iPad 9.7" 6th-Generation VS 2018 iPad Pro 11" & 12.9"

With Christmas right around the corner and the holiday shopping season is underway, which iPad should you get the brand-new nine point, seven-inch iPad from 2018 or the brand-new newly released iPad Pro and by the way we're gonna talk about that and how the fact it's 66 degrees in Miami I'm excited about that you, if you see you right, share we're going down to 49 tonight in Miami. I am so excited for that. But that's not what we're talking about today, we're talking about which iPad should you get, and before we talk about which iPad should you get DGI the company that makes the drones and the phone stabilizer and the stabilizer for DSLR and big professional cameras they're having a press event tomorrow, kind of like a keynote for a product supposedly called the Oslo pockets, we're gonna, see, and now we're going to make a video on that tomorrow. But today it's for the iPads today we're gonna, compare two out of the three models found on apple. com. Wait now that I'm thinking about it Apple still sells.

The iPad Mini with the a8 chip from a couple of years ago do not buy that iPad Mini. Unless you want and iPad Mini. You know your purpose, for that. Not only is Apple still selling the iPad Mini they're also still selling the 2017 iPad Pro 10.5 each with the 10x chip when this brand new 2018 iPad cost $250 and the head, the 810 chip do not get that version of the iPad Pro. But that's what we're gonna mainly talk about today, the 11 inch and 12 point 9-inch, iPad Pro versus the nine point.

Seven-inch, iPad and super-quick before we get into the comparison I want to talk about how the iPad Pro bends- yes, the iPad Pro bends very similar to the way that the iPhone 6 Bent's button. This isn't going to be a headliner issue because, first, it's an iPad Pro. It doesn't go in your back pocket like an iPhone did and when you sit down, the iPhone kind of you know bent, but the iPad Pro isn't going to do that unless you have a huge back pocket which I don't think most people do. The reason that we know that the iPad Pro could Bend is because jury-rigged everything did a video on the eye had prevent eyes, and he completely bet the iPad. Pro are the two weak points in the sensor, because on one side they have a microphone and that microphone is like a half of the hole already broken, and then the other side is the Apple Pencil support.

So there's only a thin line of support of the metal aluminum on both sides, not even to mention that the iPad Pro is the thinnest I've had ever at five point: nine millimeters thin that is thin thin thin. Should this little Benji issue be in your mind at all? No, not at all. If you want to consider the iPad Pro consider it for its features and don't scare away from the fact that it Bent's, and it's only gonna Bend if you sit on it, you're gonna. If you sit on most products like a laptop, it's going to bet. So all you have to do to solve.

The problem is put a nice thick case and then therefore wear it. When it bends, you would become more than five point: eight millimeters thick. This is five point, eight or five point. Nine then I'll put it right here. Let's first talk about the prices in between these two iPads.

Remember, I'm, just going to say one more time: we're comparing the 2018 iPad, which starts at $250 and there's an aster two that go against the 11 inch and 4 point 9 inches, 2018 iPad Pro, which apparently bets the 2018 iPad starts at 3 into $30 on apple. com website $300. If you're an educator with this past Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Well, you could have gotten the iPad for $250 for the base, 32 gigabytes, and if you wanted 128, it would cost the regular 3 into 34 32 gigabytes. So that was a good deal there.

I don't know if you can still find that deal. But if not don't worry it's not that much more expensive for $330 you get the 32 gigabyte version, and if you want some more storage, then 128 gigabytes is gonna. Set you back $430, the 2018 iPad comes in three colors, which is actually one more than the iPad Pro. It comes in silver, the Space Gray looking color and a gold and the iPad Pro 2018 doesn't come in that gold bearing you don't come in silver and space, great kind of disappointing. If you want that gold color on the upper version, if you want that pro version, if you want to add cellular on the iPad 6, which is the 2018 iPad, it's going to set you back an extra $130, so you can practically get an 8 10, iPhone iPad combo for $450.

If you get the iPad 6 with LTE, very interesting man, and you can get the Apple Pencil too, not a bad deal we'll get to that later. The iPad Pro comes in two variants in 11 inches and a 12-point 9 inches in fun. Fact. The 12 point 9 inches comes in at the regular size piece of papers. So just imagine a regular sized piece of paper.

The iPad Pro 4 point 9 inches is almost the exact same size as that and that's pretty cool, but that iPad is going to set you back a thousand dollars and the 11 inch is going to set you back 800, which I actually think is a pretty good deal with all the features that you're getting, and I'll get to that in just a second, considering that the iPhone 10 are I start the $750, and this is a full-fledged iPad Pro with even more features, and it only cost $50 more than that, and even if you want to put LTE on that or cellular, that's only going to set you back an extra $150, so that's still cheaper than the iPhone 10s and 10s max with this iPad Pro the base stored variant is 64 gigabytes, but you could go insane with the amount of storage capacity you could get. You could add 256 and 512, which we had on the previous iPad. But then, on top of that, you could add a terabyte of storage in iPad Pro. This is, of course, going to cost you a lot of money, a thousand nine hundred without tax to be exact. I'm going to allow for you to add that one terabyte, because I'm sure never going to do that thousand nine hundred dollars for an iPad Pro I'll pass on that.

Now that we've gotten price out of the way both of these iPads, even though they're around $500 apart support the Apple Pencil stylus, but they support different Apple Pencil styluses one supports the first-generation. The other one supports the second-generation whoa I'll take any guesses on which type at version you think the Apple Pencil version to support, so I'm going to go with the iPad Pro and ding-ding-ding. You are correct the first generation Apple pencils only supports the iPad 6, while the second generation Apple Pencil only supports the iPad Pro and the stylus experience is very similar, but the iPad Pro is kind of obviously better with the iPad Pro you're getting a laminated display, which means that whenever you touch the Apple Pencil on the screen, isn't going to make that loud. Plastic sound also with the iPad Pro ya. The magnetic connection on the side- and you can use that to pair, so I have to do- is just slap.

The Apple Pencil on the side of the iPad and it's gonna stick there, unlike the previous one, where you're going to have to do on the iPad 6 you're going to have to grab the Apple Pencil shove it right up, the lightning, cable and just let it hang there like it could break in half, not so good of a design right there, Apple I, guess you got to do what you got to do when I got a hurry-up and finish this video, because the sun's going down I'm losing my life, because I don't have a professional lighting system just yet, because this budget doesn't support it. But I'm blabbing on I got a rant and finish this comparison. Let's go on the iPad 6 you're, getting an unlimited, ? display, which means you can kinda see where the display ends on the side. You even have like black bezels on top of black bezels and, of course, on the iPad 6. You have a home button with touch.

I'd 9 in the second generation touch ID the first generation, and you got, of course the bezels all around the side. Alternatively, with the iPad Pro you're, getting that liquid Retina display, which just means it has a rounded corner on the edge, but it's still an LCD Apple's technology, behind that liquid Retina displays actually pretty cool and, along with that, liquid Retina display, you get a hundred twenty Hertz refresh rate, which is literally like butter. It is so, so good if you haven't tried it yet go to an Apple Store and try it out for yourself you're, just butter right there, and that makes the Apple Pencil 2 so, so good quickly, jumping to the CPU, where we see on the irregular version of the iPad. We see an a-10 fusion chip, which is actually gonna, handle most of your daily tasks, just completing some little emails, taking notes in class watching some YouTube videos, but it's not going to handle those professional tasks such as like editing, Adobe Photoshop, like the iPad Pro, which has an 12x Bionic chip, as its CPU I've already said this before, but the brand-new iPad Pro is faster than all the baseline Macs, including the baseline MacBook Pro. That is really insane performance power right there on the iPad Pro the poor at the bottom.

Is us PC, and you're like what us PC on the iPad? Well, Apple has finally done it they're adopting the USB standard on all their products other than the Mac, and if you go to the other side, the baseline iPad still carries the headphone jack. So, if you're still hoping and hanging on to the headphone jack, the baseline iPad still has it, and it still has a lightning connector which can't do as many things such as fast charging and external display to a monitor and 5k like an iPad Pro USB-C port can overall, which iPad should you get and, of course this is gonna completely depend on your budget, but that go to $330 iPad and especially if you had $100 Apple Pencil that that's a very good deal for most people. But if you want the iPad to replace your laptop or a computer, desktop you're going to have to get the iPad Pro you're going to have to get the keyboard, and you're going to have to get that full package to completely replace your laptop. So if you're, just looking for a normal iPad, well, the five pad six is gonna perfectly handle you fine. If you're looking for that replacement laptop, the iPad Pro is going to have to be the one, but that right there is the end of the video.

Please make sure you like and subscribe to this video, because I will see you tomorrow for the latest and greatest now, I'm going to enjoy the freezing weather.
