Samsung Tab S6 vs Huawei MatePad Pro

Hello everyone in this video I'm going to give you a quick comparison of the Samsung Galaxy Tab s, 6 versus that, while we meet at pro I am NOT going to compare all the specifications. I am only going to focus on significant differences, and I am NOT going to compare the mid-pack Pro with the Samsung Tab and six light, because the LCD panel here this is significantly better compared to what you can find one at MIX like in terms of the color vibrancy, how even the backlight is and how bright the display is. This is way better compared to the type Essex light at the time of this review, the official retail price for that have s6. This is us six hundred and forty-nine dollars for the model, with six gigs of ram and 256 gigs of storage for the mid-pack pro. This is around five hundred and twenty US dollars and this stylus the M pencil. This is an extra us.

Seventy-five to ninety-nine US dollars. This is so separately, whereas Samsung expand. This is included. The desire of both tablets look kind of similar. They have ten bezels, rounded corners.

The bezel on the Huawei is actually much thinner. The bezels on the Wow it has is so thin that I have to make a conscious effort when holding it not to have my tongue touch the display. Otherwise, it's going to detect finger input. The Samsung tablet is ten point, five inches, whereas the Huawei is slightly bigger at ten point. Eight inches Samsung is also thinner and lighter at 420 grams.

This is 460 grams and the weight is actually noticeable only if you have to have that side by side to compare it's very nice, we have a very hefty of solid, build quality battery capacity for the Samsung is seven thousand, and forty million our on the pathway is seven thousand two hundred fifty um. Our I want to show you the back of the Huawei, because you can actually place your food on the back of the Huawei for wireless charging. The power delivery is 7.5 watts. You cannot do wireless charging on the back Adela zone battery life for both tablets. Excellent, you can get seven eight nine hours easily, but that will of course depend on what you are doing on the tablet, as well as on the brightness of the display.

So if you are using auto brightness and your environment is bright, the screen will be brighter and that will create the battery life much faster resolution on both 2560 by 1600, which means you can play YouTube at 1440p and the sharpness on both displays really sharp and the brightness. This is amulet. It's supposed to be brighter compared to LCD, but right now, I have both the brightness turned up to the max, and I cannot notice any difference between the brightness. Both are equally bright in terms of how vibrant the colors are. They look kinda similar again unless I have to have that sleep eyesight, to compare it's very difficult for me to tell the difference, but one thing I do notice about the display is the view angle on the amulet.

It is much wider. So when you view the display at an angle, the colors they don't shift as much, the colors will still retain the vibrancy and the contrast. But for the LCD I notice, the colors they do shift a bit. Both tablets have a laminated display, however, the gap between the pen tip or the glass and the line that it creates beneath that gap. It's bigger here on the Huawei compared to the Samsung and also when I press down with my usual pressure.

While writing, I can see some ripple effects on the LCD gap between the S Pen tip, and will that display believe it's very small smaller than the gap from how we meet pet Pro. So when you're writing on this, it really seems like the line is coming out from beneath the pen. Tip and I can press down hard, and I don't notice any ripple effects. Camera placement on the Samsung its outside on the bezel, whereas for the Huawei it's inside the LCD at the top right here, not all apps have user interface elements designed in such a way that they take into account of the placement of the cutout camera on the Huawei. So, for example, with this app called concepts here, you can see the buttons they are beside camera.

However, if I rotate it like this see that button there it's actually below the camera, now touch actually still works, even though the camera is there, it's not all bad news, because you can actually rotate the tablet to move the camera out of the way. So, for example, now I have the camera at the bottom right, and it doesn't interfere with any of the user interface elements. Of course, you are not going to have such issues on the Samsung tablet. Here's a look at the to stall assist, so this is the Yahweh am pencil at the time of this video. This M pencil is only compatible with the meet pad Pro and the big quality is very solid.

It feels really nice to hold now this design, it's kind of similar to the Apple Pencil in terms of the shape and I like the diameter, it's thick, so it's really comfortable to who and body it's hexagonal. The pen tip is the hot plastic tip and the battery its built-in. You can charge this pencil by snapping it to the side of the tablet and UK. You can also do pairing Bluetooth, pairing automatically when it's snapped like this battery life, it's 10 hours anyway, you won't have to worry about battery life. Furthermore, you can keep your pencil on the side of the tablet all the time, and this is the Samsung S Pen.

This is included with the tablet, so you don't have to spend extra money to buy this. It comes with one side button. There is no shortcut button on the Huawei and pencil. You don't have to worry about battery life on Samsung s, pen, because it's not powered by battery and doesn't require any battery power to work the tip here. It's not the hot tip, it's our say medium to firm.

It does have some movement. You can find replacement tips for both starters very easily online for the S Pen replacement tip each one, its power to US dollars for the EM pencil replacement tip. This is ten dollars for one, both stylus support pressure, sensitivity and cute sensitivity. When drawing diagonal lines with wowie and pencil, there is slight wobble and this wobble will depend on the app that you use. Some apps will have software correction to correct the wobble to make the lines straighter.

Some do not thing is if I hold em pencil vertically, like this I can actually get the lines to be very straight. I mean the diagonal lines to be very straight and any wobble and jitter that you see here. It's from my hand, power reduction works really well on both tablets with their styluses. So for this particular app, for example, there is no strict palm rejection, which means I can actually write with my finger. However, if I would place my palm like this, you can see doesn't sense.

The palm and I can write and there won't be any stray strokes. So you can expect this sort of performance with most apps and also with some song time as six, and this is the Samsung S Pen same thing, I'm going to draw a diagonal line very slowly. So you can see this is very straight: there's no wobble or jitter at all and all those micro cheater they are on my hand. So this is very accurate and now for the latency test, take note of the gap between the pen tip and the line as it tries to catch up. So this is the Samsung S Pen on the tab has six, and this is the Huawei M pencil on the meat pad Pro.

So from what I can see, there is a bit more latency here, which means the gap between the line and the pen tip it's bigger compared to that on the tap Essex. If you write or draw wave long sweeping lines like this most of the time, then yes you're, going to notice the latency, but if you are just drawing as per normal with normal speed with medium strokes in terms of length, then personally, when I'm drawing I, don't really notice the latency. Unless I am specifically looking out for it, there is still a gap between the pen tip and the line, but it's not I mean it doesn't really affect my work. Let's take a look at pressure sensitivity, the initial activation force for the S Pen, it's very light, so you can actually draw with very light pressure to get thin lines. Pressure also works with Huawei and pencil.

The initial activation force it's slightly higher, which means you do have to press down a bit more to get those thin lines, and here I'm, not sure. If you notice, you can see some warp. Oh, so this means I wasn't able to maintain the pressure consistently. What I'm looking for is this sort of smoothness when I am drawing lines like that, this may or may not be a problem depending on what you are drawing I mean for writing when you're writing with short strokes. You're, not going to see things like this, because the drugs are so arms.

So short, the last thing I want to show you is to test sensitivity, so pay attention to red stroke, stats as I draw. You can see this stroke here. It will not go beyond the pen tip, so the stroke actually comes out below the pen tip for the Huawei amp, and so you can see the stroke it comes out from above and below the pen tip. It's not like the S Pen, where the stroke comes out from below the pen tip in terms of design the build quality, the visual quality of the display, the specifications both tablets. They are quite evenly matched for the base model of the Samsung.

It comes with six gigs of RAM 128 gigs of storage is expandable using the micro SD card slot. The base model for the hallway comes with eight gigs of RAM. That's two monkeys compared to this I'm joined, 28, gigs of storage and the storage is also expandable, but it is yeah the proprietary NATO memory card slot. Alright, let's talk about the main difference between this to the potential deal-breaker. So for the Samsung, this is running on Android 10, and it has the Google Play Store for the Huawei.

It's running its own OS called the Huawei emu, which is based on Android 10, which basically means it's a variation of Android 10, and there is no Google Play Store in its place. It has the Huawei app gallery, which is basically the group, and do you see that that's at supporter the variety of apps on the Huawei App Store the? Why we act gallery it's definitely not as huge compared to the Google Play Store. So sometimes you may see this button here at which means this app. It's not available here. You can press this button to add it to your wishlist and hopefully well.

We will tell the developer to put that app over from Android Han over to the bar. We have gallery, and sometimes they may tell you to just go to the web version of the app without the Google Play Store. You will not have access to many of the popular Android apps. For example, the Google apps calendar Gmail Maps YouTube keep so all these icons you see here. These is actually web browser, bookmark icons, and these are actually the web version of apps.

The web version of the apps they will not offer the same functionality as the Android apps. So, for example, we have the Instagram web app here. You cannot take photos and upload photos because there is no photo taking icon here, and you're going to discover when you are using the wow. It habit that there are going to be a lot of features and functionality missing with the web versions of those apps without the Google Play Store without Google Play Services, some functionality of Android apps that have been ported over to. While we are UI, you may not function properly and if you have actually purchased this app on Android 10 on some other devices, you can try to restore purchase rights, but without Google Play Services that may not work.

This is Naval a note-taking app. This app allows you to sync your notes to Google, Drive or Dropbox I've tried to set up Google Drive here. It does not work, but for Dropbox it does work. This app is concepts. This app is also from Android 10.

It was put over to Yahweh and over on Android 10 I have actually paid for all the brushes and tools, but here it wasn't able to detect the purchases I made over on Android 10 through Google Play Store, so I actually have to spend money again to buy back the same ? so yep. So that is what you can expect without the Google Play Store, especially if you are switching from another Android device over to the Huawei OS. Having said all that, you can actually purchase the Huawei Mate Pad Pro with Google Play, Store pre-installed. You just have to buy from the resellers from AliExpress and the price for the tablet weep or without Google Play Store. It's like no difference.

So if you really do want to buy what we made pad pro I recommend you buy one that has Google Play Store pre-installed I mean you can install Google Play Store yourself, but it's not a straightforward process. I've tried for hours, and I wasn't able to get it properly installed here. Alright, to sum it up, hardware wise both are excellent, so the main difference really comes down to the lack of Google, Play, Store and Google Play Services, and also the slight differences when it comes to writing and drawing with the starters provided. Alright I hope this video is useful. Thanks for watching see you guys in the next one bye.
