Samsung Note 20 Ultra Review | Should you buy it in 2021? By H.S. TV

Hello everybody and welcome back to another video from HDTV and in today's video we have a very exciting review for the Samsung note 20 ultra 5g, and I know that I teased this a few weeks ago, but unfortunately, I've just been incredibly busy with uni and various other things, so I've not had a chance to actually review this um, but this is not actually my phone. I bought this for my mother for Mother's Day, so this is actually her phone um. If you guys are wondering she didn't, let me peel off the back stickers, so it is actually still there, and I'm not allowed to peel it off um. She did agree for me to review this, however, and I know that she absolutely loves the note series and there is so much to love about it as well. I think she had the note 2 the note 4 the note 9 and now to complete the series. The note 20 ultra as well- and I know, there's been a lot of hype around this phone, especially this little camera here, but we're going to be going over everything um.

Unfortunately, I couldn't give you guys an unboxing, because we were too excited to open up the phone and I didn't have enough time to make a review um, but I will show you guys: what's in the box and yeah and everything else, you need to know about the phone whether you should buy it. Is it still worth it and all that good stuff coming up very soon so stay tuned and let's get on to it? Okay, so I wasn't actually, unfortunately, able to give you guys a full unboxing of the phone, but I can show you what's inside the box and yes, this is the note 20 ultra 5g, and you can see that the box is um, pretty much how all Samsung boxes are, but it's just getting bigger and bigger, as the phones get bigger and bigger so uh when we opened this up. Um we've also got the Sims in there and there's some reading uh in that side, and then it's got kind of a stylish little um flappy thing here that you can just pull out then in here we obviously have our charger. Now it is important to note that this is actually a superfast charger. Now, I'm not too sure how clearly you guys can see this, but this is a superfast charger, because the battery's bigger- and we want that fast charging um on demand.

So I will be telling you more about the battery afterwards, but that's uh, the charger that you get and yes, we do actually get a charger with this, unlike um, the new apple um iPhones, and all that stuff anyways um. We also have wow. My camera is really not wanting to focus today. This is the charging cable we get with it. Um I've not actually opened up all the stuff.

We had another phone um, so we used it superfast, cable but um. I did want to keep all of this for the review, for you guys. I was too excited to open up the phone though, and it's pretty much just a c cable charger, and that goes along nicely with the adapter. Now it is important to note that the note 20 ultra doesn't have a headphone jack, but this is something I didn't actually know. I thought they weren't just going to give earphones anymore, but they do instead, you just put the cable into uh, you're charging port, so it's just like a c cable rather than um like an aux type, cable and um they're, just the Samsung's own original AKG earphones that we get as well, and they're quite snazzy and um.

You know they're pretty standard, and it is nice to see that we're still getting earphones, even though we don't have that headphone jack anymore. I didn't realize that was a thing, and you get some spare earbuds as well and other than that there's pretty much nothing else in the box um. I hope that that was a little nice um unboxing type thing for you guys, but I think it is time to move on to the real phone itself to see what it's all about. So we bought the Galaxy Note 20 ultra in the beautiful mystic bronze color. This is the 256 gigabyte model which comes in at around 1179 pounds currently in the UK.

If you buy it directly from Samsung and as you can see, we have a very nice sleek design and the weight of this phone is only 208 grams. Now it is important to note that this specific model of the note 20 ultra has a space for a single sim, as well as a space for a micro SD card to extend your storage. I have heard, though, that there are other hybrid models which allow you to have a dual sim system, but I don't think that they're available in the UK currently, but regardless of that this is a very powerful piece of machinery which uses 12 gigabytes of ram and has the Qualcomm snapdragon 865 5g, plus chip, making it perfect for multitasking and right now it's using android 11, and hopefully we will get more updates on this as well in the future. But so far it's been very smooth, very fast and a joy to use for multitasking. And how could we forget the display on this amazing device? We have a 6.9 inch edge, infinity, oh display, with a 1440 x, 30, 88, pixel resolution, and on this screen we have the cornering gorilla glass Vitus, which is actually the toughest glass ever on a smartphone. So hopefully we shouldn't be too worried of getting scratches or any cracks on our screen and just to note as well, we have the fingerprint sensor under display, as we've seen in previous models as well and with a 4500 my battery, you can get up to 12 hours of use, no matter what you're doing whether you're playing games or you're watching Netflix or taking notes.

We all love to talk about the technical aspects of the display, but actually just to the plain human eye. This phone looks amazing anything you watch on. It looks clear and crisp and just really defined with the colors and the movement and everything on the display just pops out at you, and it's a real joy to watch. The note.20 ultra has two speakers, one above the display and the other on the bottom edge, and they both provide superb stereo, sound um. I just want to let you guys hear it for yourself.

I hope it's clear, and you will see what I mean when I say that this is the best speakers we've seen on any smartphone. So far, so now, moving on to the s pen, which actually slides in, on the left, hand, side- and I know in previous models- it used to be on the right-hand side. So I'm not too sure why they've changed it, but we do still have our beloved s pen here, and you can see that it's also in the mystic bronze color, and we have a black nib on the end. We have the button on the flatter side, and you can see it's not changed too much from previous models, but it is a new and improved design which should hopefully be easier to use and on the other side of the s pen, we have this like click button thing, and this is, if you want to put in your s pen, just to hold not to charge, and you can obviously click it into place when you do want it to charge. So that's a nice little touch as well, and we also have the air actions which we have seen in the past as well.

There are some extras: I'm not going to go through all of them, but they're quite fun to use quite convenient, and they are actually customizable as well. If you want to change what you do so now, moving on to the fantastic cameras, we have a 12 megapixel ultra-wide, a 100 megapixel, wide camera and a 12 megapixel telephoto camera, along with the 10 megapixel selfie camera, and, as you can see here, this is just some examples of the different cameras in action and the zooms especially, are absolutely fantastic and, as you work your way up to the 50 times zoom, you will really be able to see the improvement in quality from previous models and with nighttime photos with night mode on. You can see the difference here. I've done a little comparison with my own phone, the Samsung s9, and you can see the difference between color and focus. There's not that much graininess and the moon is really the standout for what the camera's capability is all right, guys that is going to be the end of the note 20 ultra review.
