Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 (45mm) Smartwatch | EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW | In-Depth Review

What's up guys high here from high tech reviews, so today I've got my hands on the brand new Samsung Galaxy watch three. So this is actually the 45 millimeter Bluetooth model. Now I have been waiting for quite a long time for a sequel to the original galaxy watch, and here is the original galaxy watch packaging. They didn't make a galaxy watch 2. Instead, they dropped the galaxy watch, active 2, which was a totally different design, a very sports orientated watch. So after quite a long wait, we finally have the sequel, a sequel to the original galaxy watch, one of my favorite smartwatches of all time look at the packaging totally different.

All three watches have a totally different packaging, and we are going to unbox this right now. So the first time I see this watch is going to be with you guys. So let's get this box open! You ready for this. Here we go. Let's do this slowly check that out totally different packaging to what I'm used to for these Samsung Galaxy watches.

So straight up. Here's the watch! Wow, I'm gonna! Put that to the side. Let's see what else we get in the box so over here we have an inlay so inside the box, you'll find a quick start guide and a charger. It is a wireless charger. The charger does seem quite similar to what to the previous model, and I will bring that in just to show you.

So this is the charger for the Samsung Galaxy watch active two, and this is the watch three, and you can see they look more or less identical. So if you've got an active two, you can probably use the same charger and I want to quickly show you the galaxy watch charger. So this watch comes with this type of charger like a premium charger stand, so I'm not sure if this charging stand will work or not. I will be testing all of these out shortly so here it finally is in my hands the amazing looking Samsung Galaxy watch. Three.

I will put the specs on the screen, so you guys can have a quick read now the design is definitely a lot nicer than the previous generation. The watch body is made completely from metal, stainless steel, and it's finished in mystic black. You can also get this in mystic silver and there is also a mystic bronze, but the bronze color is only available in the smaller 41 millimeter model. Now, on the front, you do have a 1.4 inch. Super AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 360 by 360, and you do have gorilla glass protection on the front.

Now the spinning rotating bezel is back better than ever and feels as satisfying as the first galaxy watch. So I'm really glad that you have the same, feel and look but with a more condensed style, making it slimmer, lighter and definitely looks better. You've got smaller bezels and quick side by side original galaxy watch on the left and the galaxy watch 3 on the right is same screen. Resolution you've got rotating bezel on both, but you have a much thinner. Rotating bezel certainly looks better, and you can see much thinner now.

This watch is powered by the same Enos 9110 dual-core CPU, so we have exactly the same processor in all three: the Enos 9110 dual-core CPU. So both variants of the galaxy watch 3 comes with one gigabyte of ram, that's both Bluetooth and LTE model and the previous galaxy watches both came with only 768 megabytes of ram. Now all three of these are Bluetooth model. If you went for either of the older models in the LTE flavor, then you would have got 1.5 gigs of ram, but fortunately Samsung has doubled the storage. So previous two watches have four gigs of internal storage and the new galaxy watch.3 comes with 8 gigs of internal storage, so the extra storage space is most welcomed. It means you can store more music and download more apps and watch faces, so I'm glad to have that extra storage.

Now there is also Bluetooth version 5 built in GPS, Wi-Fi and NFC. Now this watch is running the latest version of ti zen, which is 5.501 with one UI two on top, and I'll quickly show you that the previous generation watches have not yet been updated to the latest version of ti zen, and I have checked the firmware quickly. Show you, so you have one UI 1.5 ti zen version, 4.0.08 galaxy watch, 3 on the right and the active two on the left. So one UI version two, and if you swipe up, you can see the most recent ti zen version and the new ti zen version is not available on either of the galaxy watches, and we will go through all the new features very shortly. So yeah I went for the Bluetooth model.

I saved myself 70 pounds by doing so, and it doesn't mean that the watch needs to connect to my smartphone via Bluetooth in order to sync all the health data, and it does use the new Bluetooth 5 connection, but bear in mind that this Bluetooth version watch has a dedicated built-in triple GPS. So if you're going for a run, you can still leave your smartphone at home. Go for a run and when you come back, the watch will sync all your health data with your phone, and you're up-to-date. Again now, if you pay extra for the LTE model, it means you can leave the phone at home, and you can go for a jog and your messages and text will still come through, as you will have your 3g 4g data available at all times now. I personally don't need any data or internet when I'm going for a jog, as I use the built-in storage for my music and I use the built-in health tracking.

So what I do is copy over my mp3s. I don't need no 3g 4g LTE. I just go for a jog, come back, and it automatically syncs with my phone, and you also get a better battery life in the Bluetooth model. The LTE model stays connected to the net constantly. You do have the option to switch that off, but then it becomes pointless having the LTE version in the first place.

Now, another plus point of the Bluetooth version is, you can still make and receive phone calls as long as you have your phone nearby um. If you've got your phone in your pocket, or it's nearby, you can still you can still receive and make phone calls directly on the watch, and it actually works quite well, and here is some call quality sample. So this is a very quick audio test. I am holding this galaxy watch directly from my other smartphone, and I am talking directly into my phone, so you can clearly hear what the speaker sounds like. So, if you're having a phone call conversation on your watch, this is what you can expect.

Now. Let's talk about the battery, we have a 340 William hour battery. Now, as you just saw, I literally just unboxed this watch, so I have no idea what the battery is capable of. But if we look at what's happened in the experiences of the galaxy range, the active 2 also has the same 340 William hour battery and the original galaxy watch actually has a 472 William hour battery. Now.

Both of these watches will actually give me two whole days of usage with everything switched on, remembering that these are the Bluetooth models, so no LTE, but Wi-Fi Bluetooth. Everything on brightness medium. It would last me two whole days and on the third day it will still last me till midday. So taking that into consideration, I'm expecting this smartwatch to last me at least three days or two solid days of usage, and of course I will update you guys on the battery situation after I actually start using this watch properly. So this is now going to be my daily driver.

It's an absolutely beautiful, looking watch now we do have 5 ATM and ip68 rating same as the others, and this watch also has military standard, 810g durability rating now dimensions. It's 45 millimeters in diameter, 11.1 millimeters in thickness and weighs 65 grams. Now the 22 millimeter wrist straps are removable. They are actually made from premium genuine leather designed to give you a stylish look, but it's also quite comfortable on the wrist and in case you're wondering I have a wrist circumference of seven inches. So, yes, nice, big display quite a big watch and to give you a better idea of the size of this watch, I will bring in the Samsung Galaxy watch original.

So this is the first generation Samsung Galaxy watch, so the galaxy watch is 46 millimeters in diameter, with a 1.3-inch screen, 13 millimeters in thickness and weighs 80 grams. The galaxy watch 3 is 45 millimeters in diameter, with a 1.4 inch display, 11 millimeter thickness and weighs 65 grams, so bigger screen smaller bezels, much slimmer, design. The new galaxy watch.3 is definitely looking a lot slicker larger screen, smaller bezels, thinner device and a lot lighter, I'm absolutely loving the upgrade, and you have that rotating bezel. When it rotates you can barely see the bezel. That's how nice the design is.

Look at that beautiful- and here is the previous gen quite big, so you can clearly see it rotating very nice design and absolutely loving the galaxy watch three now. I also want to do a quick comparison with the active two, so here they are side by side. Now the active two is 44 millimeters in diameter, 10.9 millimeters in thickness and weighs only 45 grams and the galaxy watch three is of course 45 millimeters in diameter, 11.1 millimeters in thickness and weighs 65 grams. I really like what they've done in the galaxy watch: three they've more or less slimmed things down completely from the original model, it's more closely matched to the active two, but then you have that beautiful rotating bezel, which the active two does not have now. A full comparison between all three watches has to be done, so do stay tuned and subscribed for that video.

Now, coming back to the galaxy watch, 3 on the side, we have a single power button and a back button on the other side. There is nothing the loudspeaker is located just underneath. So when you're wearing that on your wrist, it's not blocking the speaker itself and at the bottom we have our all-day heart rate sensor, and this watch also supports wireless charging, and I did say I want to test out all the chargers. So here's the original you're basically dropping that on the charger and plugging that into any USB source, and it will immediately start charging. So when you put the watch on charge, it will let you know the percentage and also tell you how long it will take to charge this watch up.

I do want to quickly test out the other charges, so here I have the active two chargers and the original galaxy watch charger. So, let's see if they're both compatible just in case, if you already own these watches. So it looks like the active 2 chargers is working. Absolutely fine. Now I'm going to drop it on top of the original galaxy watch charger and see.

If that works- and I think that's a much nicer looking charger, then I got the message: use original charger and charging has stopped. So that's happened with nearly all the watches. The original galaxy watch. Charger doesn't work with the active one active two, and now it also doesn't work with the galaxy watch 3. Now, let's go through all the watch faces and features.

So here is the default watch face. Now you can change the watch face in two ways. You can grab your smartphone and immediately start changing watch faces by just tapping them, and there are so many watch faces that you can choose, but there is an easier method where you don't need to use your phone just keep the center press for a few seconds. You'll feel some haptic feedback, and then you can just swipe left and right and select. Any of these watch faces immediately.

Okay, so there's a huge selection. There you can click on galaxy store, and you can download thousands and thousands of more watch faces, so you are spoiled with choice, but what I want to do now is quickly show you the selection available on this watch right now, so those were the watch faces now. Let's check out some watch features. Now, if you swipe down from the top, you will see your connection information, so it'll tell you whether you're connected via Bluetooth or whether you're standalone you've got your battery information on the top and some of your quick toggles. If you swipe left, you've got access to more quick toggles, so I'll quickly show you what each one is.

So the first one is good night mode, so you've got your sound profile, so mute, sound and vibration I'll leave it on vibration. Over here on the side you have done not disturb this. One is watch always on so always on display over. Here is your power, so you can power off, and you can also turn off touch sensitivity. You've also got a shortcut to your settings.

So if you tap this, it will take you into your main settings now. If we swipe to the left, you've got more toggles and the first one is theater mode on and off that's water lock mode. This watch is ip68 rated, but if water goes on the screen, it will automatically start selecting things, and it will emulate swipes. So what you do is you go into water lock mode, so the touch screen will be disabled and no amount of water will activate any of your apps. Now on the top over.

Here you have your battery, so you can change your power modes from here. You can select your different power modes so standard as it is 7 hours and 16 minutes remaining. If you're going to power saving mode, you can achieve 20 hours and watch only mode, which is the which will display only a watch will give you a 7-day battery life. I will quickly show you what each mode looks like. So this is power saving mode.

It turns off everything, but the calls messages and notifications. So this is power saving mode, you haven't, got access to any apps, but you do have access to Samsung pay, and you can swipe them down. Most of these toggles are disabled, so that's battery saving mode. You will still get your messages and notifications, but that's what you can expect, I'm going to switch off power saving mode now. I do want to show you what the watch only mode looks like, so this mode will give you a 7-day battery life, so turn on, watch only press the power button to show the time press and hold to turn off watch only so here we go so watch only is literally your.

What only there is nothing else, so you can tell the time you can't do anything else. Everything else is deactivated. If you want to go back into standard mode, you have to keep the power button pressed for a few seconds, and then you will see the Samsung Galaxy watch 3 logos, and that means the watch is completely restarting. So that's all your power modes over here, you have your Wi-Fi, and you can change between the Wi-Fi mode, so you can have it on Wi-Fi on, so it's constantly on. You can have it on off, so Wi-Fi is off, or you can actually have it on auto.

So when it needs Wi-Fi, it will connect when it doesn't need, it will go into standby. So that's like a power saving, Wi-Fi mode and here's your brightness. I really like how brightness works on the galaxy watches you just spin the dial to adjust the brightness. So that's brightness, one I'll show you what that looks like brightness one everyone. So if I switch off my studio lights, you can see that's brightness, one quite good in low light situation, and now, if we just go max, so this is maximum brightness there you go nice and bright display.

It's good, no matter where you are outdoors indoors, um in any lighting situation. This screen is gonna, look great, and I like to just keep it on brightness, five or six now, just under that you have Bluetooth pairing for earbuds. So if you tap that it will basically scan for Bluetooth earbuds, and you can connect directly to the watch with your earphones or earbuds and listen to music on the go next page, you have a torch, airplane mode and find your phone. So if your phone is missing tap this finding your phone, so those were all your quick toggles. Now, let's go back to the watch, face and swipe towards the right now over.

Here you have your notifications. You just swipe up to clear the notification. Now I'm connected to an android smartphone, it's the pixel 4, so you will be able to actually reply to notifications directly from the watch. Everything works exactly how it should, it works exactly the same as if you're, connecting to a Samsung smartphone, you can change your watch faces directly from the smartphone, and you can see the huge selection available. You've got all of your settings all the settings work as they should.

If you receive a notification and that's a WhatsApp message right there, you can actually open the message, and you can reply directly on the watch. So I can reply with my voice. I can reply with a smiley, or I can type some text or there are some presets here. So if I just grab that preset and hit send, my reply has been sent. Well wait for a response.

Okay, so we just received a reply. I'm going to go into that and there you go. That's a response right there. So I can reply with smileys, and you've got emojis galore, and also you can type you can draw letters, or you can type the traditional ways. So you can reply directly to WhatsApp messages.

Bluetooth phone calls is supported on both android and iOS. It works absolutely fine, but what about WhatsApp phone calls hi hello, hi, hi. Can you hear me clearly, so this is a WhatsApp call directly on my watch? So, as you saw, you can reply to WhatsApp messages, but not just WhatsApp. You can reply to any email text message you can reply to social media Instagram Facebook Twitter, so here is a twitter post. If I click on it and go all the way down, and you'll notice that I'm actually scrolling with the bezel, which is very convenient, and again you will see the quick responses replies so on so forth.

So that's how you can reply to your notifications when you're using android, so this feature only works for android. If you connect with your iPhone, then you won't be able to reply. You will only be able to read the notifications, but on both devices you will still be able to make and receive Bluetooth phone calls. Now, when you're connected to iPhone there are some limitations. For example, you can't change the actual watch face from within the smartphone app, but you can download other watch faces directly from the app store.

You can still change the watch face by keeping the center press that still works fine, but from the app you won't be able to change the watch face. All the other options are available and seem to work. Absolutely fine and, most importantly, the Samsung health works. Clearly fine. So you open up Samsung health.

It was automatically synced to the watch, so you can see 306 steps, and we got exactly the same. They updated a minute ago. So Samsung health works absolutely fine and so does every other option in the galaxy watch app, but the other main limitation when using iPhone, is notifications. So if you've got a notification, if you tap on the notification, you only have the option to clear. So it's read-only.

You cannot reply to any of these notifications, so those were the only limitations I could find when connected with iOS um. There were no dropouts, no cut-offs, no connection issues. Everything worked seamless with iPhone, but do bear in mind. Those are the limitations. So what I want to quickly talk about is the sleep tracking.

This is the only smartwatch that I've tested in recent times, which actually keeps multiple sleep records for one night. So, for example, I slept for four hours and nine minutes, but I've got two sleep records. So if I tap on that, I just want to show you what that means. So I first went to sleep at 11:43 p. m, and I woke up at 1 19 to drink some water.

So I got one hour and three minutes sleep, and you can see all the stats there light sleep, deep sleep, etc. Then I went back to bed. The watch is smart enough to realize that so 2 a. m. I went back to bed and I woke up at 4 38 a.

m. So we got two sleep records. The Samsung Galaxy smartwatches are the only watches I've seen that can do multiple sleep records now. On other watches, I've noticed that if you go to sleep, and you wake up in the middle of the night, it won't continue to record your sleep. If you go back to bed again, so it'll only give you one sleep record it's strange, but that is what happens the Samsung Galaxy watches, and that includes the previous two models.

They actually have a more accurate sleep record. So if you wake up two or three times in the night, it will record that for you, and it will let you know how many times you woke up, and it will give you multiple sleep records. So I really like how accurate the sleep records are in the galaxy watch now, if we swipe towards the left, you've got your daily activities, so burn calories, work out and move every hour. If you tap it, then you can see your rings, so my target is 300 calories, work out for at least 30 minutes a day and move hourly. Now, let's go back and if we swipe again, you've got your app drawer.

This is your app drawer. You can hit the plus sign, and you can select any app you like, and you can customize this section exactly how you want it. If you tap the center, it will show you all your apps, so I'll quickly go through them with you. You've got your recent apps phone contacts, Bixby Samsung health you've got your local weather calendar galaxy store where you can download lots of games. Third-Party apps and also lots of watch faces here.

Are your main settings and your reminders? You can go to the next page by simply swiping, or you can carry on turning the bezel, and it will go to the next page. So we've got Microsoft. Outlook music gallery, find my phone alarm, world clock, timer stopwatch Spotify, ppt controller, and finally we have voice recorder and Samsung pay. So that's, basically all your apps. If you swipe again, you've got your activities so running cycling swimming and more, so you could actually keep these pressed, and you can edit that lineup, if you want so if running cycling and swimming is not your thing, you can remove whichever one you want to hit the plus sign, and you can choose any other exercise which you are used to so exercise bike.

I'm going to chuck that in I'm, going to get rid of running- and over here I am actually going to add walking- is in alphabetical order, so get yourself to w. If that's what you enjoy doing and there you go press the back button, so there you go, I've actually customized my shortcuts, based on the exercise I like doing. You can also hit more and select any exercise you want. So if we swipe again, you've got your local weather calendar events- music. You can basically play music either stored on the watch or directly on your phone.

So you've got eight gigs of internal storage load up your mp3s and away you go. So here is a song. That's already on the watch I'll turn it max. It's interesting to know how good the quality of the speaker is. Now, if you want to switch to phone just tap that you are now going to play music from your phone.

So if you've got music stored on your phone you hit play, it will automatically start playing your playlist. Now, if you swipe again, you've got your sleep data. This watch has automatic sleep monitoring, so just leave the watch on go to sleep, and it will give you a detailed report of how you slept and when you get to the end of the list, you will see, add widgets. So you can add more widgets. Now here are the additional widgets that you can add.

So you've got alarm app. Shortcuts calendar contacts, your reminders, blood oxygen, which is a new feature. I am going to bring that as a widget, and we are going to test that out in a bit so Samsung health and your challenges now Samsung is quite cool. It has all these challenges that you can join, and it compares you to millions of people around the world to see how well you're doing compared to them, and it really does motivate you. I haven't seen any other smartwatch, have this type of challenge and features that actually pushes you, so I am going to put that in as a widget.

Here's an interesting widget, it's a health summary, so it will tell you your steps, your heart rate, your activity and your sleep all in one page summary, that's quite interesting. If we keep going, you've got your heart rate, all users, a leaderboard for how active you are your multi workouts, which you've seen step counter stress, counter a water counter, so you can drink water and add how many glasses you've been drinking, and the next one is women's health. So you can track your health, etc. Um weather and world clock, so those were all the widgets and the cool thing about the galaxy watch is everything can be managed from both, so you can manage it on the watch directly, no problem, but you can also manage everything on the phone equally in the same way. So there's no limitation.

If you don't want to use the phone put the phone away, you can do everything on the watch, but some people do prefer using the phone. So it's nice to be able to have a choice, so battery information, and you might be wondering the battery didn't last long since you took it out of the box when you buy a product like this via a mobile phone or a watch. The first thing they tell you in the instruction manual is charge the device I haven't charged. This watch at all um I've just started using it, so the battery information probably was not correct. Obviously the stock has been lying in the warehouse.

The battery will need a full charge before you start using it, so I've only got 13, and I'm going to see how much I can get done before. I need the charger. So yeah you've got a lot of settings here. Notification, apps, widgets, sound and vibration, display advance, add content, so you can add music and images. By from this section, you've got SOS contacts, emergency contacts and your detect falls so fall.

Detection is the new feature. It can detect a fall. If you fall over, it will call or send a SOS message to your emergency contact, and I have that off at the moment, and you've got find my phone general accessibility. You've got new Bixby Samsung pay account backup your firmware updates, and you've got tips and manuals at the bottom. I want to quickly show you all the widgets, so this is the order of my widgets, as shown on my smartwatch.

So if I swipe to the left, you will see daily activities, you'll see the app shortcuts. Next one should be Samsung health, weather and so on so forth. So this is the actual order I have things set in. If I want to change stuff around without touching my watch, I can just do that. So I can bring Samsung health down.

I can bring something health up, so you can swipe up and down have a look at what else you have here's your blood oxygen, I'm going to bring blood oxygen to the second option, so it does update in real time as soon as you hit save that is if it's going to be updated on the watch. So if you pick the watch up swipe once you've got your daily activities. Second swipe blood oxygen and I look forward to testing the blood oxygen out, but there is so much to go through on this watch, so you can manage your apps. You can update them. You can change the layout.

So that's rotary view. You can have a list view, so I'll quickly show you what the list view looks like. So when you tap your app drawer, you've now got a list view so two ways of using it. If you prefer the list view here, it is if you want the original rotary view, tap. Apps.

Here's your rotary view. It feels much nicer with that spinning bezel. Now you can auto open apps. You can change the app order. You can reorder things again.

All of this can be done directly on the watch. You just keep app keep your app pressed, and you can see you can delete. You can change the order. Furthermore, you can move things around. Everything can be done from the watch as well, and I say that a lot, but it's the beauty of the device.

The ti zen OS is a very, very good piece of software. It's actually quite underrated, sound and vibration. You've got your sound profiles, lots of things you can do here. You can change your ringtones basic tones. Long vibration system sounds display options.

You've got auto low brightness, so it will just adjust the brightness to conserve battery you've got screen, timeout, show last apps background style, show charging information, etc. So the button at the bottom can be customized. That's your home button. If you press it twice, it will show you your recent apps. So these are all the recent apps and if you feel like it, you can just press close and all the apps will close immediately.

If you keep that button pressed, you will activate Bixby hi Bixby. What's the weather, like, I didn't understand that hi Bixby, what is the weather like tomorrow in London tomorrow in London? It will be rainy with thunderstorms, with a high of 30 degrees at a low of 19 degrees. Now the home button is not limited to these options. You can customize it to your own choice, so double press home key can be changed to any of the following options. You can see, there's lots of useful stuff there and the press and hold you have two options.

Furthermore, you can wake Bixby, or you can have the power off menu, so lots of advanced settings from your phone as long as it's an android smartphone. Furthermore, you can tap on watch faces at the bottom, and then you can change from any of these watch faces immediately, and I'll do one just to show you and I like this one digital playground. It takes about three four seconds, but it changes there you go, and you can customize some of these watch faces. So if you hit customize, you can change the color, and you know black and blue is kind of my thing, save that, and I'll press customize again and that looks insane, and then you've got a whole store, which I have to show you a store which will give you third-party apps. So let's have a look at the essentials.

Just to show you what you can expect Spotify, which I've already installed Samsung internet browser you've got ring. Doorbell viewer you've got your calorie counter watch translator. You got end Uber for gear. VR watch viewer for twitter watch viewer for YouTube. So, yes, you can watch YouTube videos on there, but it's not advisable.

It's not. It's not going to be a pleasant experience, and you're just going to kill your battery. So it's something that I know you can do, but I've never done it on any of the galaxy watches. I don't see the point. So these are your essentials.

You've got charts showing you all the best apps. You are truly spoiled for choice. There's a huge library of watch faces for both free paid, and you've got all your new stuff as well. So we've basically gone through all the settings. We've gone through the smartphone app, and we've gone through all the features on the watch.

I guess it's testing time. I want to test out that how accurate the blood oxygen level here is, and I'm going to start measuring it. So this is now measuring my blood oxygen levels. So that's my blood oxygen level 89. Now I've actually got a device which might be able to tell me how accurate this is.

This is the new device that I'm actually still reviewing it's an o2 ring, which is supposed to check your heart rate and your blood oxygen. It's a professional device, so we're going to measure at the same time again, so the ring is showing 96 percent blood oxygen. Let's see where the watch comes up with, so we have 96 on the ring and 97 on the galaxy watch, so that is a pretty accurate reading. Now this is a professional wearable oxygen monitor, and it's very accurate. It's like medical grade- and this is saying 96, and you can see the Samsung Galaxy watch.3 is saying 97. I'll, accept that that is a very accurate oxygen monitor there in the galaxy watch 3.

So now it's time for a comparison, I have original galaxy watch. This is the brand-new galaxy watch 3. This is how they both look on my wrist. Now we are going to do a screen on hand. Raise I'm expecting exactly the same speed.

I don't expect one to be faster than the other, but who knows, let's see what happens screen on hand, race test people, so that looked exactly the same speed to me. We're gonna! Do it again. Here we go one two three exactly the same, so the trend continues. The fastest screen on hand raise you can get on a smartwatch, the Samsung Galaxy watch, so the Apple Watch feels a bit neglected. It's time he redeemed himself.

So look how small that looks in comparison, so screen on hand raise Apple Watch against Samsung Galaxy watch three. Here we go people, oh, that was close. Who do you think won that one? I think it was the galaxy watch, we're gonna! Do it again here we go that looked identical there. Let's do a third time lucky and see what happens exactly the same. So while we're here, we are going to run a simultaneous heart rate test, and we're going to see which one is more accurate, 107 on the Apple Watch and 101 on the galaxy watch.

It's telling me is higher than average and yes, I already know that 101 and 101. They are on par now, so accurate heart rate sensors on both device. Of course, they are so the next test we're going to do is a quick walking test. So let's just initiate walking activities. So it's counting down three two one, and I'm literally going to go out of the house with this camera.

So we've got step counter, duration, distance and heart rate, and you can also get your speed. Calories average speed, so the workout's paused. It knows I'm not moving, so it's actually pause the workout. So let's take this workout outside. So I had my walk, and I've come back, so the workout is paused.

Now to stop the workout just tap finish and there you go, so we walked. You can see the timing there 637 to 641 two minutes and 58 seconds. We've done 0.09, kilometers and burnt 32 calories, and you can see your beats per minute heart rate zones. It tells you how you did give you information on your workouts, total duration, average pace average speed your average heart rate steps and the weather at the end as well. That is pretty neat, and you've got a map there as well.

So I was just walking up and down my driveway, so that's the built-in GPS dude running its magic, so that was an example of how the workouts work I went for a walk without my phone is on the table. So all I do is open up health. You can see I've taken exactly 267 steps, it's already synced it with my watch. So my activity, you can see three minutes out of 60 minute target. I tap on this, so you'll be able to see full information on that activity.

I just did so. Furthermore, I'm hiding the map because that's basically going to tell you exactly where I live. You've got my duration daily activity. Three minutes. I've done so far.

If I just scroll upwards, continue to hide the map, calories burnt, total activities, distance, uh, workouts, and you've got related content at the bottom. So that's your information on the activities. You can see what exercises you've done so view history, and it will tell you all your workouts that you've done throughout the day. That's the last workout we've done. We had a walk for two minutes and 58 seconds and remember I didn't take the phone with me.

All I had with me was my watch phone I left on the table, and it worked. It logged everything it saved it on the phone. As soon as I picked up my phone, all the data synced, so some people aren't aware you don't need the LTE model unless you're going to be using the internet while you're on the go if you're just using it for working out like I just did. Bluetooth is perfectly fine, so sleep record weight, water, heart rate, blood oxygen, is there as well at the blood oxygen, and it will give you some trends and histories and stuff. So there are two apps to manage this watch.

You have the galaxy ware app, which will allow you to manage the apps. The notifications, the sound display and also the watch faces, and also downloading other apps and everything related to health will be tracked in Samsung health. So you just open up Samsung health now. Another feature of Samsung health, which makes me want to stay with Samsung, is the together part. Here this is where you can actually join uh challenges.

So here's a green tea challenge for august you hit join, welcome. The challenge would be even better now that you've joined. Are you ready to get active? So basically you can see the flag. Is there, and you can see the rankings and achievements? So if you, if you hit on rankings, you will see how everyone has done so far. When I say everyone, I'm saying everyone in the world, that's got a Samsung Galaxy watch and that is signed up for this will come under this and the participants.

You can see this, it's a six figure, that's over a million participants, and you can also add your friends. If your friends have a galaxy watch, you can add them over here. If your friends all have apple watches, then you're kind of out of luck. You can't add your friends. So as you progress the green head, is you and the more you walk, the more ahead? You will go and you kind of want to stay ahead of that flag.

Then you know you're in a good position. So there are 19 days left for this challenge, walk as much as you can keep the watch on, and basically it really pushes you to do more, do better, and you get really motivated when you see your name right at the top, so you can see position one is taken by this chap here, but my position, if you go all the way down, is position, you can see my figure it's far from being number one and the number one person has taken, that's pretty crazy, and it works with jogging as well. You don't just have to walk and that will get your score bumped up a bit higher. So I love the challenges. It really motivates you to get active so there you have it guys.

So that was my in-depth overview of the Samsung Galaxy watch. If I wanted, I could conclude this and tell you exactly what I think of this watch. I can tell you how good it is. I can tell you how good the battery is going to be. It seems like a similar formula to what we've seen in the past, but we've got an improved design.

We've got double the storage capacity, we've got a large screen 1.4, but compared to the 1.3 on the original, and we've got the beautiful rotating bezels so software-wise. The new features we have is blood, oxygen, fall detection, and we've supposed to have ECG, but I haven't seen it in this watch. I believe the ECG will come via update and I hope they introduce that pretty soon, because Apple Watch already has it. I was expecting to have an ECG monitor, so I guess that's coming um stay tuned. Furthermore, I am gonna, make more videos on this product, the more I learn about it, the more you shall learn about it, and I'll keep creating content on this watch, a wonderful piece of technology and every time Samsung make a new watch.

Um. It's an absolute marvel. It's an absolute treat. This watch ain't, cheap um. I believe when the first galaxy watch was introduced, it was 350 pounds and I believe the price has drastically gone down.

So if you didn't want the latest and greatest, you could actually buy the Samsung Galaxy watch all the active two, depending on what style you're into um. Personally, if you look at all three of them side by side, the brand new one, the galaxy watch, 3 looks spectacular. So at this stage I can highly recommend this watch. It's got the same formula as what we've seen before with lots of improvements. I can definitely recommend this.

You've got a bit of extra ram there from 768 megabytes to a full gig of ram. It does feel a lot smoother and I don't see any lag at all, no matter what you do on this watch. I hope you found this video useful if you have any questions, feel free to fire them at me. In the comments, as you usually do- and I will try my best to respond to each one of you and when I get a chance, I will be dropping more updates in relation to the Samsung Galaxy watch, three and some updates. I will actually add to the pinned comments so check out the pinned comments and I will put some date stamps and give you updates on how the battery life did on various days.

How I get on if I go swimming or how my sleep tracking has worked on this and also follow me on social media, because I'm always going to be posting stuff about this watch on there. I hope you find this video useful. Thank you so much for watching, and I hope you all have a brilliant day. I'll see you guys in the next one. You.
