Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite Review - Better Than the Tab A7?

Hey everyone, my name is Aaron, and this is dad point 0, and today we're going to be taking a look and reviewing the tab, s6 lite from Samsung. Now for most of this review, I'm going to be comparing this to the tab. A7 that came out. This fall that I also reviewed on this channel. So I'll put a link, so you can check that one out too, but they're, both 10.4 inches they're, roughly the same price, maybe one's a little more expensive than the other, but which one should you get I'm going to try to help? You figure that out so like? I said these are roughly the same price at the 64 gigabyte model. Now you can go for the 32 gigabyte model for the tab, a7.

That would save you a little of money, but the base model for the Samsung s6 lite is 64 gigabytes, and you can also get a 128 gigabyte model. Now I bought the base model. I bought the 64 gigabyte tab, s6 lite for 279 dollars. It was on sale and that sale price puts it at the exact same price as the 64 gigabyte model of the tab, a7, so retail price. The tab s6, is just a little more expensive at that 64 gigabyte model.

But if you look around you're, probably going to find it on sale close if not the exact same price as the tab a7 and holding the tab, s6 light after just reviewing the tab a7, it feels extremely, extremely similar. It has that same 10.4-inch screen. It has the same resolution at 2 000 by 1200, pixels 16 by 10 aspect ratio, 224 pixels per inch. Furthermore, it's roughly the same weight at 16.47, ounces or 465 grams. Furthermore, it is just a hair, smaller footprint than the tab a7.

So it has a little better screen to body ratio. But one thing I could notice right off. The bat was that the tab s6 lite screen was much brighter than the tab a7. So I looked it up and the tab s6 light has an IPS panel that gets up to 435 nits of brightness, while the tab a7 has 329 nits of brightness. So that is a significant difference, especially if you're using this outdoors.

The tab so light will be much clearer, much easier to see outdoors for the rest of the hardware. It feels again very similar to the tab, a7 design, kind of the rounded off edges. The back is aluminum on the tab, s6 light, which gives it just a little more of a premium feeling. It does have that shiny Samsung logo in the back, and it does have two speakers instead of four like the tab. A7 has, however, they both feature Dolby Atmos and even though there are two less speakers on the tab, s6 lite.

I think it sounds the exact same as the tab a7. I really can't tell a difference when comparing the two speakers- and they are good speakers in my opinion, watching a movie or playing music, sound, great it gets nice and loud can fill a room. Furthermore, I love these speakers for inputs. You have the 3.5 millimeter headphone jack, the USB type-c for charging, and then the micro SD card reader for expandable storage and the ability to have expandable storage is a big deal because, after the software and all the bloatware is installed on these devices, you're only looking at about 49 gigs of usable storage and that can be used up extremely quickly, especially if you're saving photos or videos on this device. That'll get used up in an instance, so the ability to have expandable, storage and save some of that on your SD card is a big deal for cameras on the s6 light you're, looking at an 8, megapixel rear facing camera and then a 5 megapixel front-facing camera, which is the exact same as the tab a7.

However, what I do like about the tab a7 is that they move the camera from the top to the side so that, when you're holding this in landscape position, the camera is on top. This just makes it feel more kind of like a laptop where you have it in landscape mode, so the camera is on top for web conferencing. Calls and Zoom calls, however, for the tab, s6 lite, the camera still is on the top in portrait mode. Both tablets have biometric scanning, so you can use your face to unlock these tablets, which is a nice touch, both the tab, s6 light and the tab. A7 come with android 10.

The tab. S6 light has the Samsung Enos processor, while the tab a7 has the Qualcomm snapdragon 662 processors, the tab. S6 light does have four gigs of ram where the tab a7 only has three gigs. Now, typically, I don't notice a huge difference between one gig of ram, but in this case I actually do. I just feel like the tab.

S6 light is just a little more. Snappy transitions are a little more fluid, and it handles multitasking just a little better than the tab a7, and while the CPU performance of both these tablets is relatively the same, the GPU is definitely a big difference as well. The GPU on the Samsung tab, s6 lite, does benchmark higher than the tab a7, and then you combine that with one more gig of ram, and you definitely get a better gaming experience now for some games like angry birds or some really lightweight games, you're not going to notice a difference but for more graphically intense games, like maybe Call of Duty pub g games like that, you will notice a little of a difference. It'll play a little more smooth on the tab, s6 light. Unfortunately, neither of these will have Samsung decks on them, at least of this review.

I hope in the future that they do enable that for these tablets, but for now no Samsung decks on either the tab, s6 lite or the tab a7. Another big difference is the compatibility and the inclusion of the Samsung s pen with the tab. S6 lite, the s pen retails for 60 bucks, so including that in to this purchase, is a big value add, especially for those who are drawers or artists or people that just love to take notes. You can use generic styluses on the tab a7, but it's not compatible with the s pen, so that might be a big deal. Breaker for some, the s pen works great on the tab, s6 light you get these cool shortcuts with it.

It's easy to take notes or to draw you're going to want to find a way to store this, however, because it will magnetically attach to the side, but the attachment is not very strong and probably will fall off if it's not secure. Both of these have the same size battery and I get roughly the same battery life between the two I get roughly six seven, sometimes eight hours of battery usage before I have to charge it. One thing to note is that, because the tab, s6 light does have a brighter display, if you keep it on that brighter setting for longer periods of time, you will see a slightly less battery life, so that kind of covers the differences between the tab, s6 light and the tab a7. So let me tell you my recommendation: if you're looking at one of these two tablets, first, if you're an artist or someone who loves to draw or take notes, it should be a no-brainer. You go with the s6 lite, it has.

The s. Pen, support comes in the box, it's a better value, in my opinion. Now, if you don't use the pen a lot, that's where things get a little more tricky to choose, because these two tablets are so similar. My personal thinking is this: I would probably go with the tab s6 lite, just because you get a brighter display, one more gigabyte of ram and a little better gaming performance. However, if you already have a SD card, and you're thinking about buying that 32 gigabyte base model of the tab, a7, that might be a good choice, because you're going to save roughly a hundred dollars by doing that, and you still get a great tablet.

But again, that's only if you already have a SD card or if you can get one very cheaply, because you only get about 19 gigs of usable storage on the base model, tab a7. So you're going to need some extra storage. So again, if you're, a writer or a drawer or an artist, go with the tab, s6 lite, that's the best option for you. If you don't use the pen often either one of these is a great option. I think you're going to be happy with either one all right.

Everyone I'm going to wrap this up. I appreciate everyone watching. I hope this helps you make a buying decision. If you liked the video press that, like button consider subscribing, I got a lot of new content coming out soon. I appreciate it guys I'll catch you in the next video you.
