Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 2019 Gaming Review (Can It Run Crysis?)

Welcome to another episode of geek outdoors comm, so in a previous video I did an unboxing and review of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 mm 19 Editions, and on this episode, I'm going to be digging in further into the gaming performance on this. For people who might be curious about whether a budget tablet like this can actually do gaming, and so I'm going to go through some casual games and get into more intensive games and then also get into other types of gaming's that I enjoy and to see whether this tablet can handle it. So, let's go ahead and start off with something that's really simple, and that is going to be something that doesn't require a lot of power, and that is a puzzle game, so I'm going to open this up bubble, shooter, so there it is, and so for actual puzzle games like this. It's really simple to play and the overall sound quality on here. It's okay! Furthermore, it's not bad! You know, but don't expect anything amazing, but for games like this, this tablet has no problems at all playing this. As you could tell right away, you know the graphics and colors look perfect I think on this 8-inch tablet.

So if you are wanting to play like really easy puzzle games like this, this tablet has no problem in running that. So now let's go ahead and try another game, and so now let's try a game. That's a little more demanding but still fairly casual, and that is Mario run a lot of people like playing this on their phone. But it's pretty good on a tablet as well, and this is one of those games that does require an internet connection and, as you could tell it loads a little longer, and then I would like, but let's go ahead and try this out see if Mario can survive the gauntlet of guitars. So you can see here no problems at all playing Mario run, really fun, pretty responsive as well when it comes to controls.

So if you do love Mario games- and you want something a little more demanding when it comes to your casual gaming, then you're not gonna, have a problem here. With this tablet, then Mario run. It's a lot more fun than I thought. It was gonna, be checked this out Wow. So this is great.

If you are somebody who loves Mario games- or maybe, if you just have younger kids and the tablet is perfect for that- because I think it's just the right size to get a great gaming experience, but at the same time it's not so big where you're going to have to have problems when you're trying to play these games, especially for extended periods of time. Yes, pretty awesome. So now, let's get into more of the graphic intensive games. These are ones, that's definitely going to test your system, and so the first one I'm going to try is asphalt 8, it is a racing game, and it requires some fairly heavy specs and so you're, probably not gonna, get the highest quality of visuals and performance on this. However, as you see, it's still very playable, so I'm going to go ahead and start that up and then turn this volume down a little.

So let's go ahead and play a career now one thing you will notice with a lot of these games that the load time is going to take longer because of the actual graphics horsepower and processing power that most of these games require, and especially if they need to require any type of online on always access. There's going to be some issues with that as well, but overall you'll be surprised at the form formers here. If you look at the graphics here, it looks pretty good and in terms of the resolution that this tablet has is 1280 by 800. So it's not the highest resolution, but it's definitely not the worst as well. So, as you can see, here looks really great to me performance overall, it's pretty good, and then we're going to try this mattress, and it's you could probably tell everything, runs pretty smoothly.

Now there are places where you're going to get some jerkiness or some freezes and or drops in frame breaks, but overall I'm thoroughly impressed by the overall graphics performance on this and also the overall speed you know, I, don't think it's really lacking, despite the fact that this is a budget tablet and overall, if you are the type of person who does want to play some of the more modern games, this can do it and asphalt.8 is a fairly graphic intensive game, so I'm going to try one more racing game. That is a little newer than this, and that also requires an online connection and that's going to be Need for Speed. So let's go ahead and try that out. All right here is Need for Speed no limits you could tell the graphics are perfect, and I'm thoroughly impressed by how this looks on the screen, even if it's not 1080p or higher I still think. This is an excellent screen for this type of gaming, and this one I think is even more graphically intensive than asphalt.8 there's a lot of reflections of stuff on here. So, let's do a little racing in the city all right! Let's do this so, as you can see, they're about the only thing I would say whenever you're playing these more demanding games on this tablet.

Sometimes the touchscreen is not as responsive, so I'm, not sure. If that's because of the screen itself- or maybe it's because of the game, because it really depends on the type of games that are playing on this, and I'm playing more casual games. The actual touchscreen seems to perform a little better when it comes to responsiveness. But as you can see here, the game runs pretty good, and I would say it runs a little smoother than asphalt.8 in terms of I, don't get as many frame drops or freezes, but then again, I think, there's a lot more things going on in asphalt, 8 when it comes to the amount action. So let's go ahead and try this nitrous yeah.

So not a bad experience at all and the graphic quality on this is pretty excellent. All around so that's Need for Speed and no limit on the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9. Let's get into the favorite way, I love to game on this tablet, and that is through retro gaming and the emulator I'm gonna. Try is red ream because it does require quite a bit of power, and so this is really going to test. The system, but you're going to be pretty surprised at how great the performance is, especially considering business once again, a budget tablet, so I'm going to start off with detangle USA, which is a really fun game.

I play there's so many times on my original dream cast, so we're going to go ahead and get this started. So, as you see there, this is Daytona USA. This runs so good on this, and this is something that I didn't think this tablet was going to be able to do because the Dream cast emulator does require some power. But it's here you can see here it looks perfect. So let's go ahead and start a game.

Real, quick, so check this out. Rolling start man I love this and, as you can tell right here- and this looks awesome- you know so for somebody who loves retro gaming, this tablet is gonna, give you tons of hours of fun, and honestly I really don't see any drawbacks. You're playing retro games on this now. If you play other less intensive systems you know or MADE, then this has no problem playing those games about the only places where I think this is gonna really struggle when it comes to emulators is probably something like PlayStation or the Sega Saturn, but overall I think if you are the type of person who loves playing emulation games, you really can't go wrong with this budget tablet, so I'm going to go ahead and try another game on the stream cast emulator. Well now that I've already lost a race.

So let's go ahead and try another Dream cast game answer here. We have Sonic Adventure one of the original great games on this Sega Dream cast. Whenever I first saw this, it absolutely blew me away, and here we now have it on a tablet and there's Sonic right there. So you can tell no problems running this game, so we're going to go ahead and try to skip through this as fast as possible. So I could show you some action in this game, and so here we finally get some Sonic, awesomeness, and I'm, really, overall still impressed by the fact that this is now playable on a tablet and, as you can tell, everything is smooth.

It's fast, no problems at all, and I think the graphics just looked great on this tablet. It's way better than the resolution we had on our old CRT monitors. So, as you could tell, this tablet is excellent for retro gaming for fast website hosting and top-notch customer service and features check out psych round their preferred service news at geek outdoors, calm for more information check out the filament in the description area below, so she could probably tell gaming performance on this. Tablet is pretty awesome whether you're playing games out of the Google, Play, Store or playing retro games like this there's really not much that you're going to be missing and even though it can't play the newest games at the highest resolution and frame rates. I still think.

It's really amazing the performance you're able to gather this, especially considering the price that you're paying. So that is my overall thoughts on the gaming performance on the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8 point an ethos of this, whether you have this tablet or you're thinking about it, be sure to leave that in the comments' area below and if you wanted to see.
