What's up guys we're back with the news: it's been a fun unpacked event day. Hope you guys have enjoyed the coverage, but let's get down to the business. That is the galaxy s22 news. Some interesting stuff has happened during the unpacked event during the unpacked presentation. At about 46 minutes, when Samsung talks about the one UI 3.1 features in one of the split UI mention, you can see the text that says ss22 means spring summer 2022 as in fashion trends, but considering their next flagship phone will have the s22 number. This might be a hint some news.

Publications are even speculating that these will be the colors for the s22 lineup, the flamingo, pink and pistachio green. I think the possibility is there, but it's a bit far-fetched. Nonetheless, it's something that was worth to mention now, moving on to some more real stuff which is under display camera. I've actually tried this out in person and as much as it is suitable for a fold phone that has multiple selfie cameras. It's absolutely not suitable at all for a traditional Samsung Galaxy s, flagship phone, the quality out of this sensor that Samsung has used at least on the fall.3 is a massive downgrade compared to the 40 megapixel front camera you get on the s21 ultra realistically, where we are right now, with this under display camera innovation, it's highly unlikely that we'll see this technology on the s22 ultra most likely they will stick to a punctual camera, which would be a great decision for quality. Also, a couple of days ago, the entire model numbers of the s22 family was leaked.

We've got SM, s901x, sms-906x and s908x, which is for the s22, s22 plus and s22 ultra respectively. The new naming scheme for the model number is still keeping the number 900, but it swaps the g letter with an s now, camera wise, exciting innovations are expected to happen for the s22 ultra, like a continuous zoom plus Samsung's collaboration with Olympus to create some amazing stabilization, but for the future, Samsung can do something really incredible: enter movable camera system that allows variable aperture like a DSLR. According to a brand new Samsung patent, we have a camera system that has movable lenses the ultra-wide and telephoto lenses on the sides. You can actually move the cameras in the camera application with just some touches, and that will not only change the field of view, but also change the aperture as well. Imagine a situation where you want to take portrait mode photos.

You can use a smaller aperture lens like an f 1.4 lens that will give you a perfect blur and then switch to other lenses depending on the situation. Again, this whole process looks really complicated. So I expect something like this to happen in like two to three years. Variable aperture is something that Samsung has tried out with the s9 series, but it was mostly a gimmick, so we'll see if this actually brings something incredible to the table.
