Samsung Galaxy S21 Vs Samsung Galaxy S20! (Quick Comparison)

Welcome back everyone, let's go ahead and talk about the newly released Samsung Galaxy s21 and see how it compares against the Samsung Galaxy s20. Now I will be completely honest: if you have a Samsung Galaxy s20, please keep it. There's absolutely no reason to go up to the galaxy s21 and in some ways it is actually a downgrade which is pretty insane. So the front kind of has the same thing going on, and obviously this is a quick comparison. I'm going to be ordering all the s21s and going to you, know, review and compare all those on the front, though, there are already some differences now from the images and everything that I've seen, there seems to be a little more bezel around the s21. So keep that in mind, I'm not really to sure, if that's the case, but that's kind of what I'm seeing.

You have pretty much the same size screen on the front, though so nothing super crazy. There same hole, punch display. However, we are now going from a 1440p panel down to a 1080p panel, which I don't know. If that's going to be a big deal, I'm kind of annoyed by it because you know you're kind of going from your know from one generation to the other, but you're decreasing the know, quality of the display. That's one thing that kind of rubbed me the wrong way.

Are we going to notice a big difference, I'm not too sure, but that is something that kind of was a little annoying, if I'm being completely honest, but they still have the 120 hertz. As far as I know, still the fingerprint sensor in the display as well, so nothing super crazy there. So at least they kept those things. But still, though you know going down- and the resolution is something that I don't really like on the bottom- you still have USB type c ports. You still have IP certification, which is great.

However, Samsung did remove the micro SD card slot on the Samsung Galaxy s21. What this means is that whatever storage you get is whatever you're going to get, and I've said this before- I don't know why they did that because they sell micros card slots, or they sell micros card. So I don't know why they did that it's kind of a waste of thought to even say it, but with the galaxy s20, you still have that micro SD card slot, which is a great thing in my opinion, and on the back. They did another weird thing: I don't know what they were trying to do with the s21. They went from a glass back on the galaxy s20 to now a plastic back on the galaxy s21.

Now I don't know why they did this. This is a very, very weird thing, because the other models have glass. This one has plastic on the back, and that is a very annoying thing. I don't know why they, you know again, they make the phone feel so premium, and we've had glass on the backs of every single galaxy phone since the Galaxy S6, which came out forever ago. So this is the first one that actually doesn't have a glass back anymore.

Is it a big deal? I'm not too sure. You're, probably gonna, put a case on it anyway, but it's just one of those more annoying things. Now, on top of that, the galaxy s20 when it first came out, I believe it was selling, for you know 8.99 when it first came out or 9.99 whatever it was, they did decrease the price of the galaxy s21 to now 7.99. So I think that's a perfect thing, so it's kind of more in competing with the know, iPhone 12, so it'd be very interesting to see how both those phones compare, but it's still very weird that they did this. That type of you know decreasing of the quality and all this stuff.

Now we do have the triple camera setup. On the back and as far as I know, and as far as I've heard from other creators, it seems like it's about the same thing. It looks like you know, it's probably a better camera setup. You still have 8k, which is great. We really don't know much else with it, so once I get my hands on it, I'll do full camera comparisons, and all of that so as at this point, I'm not really to sure 100 what's going to be happening with this camera, but I can only assume it's going to be better performance, wise, we're also getting an updated snapdragon processor.

So we went from the snapdragon 865 on the previous model to now with the snapdragon 888 on the galaxy s21. So that's another pretty big deal. We still have pretty much the same amount of ram on both models as well. So keep that in mind, but it's I'm still going to assume it's going to be an extremely fast phone for the most part. You know, Samsung phones have always been pretty fast.

It's just the UI that I really don't like about it, but regardless that's pretty much all we got you know, but also the battery life has stayed the same. We still have that four thousand million power battery and I think that's totally okay. I think this is the first time in a while that we haven't gotten an increase in battery size. I think from the Galaxy S7 we've pretty much seen an increase in battery size up until this device, but it is what it is, there's nothing we can do about it. So I'll definitely tell you.

I would rather have a galaxy s20. As of you know, right now than the galaxy s21 for multitude of reasons, but I'll talk about more of those in my full comparison, but that pretty much covers it up.
