Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra Vs Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra! (Comparison) (Review)

Welcome back everyone, I'm pretty sure everyone has already pretty much seen the Samsung Galaxy, s21 ultra and so many comparisons of it. I finally got my s21 ultra and I feel left out dude because I literally like ordered it the same day. I ordered the other ones, and I'm already done reviewing the other ones, but let's go ahead and compare the s21 ultra to the galaxy s20 ultra its predecessor and kind of see, which one is the better value I mean, if you have the money, definitely going for the s21 ultra is the better deal, but here's a crazy thing on Amazon right now, because they've already to appreciate it this much, which is so insane. You can pick up a s21 ultra with the same price as a brand new s21 plus, and I'd probably recommend picking up the s21 ultra, so I'll leave both these phones linked down below, but you can also get them from cheapphones. com, which is my website either or you're, helping out the channel. At the same time, now, starting off with the front of both these phones, the Samsung Galaxy s20 ultra actually has a bigger 6.9 inch, dynamic, AMOLED display it's a 1440p panel, and it's a very good panel. Like I said before, this is a killer panel.

Still 120 hertz hole, punch, display the whole nine yards fingerprint sensor, the display. This is a very good panel and I really don't think, there's a ginormous difference between this screen and the screen. That's on the s21 ultra. So between both I mean the s20 ultra is still current. It still looks perfect and I very little to complain about it.

The s21 ultra has a little like a tiny bit. Smaller 6.8 inch, dynamic, AMOLED display they are practically the same panel. At the end of the day, they're like almost exactly the same. The s21 ultra is a little smaller, but you don't really see it like. I don't release you don't notice the 0.1 inch difference. It's a 1440p display, they're 120 hertz, the same exact display.

Maybe the s21 ultra better is better. Who knows, but they're both pretty much the same thing when it comes down to their panels, both of them have USB type c ports on the bottom, both the mob IP certification, but the biggest difference between these two is probably the micro SD card slot. You are not getting a micro SD card slot on the s21 ultra, where you are getting one on the s20 ultra. So, as I said before, it's kind of like we're going backwards like how can we have a feature that was so cool on the phone before and not have it on the next generation? It's something that doesn't make any sense to me. It's something that I really don't know why Samsung does this, but it is what it is, there's nothing we can do about it.

But that is something that I really do miss about the s20 ultra, but we do have the new s pen capability on the s21 ultra. So that is something that's really cool. You lose the feature, but you also gain a feature, and the s pen is something that's really awesome. Unfortunately, it doesn't really connect to like there's no way to actually like to have it on the phone without buying a case, but I think regardless it's a cool little feature, and I'm glad they put it in on the back frosted glass back on the s21 ultra, where we had that standard glass back on the s20 ultra and I think the s20 series had a awful looking backs. I never liked them the s20 series.

S21 makes it so much better and this one is far superior to the s20 ultra for sure. So when it comes down to the outside and the bodies, the s2001 ultra, I think feels better in the hand it looks better, but I really don't think there's that big of a difference between the bodies of two so keep that in mind. I think I would probably sign with the s21 ultra for the body type, but I do miss the micro SD card slot on the s20 ultra. I think that was a really cool feature that we had on that device. So in terms of the outside that pretty much covers it up now hitting on the cameras like I said before, you know kind of the same type of camera setup.

The s20 ultra had the 108 megapixel wide-angle lens 48, megapixel, periscope telephoto lens and a 12 megapixel ultrawide sensor with that 0.2 megapixel depth sensor with the Samsung Galaxy s21 ultra has that 108 megapixel wide angle, lens 10, megapixel, periscope, telephoto, lens 10, megapixel, telephoto lens, then a 12 megapixel ultrawide sensor. So we do have a kind of like an additional lens on the s21 ultra. Even though we had that depth sensor on the s20 ultra now they both can do 8k. They both can kind of do the same thing. They have the same things going on, but what I can tell you is that the s20 ultra's camera is still extremely beautiful.

This is a solid camera for sure, and it's really hard to just like justify upgrading. You know going from a s20 ultra to the s21 ultra because of the camera. They pretty much have the same exact thing going on, and I'm so glad you know the s20 ultra had a beautiful camera and if it's anything like that on the s21 ultra I'll take it now. The s21 alt is probably a little better, but you are going to have a perfect camera setup on the s20 ultra regardless now the s21 ultra does bring a kind of better telephoto lens. Overall, I did find that the rest of the sensors are about the same.

The UIs are almost identical, and I think the 8k, the 4k at 60. These are some really strong resolutions and between both maybe the s21 ultras is better, but I think you know both of them are almost exactly the same: 4k 60 on the front and almost exactly the same front cameras as well, and that's a good thing. You know, even though there was a little less innovation this year than last year for the cameras I'll take it. This is a very solid camera, and I'm glad Samsung, you know improved it, I'm glad they put 8k on all their cameras. This time and not just like saved it for the plus or ultra models, so I think in terms of the camera setup, Samsung Galaxy s21 ultra wins, but the s20 ultra is like 99 of what that phone is.

So in terms of that that pretty much covers up the camera standpoint now hitting on. Probably, I think the bigger difference between these two phones, which is probably the software, so the Samsung Galaxy s20 ultra started off with android 10. The s21 ultra started off with android 11, so realistically you're going to be getting an extra year of software support on the s21 ultra, but here's the thing that's probably kind of churning through my head Samsung is committed for some reason. The last like seven months of just increasing their lifespan of their devices. They just increased it by one full OS update.

Just when the note 20s release was out, but they also just increased it to one year extra of security updates, so you're getting three years of OS support and then four years of security updates, and I think that's a strong thing. So I feel like the longer we have. You know support on the device aka s21 ultra the farthest of a chance we have of even extending that even longer in the future and if Samsung were to ever switch over to a fully stock version of android, which I don't think they're ever going to do at least for now the Samsung Galaxy s21 ultra has a higher chance of experiencing that than the s20 ultra-right now. So that's one main reason why I'd probably recommend upgrading, especially right now, because s21 ultra has gone down in price you're. Probably going to get you know a longer lasting phone from that device, but I also think the s20 ultra I mean if you're, okay with the software and everything, that's such a killer device too, and it's literally still just getting started.

It's not even halfway through its life cycle. Yet so both of them kill it. In that aspect, the s21 ultra winds, though, in terms the battery life, though they have the same exact size, battery 5, 000 million powers, and I don't think you're going to notice that big of a difference between these two either they both have wireless and reverse wireless charging. So those are strong things to have on this type of device, and I can definitely tell you this device kills it in both areas. So when it comes down to it, this is probably, I think, one of the bigger differences.

The battery life are probably the same, but the main reason I would recommend upgrading from a s20 ultra to a s21 ultra is probably the software versions, if I'm being honest, so in terms of that that pretty much covers it up there. Now the performance wise now, like I said before they kind of have like the same exact thing going on, and I just got hiccups, so I feel like I'm gonna, have to edit out a bunch of hiccups, but the s20 ultra inside it had that Qualcomm snapdragon, 865 chipsets, with 12 gigabytes of ram on the base models and then 16 gigabytes of ram on the top tier model and the s21 ultra, you know has that Qualcomm snapdragon 888 chipsets, with the same exact ram models, 12 gigs of ram on the base model, 16 gigs of ram on the top tier model and here's what I'll? Basically tell you about this pretty much the Samsung Galaxy s21 ultra is probably the faster phone. You know it's going to do things faster, but it's really not that big of a difference, if you have a s20 ultra going to the s21 ultra, is not worth the upgrade. You know. Maybe if you have like a s10, you know or s10 plus then going to the s21 ultra may be a bigger difference, but you're pretty much experiencing almost the same exact things, and if you gave me the s20 ultra and the s21 ultra, I don't really think I'd be able to notice that big of a difference, if I'm being honest, they both kill it in terms of performance, and I will tell you this is not the area to improve on.

This is not the area to go ahead and switch from your s20 ultra to the s21 ultra, because the s20 ultra still kills it whatever I did with it. It handled it extremely fine. Heavy intensive games, split screen, multitasking ram management. It kills it all in all of those areas, because there's just so much ram there and there's just so much performance there and the s21 ultra extends that even further, and I think that's great, I think that's a really strong thing about this phone but, as I said before, you are probably going to ultimately have a better experience, maybe on the s21 ultra, but it's not worth it're, almost exactly the same thing, and I'll probably tell you, if you have a s20 ultra going to the s21 ultra is not that big of a difference in terms of performance. So in terms of that that pretty much covers it up now to kind of sum up this video and answer the question: should you go and pick up a s21 ultra? Should you pick up a s20 ultra? Well, this is pretty much.

What I'll tell you. I think. If you have a s20 ultra, you are pretty much set. I would highly recommend staying there. I would not recommend going through, and actually you know, upgrading your device to a s21 ultra as of right now, there's just so little differences that it doesn't really make any sense to do it.

The main reason, like I said before is probably you know the fact that the software experience may potentially be better on the s21 ultra the fact that it's going to be getting an extra year of support. I think that's cool, but I really don't think it's worth the upgrade. I think if you have a s20 ultra keep it, but if you plan on like, if you're coming from, like a galaxy, s9 or you're coming from an iPhone 7 or something like that, and you're wanting to see which one of these you want to get, I will tell you as of right now. Furthermore, I would probably recommend, like you know, getting the galaxy s20 ultra. Furthermore, I feel like that phone is ultimately going to give you the better bang for a buck and even though it's you know older than the s21 ultra you're, not missing out on anything, they are almost like identically, the same phone.

You know they have the same features. They have the same, pretty much everything as long as you don't care about the s pen, capability on the s21 ultra and then extra your software support, which doesn't even really matter right now then you're going to be perfectly fine, but eventually, probably like a year or two from now. I think it may be smarter to get the s21 ultra so resell. The s20 ultra get the s21, but I think at the end of the day the s20 ultra is probably the phone. I would recommend more people to get because it's cheaper, but that's 21 ultra.

If you have all the money in the world get it, but also you know if you want to just prolong the life of a device that you want to have that's 21 ultra is probably the one I would recommend too. So in terms of that, that pretty much covers it up.
