Samsung Galaxy S20 vs S20 FE / Simple Comparison Review

How's it going guys today, I'm gonna, compare the Samsung Galaxy s20 versus the Samsung Galaxy s20 Fe, if you're planning to spend some money throughout the holidays, which one is the better buy, because if you spend enough time looking around, you can probably find the s20s price to be about the same or even lower than the Samsung Galaxy s20 fan edition. I think this is the biggest section to determine if you're planning to get the s20 or the s20 Fe. Since the regular s20 is a flagship model, it does have the better quality material in terms of the glass back, whereas the s20 Fe is the budget model, so it does have a plastic bag. But personally I do prefer that over the glossy finish on the regular s20, because I, like the smoother, feel the matte finish, and it does collect a lot less or pretty much no fingerprints at all and the next thing you'll notice is the physical size. The fan edition is the bigger model. So if you do want that phone to watch more content or just scrolling through Instagram and all that stuff, then it's an easy choice for you to pick.

But not everyone wants a bigger phone like for me. I do have smaller hands, so the regular s20 fits better. It feels more comfortable, and it's easier for me to get around the phone. I can also put a really thin case on it, and it still doesn't feel that massive in my hands, the only problem for the s20s. For me, both phones is its pretty tall.

So if I do want to reach something on top of the screen with one hand, I'm going to have some trouble. The screen resolution on the vent edition isn't as high as the regular s20, but they both look really identical. I can't really tell a big difference between the two. When I'm watching content and plus there are Samsung displays, so the colors look really vibrant and colorful for performance. They both feel pretty much the same from day-to-day usage, whether I'm scrolling through Instagram or watching YouTube videos.

It feels really similar, even though the Fe does have the same processor. It has less ram and even though it does again, it feels pretty much the same thing for software. Furthermore, it is pretty easy to use, especially throughout the years with the one UI now I would say that, even though it's simple to use, it still gives you a lot of options to give you more customizations and personalization. So if you want more full control of your android phone, then I would recommend Samsung in terms of battery life. The fan edition does last longer just because it does have the bigger battery, and it's running on a lower resolution screen, so it uses less power but for everyday use.

They both can last me throughout the day easily. I can even push it to a day and a half if I wanted to, so I would say if you are a regular or casual user, there are no worries about battery life. The only type of people that would pretty much need to worry is if you are a heavy smartphone user or a gamer, and at that point, if you know you do play a lot of games, then I would just go for the fan edition. So for the front-facing camera, the s20 does have a more saturated look, so it does pop out more, whereas on Fe edition everything looks a bit more flat. So for me, I would prefer the front facing camera on the flagship s20 now moving on to portrait mode, I would say the colors are really close to each other.

The s20 does have a bit more contrast. Look just a tiny bit punchier, but I would say the biggest difference here is: the s20 does have an option where you can zoom in, whereas on Fe edition or Fe, it doesn't have an option for you. You just stuck with that one lens. Another thing I noticed on s20 is it does capture or recognize the subject faster? If it's a regular person or a simple object, then they both will do fine, but just more complex stuff like trees or flowers and stuff. I would say that s20 does recognize better or quicker, so you can actually take the picture faster.

So if you love taking pictures in portrait mode, then s20 is the way to go now for the back cameras, I would say they are so identical. I can barely tell the difference. The only thing that I really notice is the warmth. The s20 does capture the yellow sun better, so you do have that warmer tone feel, whereas on Fe, it's stricter on the white balance- and there are some little things here and there I would say. Sometimes the s20 does get the better HDR.

It seems better in the shadows, whereas on Fe is a bit darker, it's little things. It's not totally uh consistent. Sometimes it's better on s20, sometimes better on Fe. So I would say it's really the same for the most part. Now moving on to video in 4k ultra-wide, I noticed that the stabilization on s20 is way smoother.

It's its like almost like I'm on gimbals, whereas on Fe, sometimes you can see that unstable shakiness. Now, switching to the main cameras, the s20 seems like the stabilization is not that good. Every time when I take a hard step, I can see the shakiness, whereas on Fe it's really smooth. So it seems like they kind of switch roles here and the last big difference is the s20 can shoot in 8k, which is not really common. I don't think a lot of people would just go for this.

It's really situational or just if you just want to flex now and to me personally. I think it really comes down to the physical size and possibly the battery life depending on if you are a heavy smartphone user everything else in terms of performance, the software, it feels really identical, so I feel like you're still getting the full Samsung experience. I think if you can find the s20 cheaper than a Fe, then I would say it's pretty worth it because you are getting the higher quality phone in terms of material, and you are getting a higher res screen, but from a full price perspective, I feel like the Samsung Fe edition will give you the better value for your money. So that is my experience between these two phones. If you do want to see more content from me, don't forget to like and subscribe.
