Samsung Galaxy S20 FE (Fan Edition) Unboxing & Overview By Geekyranjit

Hi guys this is transit and in this video let's do the unboxing and have a first look at the Samsung Galaxy s20 Fe FM stands for fan edition and, as you can see, um nothing on the box at the back. This is new trend that Samsung is doing here. It says galaxy, s20, Fe and guys, I'm sorry for the delayed video. I got the unit very late, just a couple of hours before the embargo uh and I don't know the exact pricing. The pricing is supposed to be just below 50 000, for this variant and I believe in India, there'll be only one variant that comes with eight gigabytes of ram and 128 gigabytes of storage. Again I'll leave the link in the description below.

So, let's cut the seal guys, and apart from this one boxed unit, I also got two more units because this is launched in multiple colors. So this is the cloud red, and this is the cloud navy and this one what they have sent us is supposed to be the mint. So let's have a look at this, so new colors that we are getting uh. So this is that new, mint color so certainly pretty different and uh guys uh. This is actually uh sold worldwide, and it's in various variants uh.

This is a regular galaxy, s20 Fe variant. This is the 4g variant. Hence, come with the Enos 990 soc there's also one more 5g variant that will be with snapdragon, but that's not launching in India. So here are the three colors that I have. I believe it's launched in five different colors.

Don't worry guys the review units going back to Samsung anyways? Let's just look at this one. I like this color. What do you feel about this one? This mint color has slight gradient: it's not the exact color and guys uh. The back is actually polycarbonate. It feels like glass, but it does elastic kind of material anyways.

Let's see what else do we get in the box uh? So here is the charging pack uh, but this is just a 15 watt charger that is put in the box, but this device does support 25 watt charging. I don't know why Samsung didn't put a 25 watt charger. Anyways uh here is the cable. That's the USB type, a to type c, that we are getting and there'll be a sim ejector tool. So that's it on the box, no headphones on anything I'll.

Just keep this to the side and let's look at the handset itself. So here is the handset itself. Let me just zoom in a little so, as you can see uh this wasn't supposed to having a 6.5-inch screen guys, and it's a super AMOLED screen with 120 hertz refreshing. So that's the unique thing and on the top we have the sim tray. So here it's served.

So let's pop this up and see what we are getting in, India, I'm pretty sure it'll be hybrid. Yes, it's a hybrid slot, so one uh NATO sim here you can put- and this is a hybrid solution- uh, but the micro SD card it supports up to one terabyte. If I recall so yeah, that's what we have storage is 128. As I've told you uh. We also have a secondary noise cancellation microphone.

This uh, this exterior chases, is supposed to be made up of aluminum guys. This one, the chases- and here we have the volume power on off button and the bottom will be the speaker- and here is your type c port main microphone, and on this end, actually nothing. That is surprising. So that's what we have. We have a triple camera setup on this one.

Our main is a 12 megapixel. Then we have eight megapixels uh that is actually 3x zoom. Then we have one more 12 megapixels, that's ultra-wide front facing is surprisingly 32 megapixels. This is even more than the regular s20 plus. So that's what it is, and let's just power this on.

I hope it has a charge it's supposed to have 4500mah battery and guys by the time it actually boots up- and I set it up here- is a configuration overview. This Samsung Galaxy, s20 Fe, is having a 6.5 inch super AMOLED, full HD plus screen with 120 hertz of refresh rate, it's powered by the Enos 990 soc, it's uh having 8 gigabytes of ram and 128 gigabytes of storage. It is also having ip68 certification moving to the camera. It has a triple rear facing camera.12 megapixels is the main one with optical image stabilization. Then we have eight megapixels with 3x zoom.

Then we also have 12 megapixels, that's ultra-wide front facing camera is 32. Megapixel can also shoot 4k video. We also have wireless charging and Samsung pay, and it has a 4500 William battery so guys I've set up this device. So let's have a closer look at the same now, it's just setting up so, as you can see it's setting up so again, we have the quick toggles over here, and again it has all the functionality for even wireless power share wireless charging uh, as you can see, edge lighting, NFC uh. This also has full version of Samsung pay, so they have put all the things that matter and also DEX is there.

This is surprising, DEX is there, and also it has a Samsung knocks for that security thing, and this one has the in-display fingerprint scanner. So, let's look at it. I didn't always enable on that's. There so looks like in display. Fingerprint scanner is working well, and you can enable this always on from the settings I'll.

Just let's do that. So here and under the hood again, this is new Samsung UI, so Samsung members, Facebook, app Netflix. These are the pre-installed apps guys. I did not install anything. So this is what you are having and yeah.

Obviously it's a Samsung phone you'll have uh the Samsung specific apps that are there on this one. So that's what it is and if you go under the hood over here, this is the typical Samsung. What do you say? One UI layout that you are seeing and if you go to what you say about the phone and if you go to software information, as you can see, a one UI version 2.5 and that's android 10 should get android what you say: 11 also soon. Hopefully, let's just go here and device scale. Let's see the storage.

How much is actually left says so out of that 128 gigabytes, guys about 103.7 gigabytes will be available. I haven't installed any apps yet so this is what it is and uh. If you go to the display this one uh does support that motion, smoothing as you can see, 120 hertz. So this does support that you can go back to the 60 hertz, but I will test this on that 120 hertz and see how it handles it. Uh it has that 4500 William hour battery so should be able to handle it uh, because even the note 20 ultra had it.

I was using it like that, so this is full HD, plus guys not quad HD, and it does make a difference in the UI. And what do you say when you're scrolling and stuff? So I will use it like that, and it's still just downloading stuff and uh. One thing I found uh disappointing is that there was no case in the box, so I don't know why they skipped that. But now, let's look at the camera on this one and see how it performs, so guys here is the camera and looking for more modes. It will be here.

This is a typical camera. UI you got to pull modes over here. Even live focus or live focus. Video is also there, so that's nice, and you have to hit save, so you can move between the modes like this from here. This is the regular mode guys.

Let me show you this is regular and this is ultra-wide. That's also 12. And we have a 3x. Actually, this is optical, zoom guys, and you can go digital zoom also up to 30 x. I believe yes, don't go till 30 it'll be bad, but hopefully like five to approximately 10x.

It should do the job and also has the single take. So those options are there and, as I've told you, you also have the pro mode over here, and even what do you say pro more in the video? So that's actually nice, let's go back to the regular mode, and this is the front facing camera.32 megapixels and you can go slightly wider. So that's nice and again here also we have a lot of modes. So let me do one thing: let me actually take some sample shots with this one so that you have a better idea regarding the camera, so these were shot with the rear facing camera and typical Samsung photographs, punchy colors that you're looking there's a regular. This is the 3x zoom, and this was that wide angle and some more samples that we shot and, as you can see, very vibrant colors.

These were taken in completely artificial lighting in my office and I feel that did a decent job and these were taken in completely artificial lighting. Again uh the skin tones are produced very well, and this is that portrait mode- and this was taken with the front facing camera, and here I enabled that portrait both mode so guys, that's it for now, for the unboxing and first look at the Samsung Galaxy s20 Fe.
