Hey guys Danny Boy here and today, I have the Samsung Galaxy S, 10 II, and the Google Pixel three AXL, and what I want to do in this video is discussed the batteries on these phones and kind of how they compare stacked against each other. We know that this is Samsung's entry-level galaxy device. This is Google's bigger version of the entry-level, their mid-range device, and you know when this goes on sale. It can get more closer and price to this one, but let's just go ahead and see how this stacks up and the battery department. So with the s10 II here you've got a thirty-one. A Hundred million power batteries and I would say: that's your average battery size.
You, it's not. You know, no, four thousand. It's not that kind of performance. It's kind of about the way I thought it would be. Furthermore, it's definitely not.
The best battery performance I've ever had like my one, plus seven Pro, that I'm using to film this video. It's not that kind of quality on the battery okay, but it's plenty good. You know my general setup is I: have the phone off charge for Oh from about nine o'clock and the morning till about midnight or one o'clock? Okay, so I guess that would be. You know: 13, maybe 14 hours there and you know when I go to put it back on charge at 90 for the yes 10 he here, I've been having around 40 to 50% battery left, okay and that's with medium usage. That's not heavy usage and that's not light usage.
It's just probably screen on time, uh, probably two to three hours and that range there. Okay, so very good! It's definitely put plenty of battery. You know if you're, even at forty percent at the end of the day, that's still good, at least compared to five years ago, but it's not fantastic. It's not like my one plus seven Pro, where worst case scenario I might be at sixty-five percent by the end of the day. It's definitely not that, but it's definitely not bad.
Now the Google Pixel 3a excel here it has a 3700 William hour battery, not granted. This phone is significantly bigger right, so they have more space to put a bigger battery in there for sure. Okay, now I would have to say that at the end of the day, same setup here, 9 a. m. to 12, you know midnight or 1 o'clock in the morning, I'm, usually with this phone anywhere from between 60 and 50 percent battery life, so I would say about 10 percent, better battery life here and obviously that's probably due to the fact that it has.
You know larger batteries that you know sorry I, don't know how there are different ways you could look at that, but so with the smaller Pixel 3a, you know it might be more on par with this one. Now this does have a higher PPI pixel density at 438 versus 402. Here that could factor in a little. We do have the Snapdragon 8055 here versus the six seven be here, so again that could factor n, but that's just been my personal experience, so I would definitely have to give the win here in this case, to the 3a Excel, but, like I'm saying this is the bigger version. If this was the 3a, they might be about a tie which in that case the one would go to Samsung because it has more bells and whistles higher quality display and whatnot.
So it's all about perspective on this one. As far as the Chargers in the box, okay, Samsung gives you a fast charging I. Guess you call it fast, 15 watt charger with this phone and that's okay, that's I would call that average good. You know it's not bad. Of course, I've been doing wireless charging with this phone because it does have the wireless charge capability, and you know so: I, don't I, don't think I've ever recorded used the cord to charge this phone, so I'm, not sure how that 15 watt would translate and to charging of Google.
On the other hand, with the three AXL here gives you an 18 watt charger, and that is more like it. You know that extra three watts I think it's gonna, make a difference, and you're going to experience, probably a faster charging time courted here now here's a big difference in this realm, and that's of course, that the three AXL does not feature wireless charging. We've got a plastic bag versus a glass back here, so you do sacrifice with the price that wireless charging capability for me. Personally, that's not a big deal. Wireless charging is definitely nice.
Okay, but it's for me: it's not a must-have. Okay, it's just like the water resistance. This phone has a destiny. This one doesn't it's another thing that they've compromised on to get the price down, but that's just the way it works. You know there has to be cuts in order to get the price now.
Okay, so we're pretty comparable here at the end of the day and the battery department, my guess is: if this was the regular 3a we'd be looking at pretty comparable battery performance. So definitely you know things to keep in mind. Are you're perhaps purchasing these phones and, of course the big feature is for a lot of people as the wireless charging that they want? So you would definitely want to go this route if that's something that is really important to, but guys anyway, I hope you enjoyed my video here, as always, if you're enjoying my videos be sure to subscribe to the channel and, of course, hitting that thumbs up button, there helps as well for now guys peace out.
