Hello, this is RIC KY, the YouTube tech guy, hey guys. So today we are bringing you our Galaxy Note, 9 battery life review. Now how we conducted this test was pretty simple. We did three days of heavy usage, and we picked the middle of those three days now, for the best day, it was half an hour more for the worst day. It was 15 minutes less, so it was about pretty much exactly where you can expect. If you are a heavy user to take brightness level was all the way up to before the red.
So if you slide your brightness all the way down up to the blue line, and before you get to the red section, that is where we had it: I'm, assuming that's at 80, 85 %, always on display Bluetooth. Everything was on throughout the entire day, and these were our results. So it is a great phone for heavy users. Getting 13 hours of usage throughout a day is really impressive for heavy usage, especially since we added a stipulation which we didn't have before in this battery life test that we do, and it still did very well. So eight hours of screen on time is what we got with a lot of putting it through.
So first of all that counts six hours of streaming. That is really impressive, and these were not saved videos. These were online videos, so this was downloading the entire time. That is really impressive. The fact that it got that far not only that, but we added a huge thing, and that is an hour of navigation, so that was huge, because an hour of navigation probably drained it the most, especially because I upped it and decided to do split-screen, so I had navigation and YouTube on the side, which did of course drained it faster, and yet it still got eight hours of screen on time.
With these settings we still did an hour of gaming as well. So again, we really wanted to put just a heavy usage emphasis on this, and, quite frankly, it did one of the best out there now I, don't know if it wouldn't have beaten the other eight, our contenders, which was the main 10 Pro and the one plus 6 after the tweaks. But that really is just a new way that I think we're going to go from now on. So we'll do this with a mate 20 pro as well as d1 plus 60, when it comes out, so we'll put it through those funds for these paces to really see if there can be better and which one is the best by the end of the year. Let me know what you guys think about this.
Do you guys think there should be something we should add to the battery life drainage and what kind of battery life are you getting in your smartphone at home? Right now, if you haven't known 9, and you're not getting this bad kind of battery life, I do recommend you check out our video on how to save battery life and make the note 9 faster, as well as the first things you should do, so you can really optimize the phone to get extreme battery life as such as this because I think as time goes on. This is only going to get better with software updates and tweaks. Let me know what you guys think in the comment section down below. Thank you guys for watching.
