So, let's start with the official promo video, this is the first, so there may be more coming before the event from Samsung telling us that we're going to get a lot of information surrounding the development of the phones, not just the note 20, but all the other hardware. That's coming as well confirmed by Samsung that the note 20 phones, the galaxy zed fold, 2 the tab, s7 and s7 plus Galaxy Buds live also known as the beans and, of course, the watch 3 all coming all confirmed by Samsung. In addition to that, though, it looks like we're going to get more of an entertainment style launch. Much like we saw apple do also recently OnePlus. A couple of other companies have done it in China as well, which shows us more of the background and the development that Samsung have gone through. So talking about nothing left to the imagination.

We also get leaked prices from shan on Twitter, who is very reliable with this sort of thing. So these are the European prices for the note 20 series. So we start with the Galaxy Note: 20 ultra 1349 euros that will include v80 or sales tax, usually about 20 in Europe, and this is kind of unsurprising as a price. It is the ultra after all, so you really are expecting it to be at or around the price of the s20 ultra. In fact, there are some hardware upgrades now moving on to the note 20 the base model and this one is kind of hard to swallow, 1099 euros for the 5g variant, including sales tax, and this is definitely on the expensive side.

When you look at the specs of this device- and I think a lot of you guys kind of agree, there is no doubt that the note 20 has a mid-range a series screen. It's a 60 hertz full HD panel flat as well. It also isn't, including the brand-new gorilla glass 7, that the note 20 ultra is bringing so really. This is a mid-range screen which is totally fine, but it's on a product that we now know is coming at the same price as the s20 plus, which is a flagship phone with a flagship screen. The phone also doesn't have micro, SD card support and the s pen isn't getting the latency upgrades of the note 20 ultra, so it is kind of hard to justify why this is the price it is.

I mean really if you're looking at a base model, then really the very best of the best isn't a massive factor for you. So what really is the case for this phone over, for example, a note 10 or a note, 10, plus a strangely high price, for what seems like a strangely mid-range phone in the note lineup. But I guess we will wait for the unpacked event to see if Samsung has anything up its sleeve and really what makes that phone unique as to some other phones in the Samsung range. According to shan's league, there will also be a 4g only variant of the base model 2 and that will come a little cheaper, just under a thousand euros at 999. The prices in shan's leak are unsurprising.

What is surprising is the note 20s specs sheet, but it looks like Samsung are focusing absolutely on its really high-end models. So the ultra versions of its phones, and also with this launch the foldable zed fold too, which I think we're seeing now Samsung, really concentrating on very high end and foldable devices in its flagship range. We also wait to see what exclusive access we all get to the stories from developers, designers and innovators inside Samsung's digital city. This has been promised by Samsung for the event, so we wait and see what extra stories, what behind the scenes access we actually get about.
