Samsung Galaxy Note 20 In 2021! (Still Worth Buying?) (Review)

Welcome back everyone: let's take a look at the Samsung Galaxy note 20 and see if this phone's still worth it in 2021. Now, obviously, this phone is still completely worth it. It's a great phone has a lot of characters, heuristics and everything, but I will tell you: I was a little underwhelmed with the note 10 and the note 20 was a pretty good upgrade from the note 10, but still it's limited in some areas and at that case I'll probably recommend you just to get a note 20 ultra. But again this is a very good phone for a lot of different things for sure. If you want to pick one of these things up, links will be down in the description you can get them from there and help support the channel. At the same time now, looking on the outside of the Samsung Galaxy note, 20, you can see the front still has that beautiful 6.7 inch super AMOLED panel, and this is a pretty good panel for sure you know, I didn't really have too many complaints about it. I think, obviously, at that time it wasn't like a crazy groundbreaking achievement, and I think you know from then you know it still looks good.

You know I don't have too many complaints about it, and I think that is probably the number one thing to keep in mind. Of course, it isn't like a crazy great display, even like a Samsung Galaxy note, 20 ultra, but it's still a pretty good display, and I kind of like it, especially at 750, which is what this phone is going for right now on Amazon. So that's a pretty decent price. Now you do have the USB type c port on the bottom, no headphone jack, no micro, SD card slot either, and that is another pretty big disadvantage of this phone. Like I mentioned when you buy a phone like this, you want it to be perfect at least perfect enough and this phone I'll be honest.

It really isn't like that. I mean, I think the note 10 plus is kind of a better phone in some areas. Considering now it is getting another extra hero, software support. But again what are you gonna? Do? There's nothing! You can really do at this point now. You do have the s pen also, which is another really cool thing.

Another characteristic of the whole entire note series, which is really awesome. Now on the back. You do have that plastic back, which was a very strange thing. They did again. I don't know why they did this, but they did and there's nothing we can do about it.

I guess a good thing about it or, like a thing, that's not really going to be that big of a deal is that most people are going to throw a case on their phone, so I don't think that's like a crazy big deal, but again I do think it's kind of annoying, and I think that is something to kind of keep in mind. Now you do have that triple camera setup on the back of this phone too, which we're going to hit on, so it has that 12, megapixel, wide angle, lens 64, megapixel, telephoto lens and then another 12, megapixel ultrawide sensor, and, like I mentioned, I mean having a phone like this, where you know you have this great of a camera with that triple camera setup, I mean this is a perfect thing about it, and it's definitely a pro more than it's a con. I mean this is not a caught at all. Now. The camera itself, I mean, has a lot of features, but one of the biggest things 8k capability- and, like I mentioned when you have a phone like this, I mean this one's going to be lasting for a very long amount of time when it comes down to it.

So I think you know, for all things considered. This is a very good phone for that type of capability, whatever you're going to do with it. In terms of a camera standpoint, it's easily going to be able to handle it, and I think that is again one of the biggest advantages for this specific device. You do have a 10 megapixel front facing camera which can do 4k at 60. So that's another really cool thing, and I do think, like I mentioned, if you're getting a phone like this perfect for a lot of people out there so in terms of a camera standpoint that covers it up there now hitting on the specific software variant of this phone again, I'm not a humongous.

You know a believer or like I'm, not a for no person who loves one UI, but I am happy with the way Samsung is going with their longevity of their software, so that it is something to keep in mind when you're getting a phone like this you're going to be getting pretty decent software versions on this specific device. Again, it's not perfect, but you're getting you know a long supported phone, and I think that is something to keep in mind, and it has some character to it. Now that doesn't mean this is like the best. You know performing phone in terms of the software standpoint, because the pixel series is supposed to take it up a notch too, but it's still pretty decent, and I would tell you know if you want a long supported phone. This is actually not that bad of a know deal in my opinion.

Now the battery life. On this specific phone, I mean it has a pretty big size, battery a 4 300 million power battery at that time, and if you get it used, it may have gone down a little, but that's a really decent sized battery. For you know, on the specific device and like I mentioned getting a phone like this with that type of capability with this big of a battery is a huge asset for sure. So I think that's another pretty big thing, and you know you mix in with one UI with the long supported software with this big size battery. I think it's a pretty decent deal in my opinion, so in terms of a battery standpoint, it covers it up there.

Now, let's go ahead and end it off with the performance. This device, as most of you know, has that Qualcomm snapdragon 865 g chipset, an outscore CPU and arena 650 GPU and eight gigs of ram. Now this phone only had one model on it. It was the eight gig ram option, so it didn't have like some 12 gigahertz or anything like that, only one model, and that was kind of a disadvantage for this specific phone. Like I mentioned when you get a phone like this, you want it to be as perfect as possible in this specific device.

It was great, but I think when you compare it to the note 20 ultra, that one was just that much better of a device, and I think that was something to definitely keep in mind. I think you know for the basic tasks of this specific phone perfectly fine you're going to get a perfect performing phone from this thing per the basic task of this device. When you take it up a notch, you do those mid-tier tasks. You know it may take a little of a toll, but I think for a majority of people out there you're going to have a perfect time with this specific device. In that standpoint as well, which is another thing to keep in mind as well.

So again, that's another pretty big thing about this phone. The only area you know where I would probably recommend you to kind of double check is the ram. You know I think eight gigs of ram on this phone is fine. But when you look at you know the next generation, you look at the note 20 ultras, and you look at even the past generation. With the note 10 plus I mean some of those models did go up to you know higher variance than 8 gigs, and I think that's something that's kind of strange.

You know you look at the s20 ultra. Those phones have some crazy specifications. I think this one is also pretty good, but it could use a little of an improvement and I think that's all I'm saying so. I think when it comes down to the performance standpoint, I think it's a very good performing phone. Obviously it's so not even a year old yet, but I wish it did take a little of a know, improvement when it came down to the performance when it came down to the ram specifically, I wish it had like a 12 gig of ram option, because this isn't a bad phone.

This isn't a cheap phone, but they really cheap down in some areas. Other than that, this one is a perfect performing phone and I think it kind of covers up there. So to kind of sum up this video and to answer the question: should you still buy a Samsung Galaxy note 20 in 2021? Well in the short answer? Yes, this one is still completely worth at times: 100, it's a very good phone. It's a very good performing phone there's just not that much to hate on it. You know.

I think this is a very good phone when it comes down to that. I don't think this phone is perfect, though I think you know before I even get to the non-perfect things I think some highlights. You know this phone feels very good in the hand it doesn't feel extremely cheap, even though it has a plastic back that s pen is something I really do like. That display is another huge thing that I do like about this phone as well. USB type-c is another big thing.

You know Samsung DEX, that is another amazing feature that this phone has that it seems to be very underrated for a lot of people out there. You also have wireless charging and reverse wireless charging, which is another huge flagship feature, and that in and of itself is something that, like once apple puts it in their iPhone. That's going to be crazy. The fact that Samsung already has it on their devices is something that is really cool, and I really do like that about this phone and there's a ton of other things with this phone, so you're getting a pretty long supported phone from this thing, which is great from a Samsung device, you're getting Samsung decks like I mentioned, which is perfect, you're getting a know s pen, that's another huge thing. You know this is a stylus that allows you to have a little more capability and I think that's a really cool thing for sure you also get you know: IB certification, the whole nine yards, and I think at the end of the day, this is a very good phone for the price tag.

I would just recommend that if you can afford it, I would recommend going up a notch, maybe to something like a Samsung Galaxy note, 10 ultra. That may be a better deal for. I know that's a better deal for a lot of people, but if you can afford it, if you can't afford it, this is still a very good phone for sure, so that essentially covers it up.
