Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus Review + Unboxing!

Hey guys its crystal and today is a special day because I have with me the note, 10, plus, and I thought I would tell you guys what I think about it and share my personal experience with it, but before we do that we got it on boxes. So let's do that together. The box in front of it has a blue pen, so I'm, guessing that this is the blue, colored one but I, don't know I hope I get the one with a lot of rainbows on it, as I've been seeing in the pictures here it is oh no. This is definitely the holographic line wow. This is very rainbow. We got three cameras on the back and one in the front.

I see those classic 8?kg headphones and here earbuds, and here is the brick. So this is actually a 25 watt charger and what gets even crazier is that the phone can support up to 45 watts, so you'll get even extra fast charging little USB see spa it's after, not the Nelson here, probably just another adapter, so updates this thing that I didn't know what it was a second ago. It's actually a pen tip or placer kit yeah. Alright, it got through all the steps of setting up, and here it is ready to go man. This display Samsung, displays I, always say this they're, always very vibrant and punchy, and this is just like that.

Its nice AMOLED six point eight inch display I, believe and look the little camera on the top. The front-facing camera is a little dot feature crystal here, and I know. Things are a little confusing this year, because there are two different notes that you can pick up the ten and the ten plus and even though they do share a lot of similarities here are the main differences. The biggest difference is obviously the screen size with the note 10 plus you get a bigger screen and high resolution 6.8 inches on the note, 10, plus and 6.3, on the regular note 10 now, because of the hole punch and the lack of bezels is kind of interesting with a smaller note tent because is essentially keeping the same screen size as last year's note 9, but with a much smaller body. You do, of course, take a resolution.

Hit, but if you wanted all of those note features mainly the S Pen in a smaller device, it's pretty cool that you get that option now. Processor wise are the same, but when it comes to performance, you get a crazy 12 gigs of ram on the note, 10, plus and 8 gigs on the note 10 you do have the option to bump up to 512 gives a storage on the note 10, plus with the ability to expand via micros, which you can't do. On the smaller note, 10 battery wise, there is a pretty substantial difference from 4300 William hours to 3500, on the smaller note, 10 and while I haven't spent that much time. With this smaller note, 10 that note 10 plus, has been amazing with battery life, giving me well over a day of use. But what is cool with the smaller note 10 is that you get the same 45 watt, fast charging and reverse wireless charging, which is awesome when it comes to the cameras they're pretty identical between the two, because they both share that same 10, megapixel, front-facing, selfie camera and that triple camera setup on the back.

But the note 10 plus does add an extra sensor that Samsung is calling depth vision, which is supposed to give you better depth in photos and gives you the ability to do things like scan 3d objects in real life, which is kind of crazy. Of course. The thing that makes this phone the note is the s-pen. So let's take a look at it. Shall we? Oh, it's blue.

Just like the box, that is a beautiful little pen. I always wondered. Do these things like change a lot over the years. They look exactly the same. Oh, except this.

You know slightly designed differently on the bottom. Doesn't have the Samsung logo overall, very similar S pen's what happens if I put the purple on here? I won't. Do that just in case feels great I'm, a lefty though, so it's this driver. For my left hand, this is nice. This is really nice.

Oh, this is an eight-hour. Doodle I drew a mustache on my face, but I circle my face. This is so cool. It follows your face. They are doodle.

This is just so great it just tracks it everywhere. I go. Can I still draw while I'm recording Wow now I have a scribble face, so AR doodle is really fun? Probably one of my favorite features with the S Pen and speaking of the S Pen. That's really one of the main reasons that you'd be interested in a note, so as far as what you can do with the s-pen since we're talking about AR doodle and the camera app Samsung added a lot more control over your camera in the camera, app with all these air actions for your S Pen, and we already saw the ability to take a photo with a click of a button. But now you can do a lot more by just waving your pen in the air and holding on the button.

You can swap cameras go to the different modes. You can do things like zoom in and out with the camera by just drawing a circle in the air. Personally, I, don't know how often I'm going to use that it's a little silly making you wave your hand in the air like you're out there on the Disney Channel, really the most useful feature. Out of all that, again is the ability to snap a photo of your pen, and it isn't a reason to upgrade if you're coming from a note 9, but it is something to consider if you're looking for something more or different from the Galaxy S 10. You of course have all your other s-pen features like being able to draw.

Take a quick note. Probably my favorite is just taking the pen out and drawing on a blank screen, but there's so much more that you can do and going death with. So if you want to see how far you can really push that s-pen and some tips and tricks to Jonathan Casey has a great video on that I will link down below now going back to the color of this phone I know, Samsung has been getting a really tough time with the note 10, because there really isn't many huge differences to set it. Apart from previous notes and I know, it's silly, but I feel like the color alone, really makes it stand out from even the Galaxy S 10, because it's such a unique, color and I feel like Samsung is perfect with that every year, just bringing us unique colors- and this is definitely the unique one. Yet this beautiful are aglow, so it is absolutely a premium looking phone, but unfortunately, with that comes to premium pricing, and if you want something to protect your phone but still show off that beautiful or aglow color I want to give a shout-out to today's sponsor sign will have some really great options.

They have a huge collection for both the note, 10 and note 10, plus I myself have been using and loving the liquid crystal cases for the note 10, because, of course, he's still got to appreciate all those beautiful colors and, if you're wondering what this little guy is on this case over here. This is the ultra Hybrid s, with a little kickstand on the bottom, which is a nice alternative to a clear case option. So you get this little kickstand. So you can prop it up and enjoy watching videos on this beautiful display. Now the note 10 plus especially, is a huge phone and the more and more I've used it I realize it's not the easiest phone to hold.

So these cases are a great option not only to add extra grip, but to just make it easier to hold, so there are tons of great case options from sign, and you can check out the full collection for the note, 10 and no 10 plus linked below. So no doubt the note 10 is a beautiful phone, but what about that hole? Punch on the s10? We saw it on the top right and now is right smack in the middle and I feel like with anything just kind of get used to it after using it for a while, but it was kind of less obtrusive on the top right and I kind of preferred it. That way. With the note 10 again, it is kind of in the way I wouldn't say it's a deal-breaker though, but let's talk about the main reason that is even there. The front-facing camera, like I, said before both the note, 10 and no 10 plus have that same 10, megapixel, selfie, camera and selfies.

Look pretty good, not too different from what we saw on the S 10 and s 10, plus, or even the note 9, just that same airbrush, looking edited selfie. What is pretty cool, though, is that we get a wide-angle option in just one camera, so it's easier to fit more people in the shot always appreciate that live focus. Photos have also improved slightly, but the coolest new feature here is live focus video. This does apply to the rear camera as well. But, let's take a look at the front-facing live focused video first, so this is a live focus, video test with a lot going on.

In the background you can see all these colors all of this texture going on there's trees or outside and honestly I feel, like he's doing a pretty good job for one I'm. Seeing this perfect, like I, can see the edge mistakes. My hair is kind of weird here, some of its blurred, some of It's not overall, it's a cool bonus feature, but I feel like it's too much in its early stages. Still we're just like life focused photos it'll get better over time, but for now I'm not gonna, be using it for anything serious like a YouTube video, maybe an Instagram story or something, but that's about it. It is worth noting with live, focus video.

It does limit you to 1080p on both the front and rear facing camera, but with the front facing camera, when it's not in life focus video mode, you can get full 4k, and now I'm testing some 4k front-facing video, seeing how that does. Look like a bright background, and I'm kind of walking in the shade right now also curious to see how the mic quality is and stabilization I guess we'll see. But it's looking pretty good. Like the background. It's doing a pretty good job at the thing nice and blue not overexposed.

Well, the sun's hitting me wonder how that looks. I don't know I feel like it's shaky, but I guess we'll see, jumping to the rear camera, starting with live, focus, video, here's what that looks like, and it seems to be doing a better job than the front-facing camera. This is just the stock setting. This is what they call big circle. It's a little more exaggerated overall.

So if I lift my hands up, it's definitely going to struggle more with that. This is color point, keeps me in color, and everything else in the back is black and white, and it seems to be doing a better job than the last one. Finally, we have glitch, which is kind of a more retro VHS. Looking stranger things feeling background, and it looks really cool and definitely overall doing a better job than the front-facing camera, which I feel like is partially due to that depth sensor that we get here now without live focus, video, here's just regular 4k video on the rear camera, looking pretty good and there's actually a new zoom in mic feature on here, where, if you zoom in to your subject, it'll enhance the microphone and isolate your subject. I'm going to pretty close to the camera right now, but if I go back and gradually zoom, it close, but I'm really far back that.

If you see now it'll gradually, but I guess we'll see, will you play your backup sound we like to towards apart, walk back and let's see how it sounds, so it works. But it's not that great and when you zoom in like that, you also lose video quality. So yeah overall I feel like people won't really be using this feature. Now when it comes to photos with a triple camera system, we have that same 12, megapixel sensor with variable aperture, the 12 megapixel telephoto lens and 16 megapixels. Ultra-wide and overall photos look pretty similar to what we saw with the s10 as 10-plus not too different.

Looking pretty good I will say: I did take a lot of photos and extreme lighting conditions that were heavily backlit and outdoors and overall it seems like no 10. No 10 plus is doing a better job at keeping it overall balanced dynamic range seems to be slightly better and don't get me wrong. Pictures look clear and sharp, but as usual, Samsung Photos tend to be a little over processed, but they do look good straight out of the camera. Live focus seems to be hit or miss. I did get some great.

Looking live, focus photos, but also some not-so-great ones as well. Having an ultra-wide rear camera is awesome, but definitely keep it to landscape shots, not for people, or you'll. Look pretty silly honestly, just like the phone itself, there's so many features packed into the camera and something that stood out to me was the scene. Optimizer I didn't realize at first, but it's really easy to toggle on and off. So a lot of my photos from the beginning of my testing.

Had it offed, and after I turned it on I realized, it really does make a difference and I know the scene. Optimizer isn't really anything new, but I feel like it's more intense now, so you'll really notice it with like food pictures, landscape photos, it'll, add more light in places that need it and more saturation and color. So it definitely adds to that whole Samsung process. Look but I feel like for most people, they'll enjoy having it on overall, pretty happy with the camera, nothing tremendously different, but it's got everything you could ask for. One big difference, though, coming from the previous note 9 or any galaxy phone really is the power button is now on the left side.

It has been taking me some time to get used to it, but once you do, the benefit is: is that there's no big Street button anymore, and you still can access Bixby through the power button, but you can also completely get rid of it and launch any app that you want through there. So Samsung is listening when you feature exclusive to only the note 10 for now is that you can access X from any PC or Mac there's a dedicated app now for Windows and Mac. So just one cable you can plug it into any computer or laptop, and for me, it's not super useful, but for the people who do use it a lot, it's cool because you don't need to lug around a whole extra monitor. So the note 10 and no 10 plus are pretty expensive phones and I feel like for people who want that full-blown Note experience. You probably should go for the note 10 plus, but it is nice having that smaller option feature wise aside from not having an IT Hurst display.

It's got pretty much everything you could ask for in a phone. It's not a super necessary upgrade from a note, 9 or even a reason to sell your s10. But if you're coming from anything before that- and you really love Samsung phones, you really enjoy this phone. If you really love your headphone jack, this might not be the phone for you, but with a smartphone world completely headed that way. There's a ton of great options now I actually covered a really great pair in my back-to-school guide, which you can check out over here.

But thank you guys so much for watching. Don't forget to subscribe, and I'll see you later.
