Samsung Galaxy J6 vs. Honor 7X - What's worth your money? By mobiscrub

Hey guys Karen biryani from OB scrub here and V are going to be comparing the Samsung Galaxy j6 with the honor 7x. Both the devices cost nearly the same, and so the question is which one is worth your money. You could also argue that the 7x is a seven-month-old phone, while the j6 is a more recent launch, but the 7x just got the Android Oreo update and that changes things a little. Let's quickly take a look at the specs, while I will be talking about them one by one. Both the devices are running Android 8 Oreo both have an outscore processor. There are two variants: the j6 1 variant in the 7x, the primary camera in the galaxy J 6 is a single lens setup, while you've got a dual camera set up in the 7x huge difference between the display size and the resolution of both the devices you've got more battery in the 7x and both are not water-resistant.

You've got the 7x slightly heavier and that's that, let's start with what's common between them, and then we can focus on things that are different because, despite having similar price points, they're actually very different phones. Both the devices are running Android, 8 Oreo, despite the fact that 7x was launched in December last year, but it did get a speedy Android. Oreo updates both are dual SIM devices, with the option of expanding storage by 256 gigs by slotting in a micros card. However, the j6 lets you use two SIM cards simultaneously, along with the micros card inserted. While the 7x is a hybrid slot, which means you can either have two SIM cards or one SIM card and one micros card.

But quite honestly, I find 64 gigs more than sufficient anyway, and a hybrid slot is good enough. Both phones have a micro, USB port with no fast charging, and neither of the devices are waterproof or water-resistant and don't support NFC as well, while they have different primary camera. Setups. The secondary cameras are 8, megapixel shooters, but with different apertures and the galaxy j6 has a front-facing LED flash as well, and that's pretty much about it rest. Everything about these two devices is entirely different, starting with the build quality.

The 7x has a glass front, but with an aluminum body giving it a metallic look in an unibody shell, while the galaxy j6 is a poly carbonate, unibody shell, the aluminum gives a metallic finish, which feels more solid sturdy, but with a more reflective back while the polycarbonate on the galaxy j6 feels like plastic, which has a very matte finished effect and a soft texture. So I guess here it's more of a personal preference and there's no good or bad here. Both are free from fingerprint, smudges or cracks, and you could actually go with either. It really depends on what you like more than the other. Another thing to keep in mind is the ergonomics.

The galaxy Jacek is a much more convenient size, leading to a much easier use and allows for a simpler one hand, use it's also very lightweight because of its size, and it's very pocket friendly. However, the honor 7x is just a tad bit heavier going to a larger size and 10% higher battery capacity than the J 6, but it does make the honor 7x heavier a bit difficult to use, but just one hand and larger size does make it an ergonomic challenge. But again for those who, like big screens, that's the phone to go with coming to the display. There is a massive difference. The galaxy j6 offers a 5.6 inch display with a resolution of 720 by 1480 pixels, while d7x has a 5.9 3 inch display for the killer resolution of 1080 by 2160 pixels. This difference creates a massive difference in pixel density of both the phones.

This also means that you cannot play full HD videos on the galaxy j6. So if you're on YouTube you go into quality, you won't get the option of streaming in full HD and if you were to go into you know the honor 7x, because it is a full HD display. You could definitely go into quality, and you could change that to 1080p, because it does support full HD videos and going by simple mathematics. The galaxy j6 should hence not be as sharp as the honor 7x, but really it's its a Super AMOLED display, so the colors are really bright, vivid, high contrast, very deep, blacks and again, it's also very bright because it's Super AMOLED. So if you really look at the display without comparing it to the display of the honor, 7x, usually wouldn't know the difference, and you will still enjoy the Super AMOLED screen, but the IPS LCD in the 7 X is also very good.

I mean the colors are really nice. They're natural. There might not be as saturated in high contrast as the galaxy J 6, but still a brilliant screen, and I'm sure you could see that and the difference in the sharpness is I think also quite apparent. But again, if you were to look at the devices individually, you really wouldn't be able to tell that difference. It's only when you compare then you'd know so.

I would prefer the honor 7x display over the galaxy j6 display. One thing I'd like to highlight is that the galaxy J 6 also comes with an outdoor mode. That ensures that you get great visibility even in bright sunlight. So if your outdoor very often J 6 would be more suitable. Also, the galaxy J 6 does not have an auto brightness option, while the owner 7x does, and that is a huge plus for me.

Both have an outscore processor, but that's normal, because all phones in this category now have that what matters is the clock, speed and the chipset. The J 6 has a 1.6 gigahertz Enos 7 8 7 0 processor, while the 7x has a faster 2.3, 6 gigahertz, high silicon 6 59. The best way to really compare is to look at the performance benchmark scores, and you will see that the honors, 7 X scores are better than the J 6 as expected. While the difference is not a lot but in everyday use, you will be able to see that difference very slightly and let's just roughly quickly see which one's faster, ok, we will just clear out all apps and then let's just launch these three apps starting with Facebook, and we'll see which one loads faster. Ok, so there we go.

Facebook, ok, 7, X loaded, slightly faster, alright, let's go to Instagram, and then we will see which one's faster. Ok. So there we go. Okay, that one loaded, the 7x loaded faster and let's also look at how quickly games load to their home screens and okay, so, okay, so j6 was very fraction of a second faster. But let's see which one comes quicker to the window.

Okay, well, the owners have the honor 7x, or he was definitely the winner here. The next big difference is the camera, the picture quality and the video capabilities of the devices. The honor 7x features a dual camera setup, one camera with 16 megapixel shooter, an aperture of f-22 and the second one being a 2 megapixel shooter, just to get that depth effect. While the galaxy j6 features a single lens setup with one 13 megapixel sensor with an aperture of f11 9 and the F 1.9 is actually better because it allows more light to enter than the F 2.0 in the honor 7x. But let's take a look at the samples and decide starting with some outdoor shots.

The honor 7x definitely has much more color. The contrast is better look at the green. You can look at the difference and see how vibrant the pictures are. It also captures more light. As you can see, it's clear it's at the same time, and even the dynamic range is better on the honor 7x.

Then here are some indoor shots again, you can look at the difference in the lighting and look at the black of the honor 7x versus that in the j6. You will see the difference when it comes to low-light, photography, I think the honor 7x does a great job handling the light as well. The light and pix elation in terms of j6 is really haywire, but the other 7x does add a bit of this yellow tinge in its low-light photos that the j6 does not, but I, think the clarity is much more in the honor 7x. Despite low light when it comes to software I think it's a matter of personal preference. There is really no good or bad or better or worse here both are running Android 8 audio and have their own redesigned interface, a version of it with honors emu version, 8 and Samsung experience.9 on the galaxy j6, if you're already used to the Samsung touch wiz experience, then the new Samsung experience would feel very familiar. But if you're more in sync with phones like Xiaomi is Gianni and the likes, then the honors 7x experience would look more similar and in terms of how smooth the interface and the use and the interaction is I guess both are quite smooth.

The honor 7x does feel slightly more snappy and lighter in terms of usability, but nothing major as a part of honor 7, X's Oreo update. You also get some smart power, optimization modes during gaming to improve either the gaming performance or the device's performance under game suite. You can alternate between various gaming modes power, saving mode, smart mode, depending on whether you want more performance or more battery or somewhere in between, and you can also enable uninterrupted gaming where, in all notifications, except for incoming calls and alarms, would be hidden on the galaxy j6. Furthermore, you have something similar in the game launcher which pretty much does this for games, but it's not as comprehensive as it is in the owner 7x. Let's also talk about the battery life on paper, the 7x seems to have or 3340 milliampere or battery, while the galaxy j6 has a 3,000, milliampere or battery.

So essentially the 7x must have a longer lasting battery. However, you must keep in mind that the 7x has a more power hungry processor and has to do more to push all those pixels on to a full HD display, while the J 6 has a mediocre processor and a 720p display which does not consume a lot of battery. So if you really think about it, the extra battery capacity of 7x is not really a plus, but it definitely ensures that you get good battery to wrap this up. Given the price, I'd opt for the honor 7x without hesitation, simply because the device offers a full HD display with more power, packed performance and a much better dual lens camera setup. That gives me more capability in terms of picture taking and the galaxy j6 at that price point just does not offer any and that's a dealbreaker for me.
