Samsung Galaxy J2 Prime vs Galaxy J2 - Speed Test! By Tech Trinkets

Hey guys I want to do a quick comparison here between the Samsung, Galaxy, J, 2 Prime and the galaxy j2, which I did actually get a couple of months ago, but I've got to review it, so we can review it in this video. It looks like a very nice phone in gold and basically, what you can do comparison here see how the j2 prime does compare with the old j2. Is it an upgrade as its downgrade we're going to find out so straight away from that display things aren't looking too good, or we do have a boot up. Sound made me quiver, that is nice and the old j2 is faster here. What's all about, so you know, I'd expect the GE to crime to be faster, but nevertheless we are going to have a look here at the performance. I think we only get two G Wi-Fi with the phones here, so I'll just quickly show you that whoops, you can see two G.

Both of them are fully up-to-date, and we're just going to go into some stuff here, and this display you can see. We are still running the old kind of Touch ID on the j2, which may lend to an advantage here for the j2 Prime, and it doesn't like some of these apps are a little faster here on the left. In fact, all of them are so that, so it's quite nice I think the actual spec of the j2 prime is the MediaTek mt6752, or that means I, don't really know, but you can see it says a certain improvement here over the j2 in terms of the responsiveness for most things, camera yeah. So what is this actually running? Let's have a look. It looks like lollipop, so and 5.1.1, and I don't think we have any software updates. This is the problem with Samsung doesn't sell data slower in phones, we're going to have a look at the game here we don't.

We have one on both of them because they don't have much storage, so we see which one loads faster. You get some light. E7 2 o mp2 in the one versus a male t 720, and this one and so files like the J 2 Prime, has loaded faster here, which is what I was expecting so solid victory here for the J 2 Prime when it comes to the day-to-day performance, I'm going to have a look at the web browsing, so we'll start off with good old Virgo, not George Virgo go yeah. You can see again very nice fast here on the left, so those who are looking to upgrade from the j2 will certainly notice the speed increase. Although I have a feeling.

This display on the right is an AMOLED display, and it completely blows away. The display on the j2 Prime makes no sense whatsoever to regress to a TFT, and we look at that. In fact, let's go back. Look at that! Look at it Samsung. What are you doing? I mean seriously.

AMOLED is the way forward, but I think you can see the actual raw performance on the j2 Prime seems pretty good here compared to the old one. So look at the multitasking I think we have actually 1/2 gigs of RAM I was mistaken earlier, so not the most ram in the j2 prime. You can see they do struggle a little, but the j2 prime does seem to recover here, and that is the main thing so look if they hold it in memory. The game, no, is the answer, not that you're going to be buying these for gaming anyway. These are just like basic.

You know, phones here, for those who don't want to spend too much money, but I mean you can summarize this here with a solid improvement when it comes to. You know the actual ad, the performance here like the speed of the day-to-day, but there have definitely been some weird decisions by Samsung when it comes to the display. So I look at the speed here, the Wi-Fi not expecting too much different, but it is worth looking at. Oh, my god, look at just look at the display difference there. It just makes no sense to me.

I think that was the other thing which I didn't like about the galaxy grand Prime. They used the old technology on that as well. So you can see the Wi-Fi is hovering about the same here less than the old boy, which gets a very good upload about to say so yeah you can see a little better there, but worse for the download, but I think if you're looking to upgrade to the g2 Prime, you are going to be getting some benefit, so we see get front-facing flash here. You get the new kind of user interface, which has a lot of stuff like from grace UX, which is by holding down on stuff for the force touch kind of functionality, which is nice. You know you also getting slightly bigger screen.

It looks like as well I think the design is a bit more a premium as well. The light edges I think they have made feel a bit better than the cheap plastic on the j2. It's just the screen. Really, you know I can't escape it. I, don't know why they have changed the display to be worse but yeah.
