Samsung Galaxy A8 vs Galaxy J7 Pro - Speed Test! By Tech Trinkets

Hey guys I wanted to compare here the galaxy a8 plus with the j7 Pro, which came out in late 2017, very affordable and I, set here from Samsung, which I think actually compares quite good to the new a8 in terms of the processor, which I think is roughly the same. So we're going to see if it's worth keeping the j7 Pro or something up here for the eight plus a plus does come with slightly more RAM full waterproofing. Don't forget any waterproofing on the j7 series. We did do a test with the j5, and it didn't survive as I. Remember, so you know, keep it away from water, but I think in terms of the actual display quality here, you're not going to find too much difference. Actually, obviously, you do have your borderless kind design here with the a8 plus, which is very nice, but, as I said, look at the quality here of the j7 is pretty much comparable.

You know in terms of the colors etc. , which is amazing, given you know how it works for debilities I think also. You are getting obviously the type C with the a8 plus and the old charging that, with the J series and also I, don't mean you get to front-facing selfie things as well. So there are some compromises here and there I think the camera is probably gonna, be about the same on both for them kind of mid-range affair here, but the back does feel a lot more premium with the series. So let's just have a look and see how you do compared here, we're going to open up a few out, and then we're going to see.

You know the speed, so I think both of them are shut down. As you can see in terms of the background, apps, let's go so as I said, I think the processor is roughly the same here, but obviously age does have I think a little more RAM or so I think you're getting 64 gigs internal storage. So that is quite nice. If you have a lot to store here, and I think you can see straightaway here, the a8 is proving to be a little snappier with most things. So we've got some stuff here, so I can just do this one again, just for fairness and the scope.

Whoops, try it again: butterfingers yeah, so very comparable. There, nice performance from the j7 Pro, even like in early 2018. You can see keeping up here with a much more expensive phone. Oh, yeah I forgot to mention. Obviously, fingerprint scanners are different with these two getting one on the front with the old Samsung and one on the back with the a8.

So this one takes too long to load, can't be bothered to wait so a little of snap here with the a8. As you can see again here, which is nice, you also get more options. I've noticed as well with the think game launcher functionality again here and finally, a simple one: I did press that then, so I even saw the icon move. So quite conclusive. Here you can see I think the a8 giving you the edge when it comes to the performance in terms of the apps opening.

Some look at the RAM management, which I think you can see already we're getting some reloads here on the j7 Pro. What I think it's doing quite well actually now. No big issues, as you can see, I do think for these around should be the baseline minimum here, even if the know, mid-range kind of phones really doesn't cost that much, and it gives you such better overall performance and I. Don't think there's much difference here. You know in terms of the multitasking you can see both of them doing very good.

So I, definitely still, you know, recommend the j7 Pro. If you're looking for like a mid-range kind of handset here, although I would say one of the biggest downside of the j7 Pro, is you don't get any fast charging and that feels really out of date? When you know you come in to charge a device it'll take hours compared to the series which will try to very fast, but generally you now still don't understand what the point of the series is. Since we've had premium, you know S series and n series, but nevertheless it is a nice handset and I will be doing some other videos, so I hope you found this one helpful Cheers.
