Samsung Galaxy A8 2018 vs OnePlus 5T Comparison Review

We took two of the most affordable yet premium smartphones in the market today and compare them to see which one is better. The first one is one plus 50 released back in December with wide public availability starting January 2018. It is known for offering the best-in-class hardware at an affordable price. The other one is a galaxy a8 2018 Samsung's premium mid-range handset. That inherits a lot from the Galaxy S8, but in a more affordable price point with both having the same suggested retail price as 26,000 990 pesos. It just made sense to compare the two new smartphones' hi guys.

This is Kim a FPGA tech, and today we're going to do a side-by-side comparison of the Samsung Galaxy a8 2018 and the 1 + 5 t between the 1 + 5 t in the galaxy a8. The former is a bigger device at around 6 inches of the galaxy. A8 is only five two point: six inches, despite the obvious size difference the 1, + 5, TS, surprisingly thinner and lighter compared to the galaxy a8. Both devices have an all metal unibody design with an ear bezel as display the galaxy a8 has a glossy finish due to the glass coating on the front and the back of the 1 + 5 t is more polished with a matte finish. Both look really nice and well-made in terms of design.

It will boil down to personal preference. The galaxy a8 has a few bonuses up its sleeve, like dual SIM, with a dedicated micro, SD card slot and an all-important ip68 dust and water assistance. On the other hand, the 1 + 5 t sorely lacks water resistance and no micros card expansion. As mentioned earlier, the 1 + 5 g has a bigger display at 6 inches with an 18 by 9 aspect ratio. This place, composed of an optic AMOLED with full HD plus resolution and protected by Gorilla Glass 5 for the galaxy a8.

The 5.6 inch Super AMOLED display has a similar, Full HD Plus resolution, with slightly higher pixel count. Due to the 18 point, five by nine screen aspect ratio. It is also protected by and identified gorilla glass panel. Both displays, look nice and sharp. Have great color and saturation and bright enough, even in the outdoors, with an almost similar display technology, the 1 + 5 t takes the edge due to the bigger display size and the gorilla glass 5 protection.

The galaxy a8 is powered by a fairly powerful Samsung Enos 78852 courtship, which is composed of a dual-core cortex a7 t3 processor, running at 2.2, gigahertz, max clock, speed and a hex core, a 53 processor running at 1.6 gigahertz. This is paired with a Malachi 71, GPU and 4 gigabytes of RAM. On the other hand, the 1 + 5 C is powered by the latest Snapdragon a35 outscore chip running at the max clock, speed of 2.45 gigahertz, this paired with an Arena 540 GPU with 6 gigabytes of RAM, the 1 + 5 t pretty much trumps. The galaxy a8 in the hardware department- and this is evident in the benchmark scores our an tutu benchmark- showed the Snapdragon a35 scoring more than twice that of the Enos 78 85, the 1 + 5 t also has more RAM and internal storage. The 1 plus 50 is the advantage in this department in terms of operating system.

Both devices run an android new God 7.1, with some minor customizations. As for the camera, the galaxy a8 has a different approach than most premium smartphones on the market. The main rear camera is a single 16 megapixel sensor with F 1.7 m / Char and face detection autofocus and a single LED flash with the 1 + 5 g. You get a dual camera system at the back. The primary one is the 16 megapixel F 1.7, with dual LED flash and the second one is a 20 megapixel F 1.7. Both cameras combine two identical images: to produce better photos, especially in low-light situations.

The 1 + 5 t can also shoot 4k at 30fps or 60fps at 1080p, while the galaxy a8 can only do 1080p at 30fps. The front camera is another story altogether. The galaxy a8 comes with two front-facing cameras. The primary camera is a 16 megapixel sensor, with f 1.9 aperture in a standard field of view for selfies. The second camera has an 8 megapixel sensor with f 1.9 and a wide-angle field of view for Groovy's. On the other hand, the 1 + 5 TS a single front facing camera with 16 megapixel sensor and f 2.0 aperture 1 + 5 t wins. If we talk about the main shooter, but the galaxy a8 makes it up in a front-facing camera, we'll call it a tie for this one.

The galaxy a8 comes with a 3000 William hour battery, while the 1 + 5 t is a little bigger at 3300 William hours. Both phones have fast charging capabilities in our PC battery mark test. The galaxy a8 got a score of 12 hours flat, while the 1 + 5 t got 11 hours and 32 minutes with a video loop test. The 1 + 5 t lasted longer at 21 hours and 20 minutes compared to the 18 hours in 30 minutes for the galaxy a8. The results are too close to call, but we're calling it for the 1 + 5 d, okay.

So let's review this course. So far, the galaxy a8 got points in the design, while the 1 + 5 to get points in the hardware and battery both devices are tied in the display and camera Department. Let's also look at some other features: Bluetooth 5.0 for both same with NFC GPS and fingerprint reader card slot for the a8 type-c charging port for both and, most importantly, the same price point. Overall, the 1 + 5 t edged out the galaxy a8 2018, but at least a point. So what do you guys think?
