Samsung Galaxy A70 Review: Decent Upgrades, Unnecessary Premium

Samsung has been getting pretty aggressive lately with his galaxy, a series offerings and with our review of the galaxy a50 last time, I was actually pretty impressed with the features that it offered under a thousand ringgit. So the only complaint that I had about the 850 is that I wish it could be a little faster and probably a slightly larger display, not that it's not big enough, but I do wish that there is a larger display of it and that's why we have the galaxy a70 today. But this is not just a mere upgrade of the galaxy a50, but it's a lot of upgrades in fact. Well, you still get triple cameras on the back and a really high resolution.32 megapixels, selfie camera on the front, but what's really upgraded, is on the internals now, first, there's a larger 6.7 inch display and, of course, internal wise. It is now powered by a snapdragon, 675 processors, that's eight gigabytes of ram and 120 gigabytes of storage and a super huge 4500 William hour battery that supports Samsung's new 25 watt fast charging feature. So is this phone worth the premium over? The galaxy a50 at 2000 ringgit, let's find out in our galaxy a70 review, although the a70 has a larger footprint than the a50, it surprisingly isn't difficult to handle.

Aesthetically the design language and build is similar to the a50, with a plastic frame and a reflective back that Samsung calls it elastic. The good stuffs from the 850 are present here, which includes a triplet sim tray, USB-C, headphone jack and an in-screen fingerprint reader. Samsung is clearly showing its advantage on displays with the a70, which, unlike other smartphones, that maintains a 2160 by 1080 resolution for mid-range phones with huge displays. It has a 2400 by 1080 resolution on the 6.7 inch display, which means you get better pixel density horizontally and a cinematic 20x9 aspect ratio. Hence, I enjoy watching videos on it, though I wished it had stereo speakers to complete the experience.

The a70 software is similar to the a50 with Samsung's one UI, based on android pi. The experience is more responsive than the latter. All thanks to the faster processor I haven't encountered. Starters, like we all, are familiar with Samsung's oldest devices, however, as a premium mid-range device, I just can't understand why the a70 didn't include Samsung pay as part of its software feature like it did back on last year's galaxy a9, while everyday performance is generally good. The first graphics performance isn't great when it comes to playing graphics.

Heavy games like asphalt 9. However, if you mainly play mobile games, it works fine when you lower the graphics, setting spotting a triple camera setup. The a70's main wide angle, camera is a 32 megapixel, f 1.7 lens and is joined by an 8, megapixel, f, 2.2, 12, millimeter, ultra-wide angle, camera and a 5 megapixel f, 2.2 depth camera the selfie shooter is a 22 megapixel f2 lens. During my trip to Taipei. Two weeks ago, the a7d has been a great casual shooter, as I used to take photos in the area of siemens thing at evening.

Noise levels are minimal and details are preserved. Well, all thanks to the large aperture, the camera software is able to use a lower ISO sensitivity automatically, despite being able to take selfies with a staggering 32 megapixel resolution. The front camera is just mediocre when a chance to overexpose backgrounds and not being able to focus my face properly at times with a 4 500 William hour battery, I easily get 2 days of juice, with moderate usage and still get more than a day. Even when my Netflix and Facebook session increases the included 25 watt charger will easily reveal 50 of juice in 30 minutes whenever I'm in a rush, and it's something that I can't get on. My s10, plus best of all d870 can be fast charged by any chargers that support Qualcomm's, quick charge or USB power delivery.

So there's no need to worry about carrying proprietary cables or charges around the a7d cell. Reception is good, and I get pretty decent 4g speeds on it. The phone can also connect to 5ghz Wi-Fi networks, but sadly doesn't support that frequency when using mobile hotspot answer our initial question. The extra premium that Samsung is charging on the galaxy 70 over the 850 is definitely justifiable, but once you look past that Samsung bash and the huge display, the galaxy 70 seems to be an overpriced device when you consider that there are better spec devices like the Xiaomi mi 9 and honor 20 at the 2000 ringgit price tag render some dealers already selling like around 1500 ringgits over at sharpie Lazada. But the thing is that it is still officially priced at 1999 ringgit, so it is still officially overpriced, and one thing Samsung could really do well, is to reduce the price of this device to make it more enticing for the user.

But if you don't mind on that, if you just want a huge display and a big battery inside go for it, the galaxy 70 is definitely the obvious choice for you. So that's all for the review of the galaxy 70. Let me know your thoughts or, if you have any other recommendations within the 2000 ringgit price tag in the comments section down below give us a thumbs up and share this video to your friends and family, who wants to know more about the galaxy s70 and, of course, our other videos be sure to subscribe to kl gadget TV as we release videos every week.
