Ah, finally, a brand-new phone to replace my aging galaxy s5, hey everyone. Welcome to another unboxing video on onyx. Today we're going to take a look at the new Samsung Galaxy a52 5g. This is the awesome black variant. It just came out here in Canada, and I thought it would be the perfect upgrade for my Samsung Galaxy s5, which I am recording with right now. The a525g has some awesome, specs and features that support all my mobile activities, and that makes it the perfect replacement.

The regular price of this phone in Canada is 659.99. I also got Samsung care plus for two years, which cost an extra 119 dollars. So in total, that's 880 dollars, including tax. So now, let's unbox this phone wow. So here it is the new Samsung Galaxy a52 5g.

It has a 6.5 inch, inf initio display with the camera and built-in speakers somewhere on the top four cameras on the back, this one being 64 megapixels with optical image, stabilization, which makes your photos and video stable. What else is in the box here? We have the sim ejection tool. Here is the quick start guide, and I believe that's it here. We have a fast charging, brick and the charging cable. Oh, there we go all right back to the main event.

This phone feels great to the touch, but I'll be getting a case anyway, so that won't be for long on. The bottom is another speaker: the USB type-c charging input a microphone and hey look a headphone jack. I wonder why Samsung's flagship phones don't have them see. The thing I like about Samsung is that they make many models with different features that give them a unique identity of their own on the top. You have another microphone and the sim and micro SD card tray micro, SD support is a really important feature for me as I need that extra storage and then on the right side, you have the volume keys and the power button.

Let's boot it up. That's a new vibration. Welcome. I have to use my sim card in order to set it up I'll, be right back. We can just pop that in their okay, there we go okay, oh ah, come on.

I have to restart it because it detected the sim card. Okay, I'll, be right back again. Okay, there we go now. We can start it getting your phone ready copy, apps and data. Yes, I am transferring all my files and data from my old s5 uh.

Next, installing smart switch. I am transferring from a galaxy device. Yes agree, all right, we're going to connect with the cable, because it is more stable. Okay. So before we start the transfer, I'm going to show you what my s5 looks like right now.

So here's my s5- I don't know if I've ever shown you my s5 on camera before but as you can see, its condition isn't great. The screen protector is shattered and the leather for my uh s view cover is ripping apart by the way I am currently recording on a Galaxy S8, because I don't want to mess around with my new phone. Yet I already have smart switch installed on the s5, so let's open it up and start the transfer process. Okay, the transfer process is starting now check your phone. We're going to do that later: okay, oh hey! There! We go all right, we're almost done just a few more seconds, all right, we're all done all right.

Let's close that, I can disconnect the cable now uh, organizing your transfer data. I guess we're going to wait a little longer. We can do a little comparison between these two phones to make the time pass by look at how vivid this infinity, o display is compared to my s5, it's much larger too. I also like this new layout looks super modern and fresh. The a525g also has a 120hz refresh rate.

Look at that. It's super smooth. Oh, it's installing the applications. Now I wonder what YouTube is like on this a52. Let's play a video, my channel trailer whoa, the sound quality is perfect.

Alright, it's ready to go now. It looks great. So yes, this Samsung Galaxy, a52 5g will be my new personal phone. I can't wait to play around with if it's time for another new chapter of onyx, higher quality videos, but, more importantly, more storage, so I can do more. Also, before I go, let's pay a little tribute to my s5 in the times that I own this phone. It is where this channel saw an explosion in growth and making videos on it was a lot of fun. It helped me reach 1000 subscribers. Almost a year ago now, we've had many adventures together and connected with many communities, but times change and technology comes and goes. If you ask what I'm going to do with my s5 after I'm, going to factory reset it and put it away in storage, it will be my backup phone when needed.

It was originally going to be my Motorola motor g5, but for some reason its battery is draining faster than normal. Now I may use it as a prop in future videos, but for now that's it for this video.
