REDMI NOTE 9 PRO 5G/MI 10i: BETTER THAN YOUR POCO X3? (ENGLISH FULL REVIEW)

So hey, so you did a lot of your research. You watched a ton of YouTube videos. You read a lot of articles, and you're finally decided on which mid-range phone you're going to get and most likely you're ending up with a Poco x3 and that's an absolutely great choice. However, before you push through with your purchase, I urge you to watch this whole video, because maybe just maybe I'll be able to change your mind once again, because the Redmi Note 9 pro 5g is one heck of a mid-range device. What is up everyone welcome back to my channel. My name is Janice creator.

Finney attack that today we're going to be talking about the Redmi Note 9 pro 5g, and I'm going to be telling you why this deserves to be at the top of your choices for mid-range phones as usual. Here's a quick unboxing video, so you guys would have an idea what's included in the package, but basically you get a free frosted, transparent case, a 33 watt charger and an USB type-c cable. Then, of course you have the phone itself. Mine came in the rose gold, slash, mint, green gradient colorway at the bottom. It has a headphone jack, an USB type-c port, a microphone and a down firing speaker on the right.

You have a side mounted fingerprint scanner on top of the power button and the volume rockers on the left side, you have a hybrid dual sim card slot, which means you can opt to use a single sim and a micro SD card. If you prefer that, of course, at the top you'll find the IR blaster, which has become a staple for Xiaomi phones as well as a noise-cancelling microphone for calls. Now for this variant, the back panel isn't glossy at all. It has the same frosted glass feel of the mi 10 pro, which somehow gives you a false sense that you're holding a premium device but don't be fooled as similar to all the other Redmi Note 9 models in 2020. This only has a plastic frame.

Lastly, it has a quad camera setup, highlighted by the 108 megapixel Samsung ISO cell hm2 sensor. Now, if you want to go straight to the camera, discussion skip to this part right here, all right so software-wise, you have to know that the Redmi Note 10 pro 5g is a china exclusive phone sure, there's a very close global version equivalent, but the Xiaomi mi 20 lite doesn't have the 108 megapixel camera, but in India we now have the Xiaomi mi 10i, which should be considered the global version, but it's not available in other parts of the world anyway, as to be expected, this is running on a china ROM version, which means three things: one there's no pre-installed google services, two there are limited options for languages and three there are pre-installed Chinese bloatware, but don't worry we're going to address some of those things first off. The fact that this doesn't have Google services is not really a big deal because you can easily install this from the app store now once you've done, that just install your keyboard app and the Redmi Note 9 pro 5g will feel just like a regular android phone now as to the pre-installed Chinese, apps they're all pretty much removable. So you just need to uninstall all of them and for those which can't be uninstalled but have persistent Chinese notifications. Here's a simple way to turn off the notifications, simply go to apps management and just turn off the notifications.

For that specific app and there you have it problem-solve now. After doing all that, you can now enjoy your Redmi Note 9 pro 5g, as if it's a global version. There is one thing that you do have to worry about, and that is the signal bands. So you really have to check first, whether the signal bands on the Redmi Note 9 pro 5g, will work in your country. Now going back to the software, the Redmi Note 9 pro 5g has all the special features of the flagship me 10 pro, namely game, turbo video toolbox, tap, plus floating window second space kit, space, mini lab and light mode.

It has the mini 12's new control center with all the modern, looking icons, which adds to its sophisticated look now browsing for its user interface was a smooth experience, mainly due to its snapdragon 750g chipset and speaking of its chipset. I was able to get 345 4463 an tutu, benchmark points on the Redmi Note 9 pro 5g, and it seems like the snapdragon 750g will be 2021's new standard, mid-range chipset, replacing the snapdragon 720 g, which usually gets around 270 000 an tutu benchmark points and mind you. There is a definite increase in terms of performance, and you'll appreciate that increase more when you're playing games, but the best part of having a snapdragon 750g chipset is that you can now get your hands on a 5g phone at a lower price point. Now that's something to be really happy about, especially for those who are excited to transition from 4g to 5g all right. Next up.

Let's talk display equipped with a 6.7 inch, full HD IPS LCD panel with an awesome 120hz refresh rate, the Redmi Note 9 pro 5g sure feels like it's already a winner. The display is pretty good for an LCD panel. It's not gonna, be as good-looking as the one on the Xiaomi, me 10 t and most definitely doesn't come close to an AMOLED, but for its price and competition. It's really fine. Now for good measure.

Here's the note 9 pro 5g side by side with the realm x7 equipped with an AMOLED display you'll, enjoy viewing videos on this from YouTube and especially from Netflix, as this already has a wide vine level, 1 certification, so rejoice for those who value their HD Netflix on their mobile devices. This is something that I need to address specifically now. I saw an absurd review where the guy said that the Redmi Note 9 pro 5g, doesn't have a real 120 hertz refresh rate because of his observation, that it was a little laggy, and then he concluded that this only has a 100hz display, and on top of that, he added that not all 120hz displays are the same. What the that is truly disappointing, coming from a channel with over a million subscribers, because the amount of misinformation can spread like wildfire because of his reach. So I want to correct that and just show you guys that, through a simple check, you can already see that this is running a real 120 hertz refresh rate.

It's not fake, 120 hertz, all 130 hertz displays are the same. They refresh 120 times now. If you do notice some lag, that is not because of the refresh rate but more of the frames per second, which is different altogether with the refresh rate that is so basic that I feel like someone with a million subscribers should already know this. Anyway. Let's move on to the next topic, which is the camera, so the Redmi Note 9 pro 5g is equipped with a 108 megapixel Samsung ISO cell hm2 sensor now this might lead you to believe that this is an improved version of the Samsung ISO cell AMX on the Xiaomi mi 10 pro, but the photos actually say otherwise.

I feel like the image processing on the mi.10 pro is still way better than the note 9 pro 5g, but you guys be the judge as I'll be including a Google Drive link in the description box for the full resolution. Samples now don't get me wrong. The 108 megapixel shooter on the Redmi Note 9 pro 5g is actually quite capable, especially during daylight, but it falls short during night or low light scenarios. There is a night mode, but it barely helps in improving the image. Now it comes with most of the flagship Xiaomi phone's camera features like clone vlog and dual modes as well as tons of photo and video filters.

If you're feeling artistic now, overall, the photos come out sharp and vibrant, and it has decent dynamic range as well as for video. It can go up to 4k 30 frames per second, but the image stabilization feature is only available at 1080p 30 frames per. Second, the videos do look sharp and crisp with proper lighting, but very shaky if you're moving while taking a video, you can always use Google's image stabilization feature, but it's an extra step, so it would have been nice to have image stabilization at 4k instead, but overall, aside from the shaky videos, I do love the note9 pro 5g's video quality. As for gaming, this is where you'll truly see the better performance of the snapdragon 750g over the older snapdragon 720g. For example, gang shin impact can now run on medium graphical settings smoothly as compared to phones like the Redmi Note, 9s and the Poco x3 now for mobile legends, it's nice to see that it already has HFR as well as ultra graphical settings, so for the hardcore ml players, you'll, absolutely love playing on this phone.

Now the Redmi Note 9 pro 5g does heat up a little on the back panel, but it's not really bothersome. It's just your typical heating problems when you're playing for prolonged rs. So overall, the Redmi Note 9 pro 5g is a great mid-range phone. If you plan to use it for extensive gaming, alright, so let's talk battery now equipped with a 4820 William or battery capacity. The Redmi Note 9 pro 5g can last you for a full day, with still some energy left before you charge at nighttime now take note.

This is with regular usage, browsing social media and playing some games and on Wi-Fi connection now, your experience will highly vary depending on your usage. Now, as for charging, I was able to top it off from 10 percent to 100 percent in just under an hour, 280 dollars or roughly about 13 500 pesos. That is the price that I paid for this base model. Redmi Note 9 pro 5g that I have right here. This has a six gigabyte ram, 128 gigabyte memory and the brand-new snapdragon 750 g, a 108 megapixel camera, a 120 hertz IPS lcd, expandable memory, headphone jack and best of all 5g network connectivity.

What else can you ask for a mid-range device? Sure the vocal x3 gives you tons of value as well, but it doesn't have the 5g connectivity, making the Redmi Note 9 pro 5g the better option. If you really are looking forward to 5g connectivity on your phone now, some of you might be skeptical about this phone, because this is a china ROM version, but trust me once you install the Google services on this. This will feel like a normal global version of an android device. So really, there is only one factor that should stop you from buying the Redmi Note 9 pro 5g, and that is whether the signal bands on this phone work in your country. Now.

That is something you need to work out for yourself, but here in the Philippines it does work perfectly on smart network. Now, if all the stars align for you, then what are you waiting for? Go ahead and get yourself your own Redmi Note, 9 pro 5g and if you're in India it's called the Xiaomi mi 10i. If you already own the Poco x3, should you even consider the Redmi Note 9 pro 5g? The answer to that is, it depends on if you really need the 5g connectivity, then sure jump to the Redmi Note 9 pro 5g, but if you're satisfied with your network or if your country doesn't really fully support, 5g connectivity, yet there's really no point in jumping to the Redmi Note 9 pro 5g. Of course the 108 megapixel camera sounds tempting, but it really isn't all that it's a good quality camera, but your Poco x3 can already take good quality photos. However, if you're a Redmi Note, 9 pro or Redmi Note 9s owner, you might want to consider this if you get a good trade-in value for your phone, but if you're going to lose a lot of money, better wait for more alternatives than the Redmi Note 9 pro 5g, because it is only the start of 2021.

We will have a lot more devices coming out, especially from Xiaomi. By this point you already know: Xiaomi is already making better phones than the Redmi Note 9 pro 5g. So if you can wait good for you, but if you really need a phone right now, this is the phone that I can highly recommend for the mid-range segment anyway, before we truly end this video, just a quick shout out to be bought from New Zealand. This shout out request was made by Ryan Armando from UK. You guys are both front liners.

I hope you're doing really well uh you're doing a great job for the whole of humanity, and if you enjoyed this video and found it helpful, please give it a thumbs up subscribe to my channel and hit that bell button.
