Redmi Note 10S Review- Is it Really Value for Money?

Hello friends welcome to technique. This is normal here and in this video we're going to do a detailed review of the Redmi Note.10 s so Redmi Note.10 s is the latest budget smartphone announced in India for a price of around 14 triple nine, and this is a device which is priced below the fifteen thousand rupees, and you also have the Redmi Note 10 priced uh, less than fifteen thousand. Then we have the Redmi Note 10 pro and pro max priced about 15 000 rupees. Now how good is the Redmi Note? 10 is that's what we're going to talk about in this detailed review before getting started with the detailed review? If this is your first time on this channel do hit that red subscribe button and also hit the bell icon to get notified of all the videos we publish. So let's begin so uh Redmi Note: 10 s comes with an AMOLED display, and this has the hello g95 OCTA core processor uh. It comes with six gigabyte ram, and you also get a 64 megapixel quad camera setup, a 13 megapixel selfie camera, a 5000 my capacity battery and 33 volts fast charging.

So that's the hardware aspect of the Redmi Note 10 s. So let's get started with the detail aspects. First up: let's have a look at the design and build quality. Now, if you look at the design of the Redmi Note 10, as you can see that there isn't anything different compared to the Redmi Note, 10 or the Redmi Note 10 pro, except for the build quality that we'll talk about in a while, but otherwise it's a good-looking device out there. You can see the matte finish and the gradient pattern on the back panel, which adds to the beauty of the device.

Now it's kind of compact device, it's not a very heavy device, nor it's a bulky device. It's quite compact to use now the front panel has a punch, hole, selfie camera, the display quality looks good. The bezels are kind of grayish, so the most part the device looks pretty good, and even now you can see that the power button and the integrated fingerprint scanner looks pretty good. There is volume, locker keys and, as usual, you get an IA blaster dual uh speakers, so those are things which are perfect on this device, so uh in terms of design aspect. We feel this is kind of definitely good uh, similar to the Redmi Note 10 and the Redmi Note 10 pro.

So in terms of design aspect, we feel the Redmi Note.10 is definitely a good-looking device out there. It's quite similar to the Redmi Note 10 and the note 10 pro now in terms of build quality. This is a polycarbonate back, unlike the Redmi Note, 10 pro and pro max, you don't get a glass, it's a polycarbonate material, and it's quite similar to the Redmi Note 10, I would say again: the material quality is good actually, but we would have liked a glass panel at this price segment. But again this is not a bad quality but uh. This is quite okay in terms of build quality, and it doesn't scratch up easily.

So compared to the plastic which you see on budget smartphones, this is actually quite good quality plastic and there is a gradient pattern. So uh you do get a decent, build quality here and design as well. So in terms of design and build quality, we feel it's kind of good. We don't have anything to complain here. Probably a glass bead could have given a slightly more premium.

Look that's what Xiaomi is known for, but that doesn't come up on this device now next step. Let's talk about the display. Now this device comes with a full HD AMOLED display. Now, with the standard 60hz refresh rate. Now you get the Redmi Note 10, as well as with the same display and 60 hertz refresh it.

While if you spend a bit more additionally, you get the 120 hertz, refresh rate on the Redmi Note 10 pro and the Redmi Note 10 pro max now talking about the display quality, it's a good display. Actually, it's very responsive display. The touch response feels quite smooth. The colors are vivid, vibrant and overall, quality of the display is definitely good so below 15, 000 price segments and the same old display brings in good clarity, good detailing, as well as good color reproduction as well. Now you also get additional modes in the display which feels pretty good, and you can actually play with the display uh temperature, as well as the colors or the saturation levels, can be adjusted in the settings.

So overall, we feel the display quality is definitely good now moving on to the software. So this is one area where there is a different uh. Uh events compared to the Redmi Note 10, as well as the Redmi Note 10 pro now, this device comes with mini 12.5 out of the box. Now mini 12.5 is one of those UI which has drastically changed in terms of performance, even though there is no major visual difference in terms of the looks, but in terms of features being offered, the ads have been completely removed on the mini 12.5, you get the flexibility of removing all the pre-installed apps. So that's something which uh Xiaomi has given.

Here. You can even uninstall up uh the basic or the uh, the stock apps or the company apps uh, although that functionality is not yet implemented here, that will be probably implemented by an update, but mini 12.5 is definitely good. The performance has been improved. Ads have been removed from all the system maps, so it's a much cleaner UI and you, and you get the flexibility of removing all the apps which are bundled with the device. So in a way we feel mini.12.5 is one of those features which have been which we have been waiting on. The mini.

Many people have complained about the ads and things, but this UI is very, very clean and does not feature any ad. So that's one good thing about the mini 12.5 now talking about the performance, so this device comes with the hello g95 OCTA core processor. Now hello g95 is a 4g enabled chipset. There is no 5g support. Just like the other note 10 series.

Now the performance is definitely good. We all know that it's a really powerful chipset, especially for gamers. Now day-to-day performance is perfect. It's a good, responsive, UI and for gamers this is definitely a good device for gaming. But again you have to consider that there is a lot of heating happening almost like 46 47 degrees.

We got while the gaming we have done a detailed gaming review. You can check out that video, so hello chipsets are the g series. Chipsets are definitely known for a bit of heating, and this also happens with the Redmi Note 10 s, so you do get the higher graphic options in games like PUBG, but then you do have to leave with a bit of heating happening with extreme gaming. Now talking about the call quality uh, the device has a pretty good call quality. We tried there is dual stereo speakers as well, which is again pretty good.

The sound output is perfect, and you do get 3.5 memory, jack and USB type c port. Now the network average also looks good. Now you do get a fingerprint scanner on the power button again. The fingerprint scanner is quite similar to what we saw on the Redmi Note.10 note, 10 pro, it's very responsive, fingerprint scanner, even the face unlock, also looks quite okay. Now that's the other aspect, so it looks pretty good in terms of other features being offered now moving on to the camera, so we get a 64 megapixel, quad camera setup now uh, the sensor 64 megapixels is shows for multiple vendors.

So there is no particular vendor mentioned here, and you do get an 8 megapixel ultra-wide 2, megapixel depth and 2 megapixels uh macro, and you get a 13 megapixel selfie camera as well. Now we have done a detailed camera review of this device and found it to be quite disappointing. Uh camera on the Redmi Note 10 s now, Redmi devices are known for quite good cameras, uh in almost all segments. Even if you go with the budget devices below the 10 000, there has been some basic quality offered. Now the Redmi Note 10s is one of those devices which disappointed us now, uh the daylight.

Shots came out quite okay, but again the detailing was not that great again. Uh ultra-wide looked quite decent only considering that this is 15k price segment. We expected a bit more, a better performance from Redmi uh and even the macros were kind of okay. The low light was definitely disappointing, one especially the night mode which didn't give any sort of good quality in the photo so uh the low light experience was definitely disappointing. On the Redmi Note 10s now the selfie cameras are quite okay, although we feel there is room for improvement.

So in terms of camera aspect, we feel this was kind of disappointing experience. Uh. These are things which can be improved via software updates, and we expect Xiaomi to fix these updates, but otherwise, if you're looking for a camera-centric smartphone, we wouldn't suggest this device, because it's not the best camera out there now. Finally, moving on to the battery life, now, this device comes with a 5000 my capacity battery, and you do get a decent battery life because it's a large capacity battery, and you do get 33 watt charger, which can charge your device in around 72 minutes, which is quite good, and the battery performance looks quite okay uh. Although we felt it was not as good as the Redmi Note 10 pro in our testing, but again it's quite similar uh, not not a major concern here, but still battery performance is quite okay on this device.

So that is a detailed review of the Redmi Note 10 s now. Should you buy this device now? This is a good offering uh between the Redmi Note 10 and the Redmi Note 10 pro or the pro max. But having looked at this device and having used the device for almost like two and a half weeks, we feel it's a decent offering, if not the best out there from Xiaomi. It has a good uh design and build quality. Decent uh, uh build quality as well.

Now the display is good, it's enabled display uh mini 12.5 is crisp and clean. I know it's being offered. Performance is good, but cameras are kind of disappointing and battery life is above average. So should you buy it, we would say. If you have the budget of around 15 to 16 000, we would suggest you to go with the Redmi Note 10 pro, which offers much better value.

You get 120 hertz refreshed, then you get a better camera and uh, even though the processor might not be as powerful as the hello g95, but it's still a good device in terms of overall experience, so uh this device has a couple of downsides. One is the cameras, that's one of the major issue and then the heating issue with gaming. That's also another issue. Otherwise, this is definitely a decent offering, but my suggestion would be to go with the Redmi Note 10 pro, which offers much better value than the Redmi Note 10s. So that is a detailed review of the Redmi Note.10 hope you enjoyed watching this video do hit that like button and also hit the red subscribe button for more videos, thanks for watching hope to see in our next video have a great day.
