Redmi Note 10 Pro Max vs Realme 8 Pro Charging Test

Hey guys It’s Sagar and in this video we are going to do a charging speed test between the Redmi Note 10 Pro max and the Realme 8 Pro. Now the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max comes with a 33 watt charger, just like the regular Redmi Note 10 Pro. And although the Realme 8 Pro comes with a 65 watt charger in the box, it can charge at a maximum speed of 50 watts. The Redmi Note 10 Pro Max comes with a 5020mAh battery and Realme 8 Pro comes with a 4500mAh battery. So Realme gets a smaller battery and a faster charger, so even before beginning this test, we know that the Realme 8 Pro is going to win in this competition. But how long does it really take to charge let’s find out.

So before beginning this test, I did run down the battery completely, on both these phones. And then plugged both of them into their respective fast chargers at the same time. So both of them started from 0%. In the first 5 minutes, Redmi Note 10 Pro Max went from 0 to 5% and the Realme 8 Pro went from 0 to 17%. So we already see that Realme’s fast charger is well ahead.

After 10 minuets, Note 10 Pro Max was at 10% so it was charging at about 1% per minute. And the Realme 8 Pro was cruising ahead at 28%. At the 15 minute mark, Redmi was at 14% and Realme was at 40% of its battery capacity. And in just 20 minutes the super dart charger had the Realme 8 Pro at 50%, and the 33 watt charger on the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max has juiced it up to 20%. So for the first 20 minutes, Realme 8 Pro seems to be charging at more than double the speed of the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max.

After 25 minutes, Redmi was at 26% and Realme was at 59%. At the half an hour mark, Redmi has reached 32%, so it is still going at about a percent per minute, while the Realme has raced to 69%. After 40 minutes, Redmi was at 42% and Realme had reached 87%. Now because I am trying to find out the fastest time that these phones can charge in, I have turned off the optimise charging option on both these phone. If I haven’t, both of them would take much longer to go from 80- to 100%.

After 45 minutes, Redmi was at 48% and Realme was in the last stretch at 94%. It took the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max 46 minutes and 35 seconds to get from 0 to 50%. And at the 51 minute and 40 second mark, Realme 8 Pro had made it to 100%. And the Note 10 Pro Max was just at 54% by that time. If you are always in a hurry and you want your phone to juice up very fast, go with the Realme 8 Pro.

The Super dart charger that comes with it, will take it from 0 to 100% in just 51 minutes. I kept the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max connected, to see how long it will take to reach 100%. I checked at 75 minute mark, and it was at 78%, at the 90 minute mark it was at 90% and it took another 20 minutes for it to go form here to 100%. So the 33 watt charger on the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max took 110 minutes, which is just under 2 hours, to take it from 0 to 100%. Now if both these phones has a similar battery, say 4500mAh, Redmi Note 10 Pro would have got there by the 90 minuite mark, which is not too bad.

But the Realme 8 Pro would have still beaten it by a good 40 minutes. Here is a chart showing the charging speed of both the phones.50 Watt Realme charger kept a 2 percent per minute pace throughout the test and Redmi was also steady at about 1 percent per minute. It slows down a bit more towards the final 10 percent. So there you have it, Realme 8 Pro completely beats the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max when it comes to the charging speed.
