Redmi K30 Pro Zoom vs Galaxy S20 Ultra - SPEED TEST

We've got the red Nikkei 30 pro zoom Edition up against the galaxy s 20 ultra. Both phones are running the snapdragon, 865 I know in some markets the galaxy phone will be running an X in us, but I've got the Snapdragon version here. So we have a real head-to-head between these two phones and chipsets. The K 30 pro just launches and boots up faster, but obviously that's not a big deal. These are definitely two different phones in terms of the price, the pretty much the cheapest and most expensive snapdragon 865 phones out right now. So we're going to just download a couple of games from the respective app stores we have pub Jeep and also Hwang jeongyeon, which is the Chinese version of I.

Guess a 5x5 game we'll see who loads the two games first, and actually it was the K 30 pro in three minutes. The galaxy s 20 ultra, as you can see here, doesn't show the game until it's fully loaded and there you go four minutes 31 on the s20 ultra, so a win for the K 30 Pro, the K 30 prosumer edition has an optical fingerprint sensor, whereas the s 20 ultra uses Samsung's ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. Samsung do say that the ultrasonic version is a little more secure than the optical readers and over the years the optical sensors have become way quicker work than they were before. You can see for yourself who the winner is here: I, don't really think there is a winner I think they both offer pretty much the same experience both of these phones apparently giving us the latest Wi-Fi technologies. So we will test the Wi-Fi speeds side by side and also individually as well.

I tested the Wi-Fi speeds on a number of occasions on the phones respectively, and you can see the results here. The K 30 Pro gets the highest single result for a download speed, but on average the s20 ultra is more consistent. We're going to go into May 2, which is a bit like Adobe Photoshop, and we're going to make a collage with some pictures and videos and see how long it takes for each phone to download them, render them and save them. We've got a couple of pictures that were taken individually on each of the phones, so the file sizes may be different because they have different megapixel cameras and different bit rates, probably in video and photos. So it gives you an idea of which phone is going to be the easiest to use, and now that is rendering, and we can see the s20 ultra pulling ahead, and it finished just a few seconds ahead of the Que 30 Pro when it comes to face unlocking on the phones.

You would expect the s20 ultra to win this one. Of course, it has that selfie camera embedded in the display- and it's right there to take a photo of your face to unlock the phone. The K 30 Pro has the selfie camera in the pop-up, and so it does take a little longer, but the difference isn't huge, and I'm actually quite pleased with how quick you can use face, unlocking even with that pop-up. It's not the most elegant solution to put it in a pop-up and have it come up every time, but it does give you that amazing bezel its display, we're going to render a 5-minute-long, 4k video in both of the phones I'm, going to import it into Kinney master and then export it with the highest settings possible. So that's a 4k resolution at 24 frames, a second with the highest nitrate, and we'll see which snapdragon 865 manages to export it.

First on this occasion, and the s20 ultra was a little quicker, 30 seconds quicker over that time than the K 30 pro. So in my speed tests, I have moved away a little from the side-by-side app opening times, because I really don't think it's that relevant. Whether one phone opens an app a MIDI second quicker than another, there's so many variables in terms of adverts screens or just animations on the phones. These phones are so incredibly powerful that honestly, it's not even a relevant test, but have a look at these bigger or larger games with longer opening screens and see which phone opens them. First, it's currently tuned in to the K 30 Pro.

These are big games like pub, G and other big games that have long opening screens and as we go through to the next game, you can just see they are literally side by side and opening that game. The K 30 Pro did beat out the s 20 ultra, only just on a couple of occasions. I just want to test the RAM to see if any of the apps are shut down. If they're aggressively closed, and you can see both open on all the phones and then moving on to some previous apps that we opened. This is Taobao a shopping app still open on both of the phones I'm moving on to yet another app.

This is mate 1, which is a food ordering app. It was still open and even though the galaxy s 20 alt does have 12 gigabytes of RAM to the K 30 pros.8 8 is definitely enough for this test. It's a side by side of the camera, apps slowed down, and you can see the K 30 Pro was quicker than the s 20 ultra in finding focus on the object. Still waiting for my update on the S 20 ultra we're focusing should get much quicker, I'm, just recording a 10-second video in 4k and then going straight into the gallery app and opening up, seeing if any is slow and they both have it right there ready to play. So that's a good thing to very, even phones, I, would say throughout the test, even though the prices are definitely not even, but I have to say, the s20 ultra has that 120 Hertz display, which is a big thing over the K 30 Pro, but other than that you'll agree with me.

The phones are really close, even though the price is definitely not subscribe for all the latest tech news and videos. That's it for now, but I'll see you in the next one.
