Redmi 9A Unboxing & First impressions | Budget king!?

Hey guys what's up, this is Philipp's future welcome back to the channel, and today I'm going to unbox the Redmi 9?m. It's a budget smartphone that costs around 120 dollars, which is about 12 000 Kenyan shillings in the Kenyan market. As you can see, that's a pretty budget price for a phone, so stick around hit that subscribe button and let's get the Redmi 9a out of the box to see what we get before. I start I'd like to give a huge thank you to Mr Kenya for sending the phone for unboxing and review purposes. They sell Xiaomi products, including this one. So if you want to grab one there's a link below the like button to their website, you get a typical smartphone box and this one has a representation of the phone on the top part.

This one is the granite, gray, color version, but you can get a sky blue or ocean green. If you don't like the black one, so let's unwrap it and open the box to see what we get inside pulling the top part you're presented with the Redmi 9a in a plastic wrap, and it's a 51 by the way. So, let's place it aside and see what accessories we get with it below that we get an envelope with a sim ejector tool on the back and inside that there are manuals and quick start guides. The other thing you get is a charging cable, which is a micro us bone. I wish it had USB.

But for that price point you don't expect much. The last thing in the box is the charging brick. It's 10 watts, power, brick and that's everything you get in the box now to the phone. It's it, one, as I said, weighs 196 grams, which makes it feel a little chunkier, but with an advantage, I'm saying that because it houses a five thousand million power battery, which is huge. As far as battery life is concerned, it's 9 millimeter, thick 164.9, millimeters long and 77.1 millimeters wide. The board is made out of plastic, which makes it slightly durable than glass in case it falls, and this is one of the sacrifices they had to make to trim down that price tag.

As the phone is powering up, let's go through its specs. This version has 2 gigs of ram plus 32 gigabytes of internal storage, although there is a model with 3, gigs or 6 gigs of ram with up to 128 gigabytes of storage. You are not limited to that by the way, because that storage can be expandable via micros. It's powered by an outscore MediaTek, hello g25, and it comes with mini 12.0.8 on top of android 10, which is a generation older, yes, but beats most of the smartphone manufacturers out there. As far as software is concerned, on the front, there is that giant display that comes in at 6.53 inches at 720 by 1600 pixels, it's a huge display which is better for media consumption and talking about media YouTube videos maxes out at 720p, which is still sharp for the most part. The front has a notched display that houses the selfie camera above that there is an earpiece and finally, a huge scene at the bottom, with pretty average bezels around the display on the top.

There is a headphone jack that is rare to find one in a 2021 smartphone. On the left side, you get the sim card tray that holds up to two sim cards and a SD card at a time on the right side, there's a power button and the volume brokers, and that's it. On the bottom side, you get a single firing speaker alongside a micro, USB port and that's it the back of the phone houses, a single 13 megapixel camera, with an aperture of f 2.2 and a focal length of 28 millimeters that should give out some wide shots. Other features include HDR capability, AI, and it can record videos up to 1080p at 30 and 60 fps below the main camera. There is a flash and that's it no other lenses on this one.

The front camera is a 5 megapixel shooter for your selfies and video calls. Photos are usable, comes out detailed and that's because of image. Processing that happens behind the scenes, and I'm saying this because from the viewfinder, the images don't look that great, but once you hit that shutter button you'll be blown not by a lot, but it's a good camera for that price. It's now time to put my main sim card to the Redmi 9a, so I can test it out for some time before the full review drops. So if you have any questions, leave them in the comments, and I'll try to answer them in my full review.

The software is based on mini 12, the latest from Xiaomi and in a nutshell, it's a feature packed software that you're not going to miss any essential features, keeping in mind it's a budget phone. If you want to grab one right now check for the links in the description, that's it for this video. I hope you enjoyed watching if you did drop a like to the video subscribe to the channel and turn on notifications. So you won't miss the review video when it comes out and any of my future videos anyway, until next time, guys goodbye and most of all stay safe. You.
