Realme 7 Pro Camera Review

What's up guys, Jason here back at it again with another video and for today we will be doing a dedicated camera review of the Realme 7 pro. So why a camera review when the selling point of the realm 7 pro is it's charging well, for one thing, Mary already did a charging test if you want to see that go to her channel and link down below, and it won't make sense if I did another charging test and another thing, a lot of you guys are asking if there is an upgrade of the cameras of the realm 7 pro well, for one thing, of course, like I said in my earlier video, they changed the shape of the camera module and without further ado, let's get on with the video again. Let me just give you a quick rundown of the camera specs of the realm 7 pro for its primary camera. It has a second generation Sony imx682 main sensor. It also has an 8 megapixel, ultra-wide angle, lens, with an aperture of f 2.3, a 2 megapixel macro lens and a 2 megapixel black and white portrait lens and for the front camera it has a 32, megapixel punch, hole camera so having the second generation Sony, mix 682 sensors is a clear upgrade from what we've had before in the real v6 pro, which was the Samsung gw1 sensor. Aside from that, realm also replaced the telephoto lens with a black and white portrait lens anyway, something new about the camera realm added the night filters, which kind of makes your photos look like you processed them in Lightroom.

It has three filters: the flamingo, the cyberpunk and the modern gold, and it's probably one of the best built-in features of the realm 7 pro. But anyway, let me give you a quick tour of the camera. Of course, when opening the app you'll go into auto mode, and what I like about this is the one times ultrawide two times and five times is really easy to find, because they're, just there and above you'll, find the flash HDR and AI dazzle color, which makes your photos really vivid and more saturated than it really is. Personally, I kinda like it, but for some of you guys who, like more natural colors, you may find it odd and beside the AI color dazzle is the filters where you'll find lots of different filters. But the filters which I mentioned earlier, which is the modern gold, cyberpunk and flamingo, are located at the rightmost.

If you swipe, left you'll go to video, which is automatically set at 4k 30fps, but if you want to shoot in ultrawide, you'll have to lessen the resolution to 1080p, because ultrawide lens is not supported in 4k. There is also an ultra steady mode, which makes your videos more steady, especially if you have shaky hands. It also has both mode for those creamy backgrounds. It also has more filters in which I really like, because there is an option to choose crimson forest, green sky, blue or even AI colored portrait, which makes you really stand out from the background, because you're the only one colored while everything else is black and white next is night mode, which we all know that really has nice night mode shots. One of my favorite features is the starry mode.

It lets you take 5 minute exposure shots for you to capture the stars at night or just to have better quality photos, especially if there's not much light and another feature that quite surprised me, because it's not usually there. The night mode also has color filters again in modern gold, cyberpunk and flamingo. Next is portrait mode which is gonna, make your backgrounds a lot creamier than it really is, and you'll have an option to choose how creamy your background will be and again, of course it has filters, but unfortunately it doesn't have the modern gold, cyberpunk and flamingo filters here. Next up is the 64 megapixel mode, which of course makes your photos much clearer and utilizes. The full 64 megapixels that the Sony imx682 sensor can provide, and if you go to the more tabs, you'll see movie, Google Lens time-lapse, text scanner, ultra macro, slo-mo, expert and panorama, so I've been using the realm 7 pro for the past two weeks as my main phone to shoot photos- and I must say, pictures turned out quite nice.

The image quality from the realm 7 pros main camera is very good. It even surpasses the camera of the realm 6 pro again. That is because they've upgraded the Samsung gw1 sensor into a Sony imx682 sensor. It even has livelier colors, which appeals to me even more. The images of the realm 7 pro also has a wide dynamic range and is excellent, even in isolation.

So here are a couple of shots taken with the AI color dazzle. To show you what I mean shooting from the main camera is good. It is really color accurate, but when changed to the ultra-wide, it kind of loses some of its color and the edges look kind of distorted and using the two times and five times zoom. The quality isn't quite as good because it doesn't have a dedicated telephoto lens, but the two times is pretty okay for those of you asking what does the 2 megapixel black and white lens do well? For one thing, it is what makes it possible to you know to shoot some videos with the AI color portrait, and this is what I mean. If you look closely, I have color but everything else.

It is black and white. So I guess it's a pretty good gimmick, especially if you're one of those creatives that want to up your game and with a portrait mode. The photos turned out really great because I, like the subject of background separation, the edges isn't really feathery. There is perfect detail to it, and it has a really natural bulky effect and for the photos shot in night mode. Well, I have to say from the realm 6 pro I like the night mode there, but with this realm took it to the next level.

Images shot with night mode has really nice detail. It is still color accurate, and it still looks natural and also Realme retained the great features that we love about the night mode, which is the tripod mode and also the starry mode. I have here two photos taken with night mode and starry mode. I have to say that I prefer the photos taken in night mode rather than the starry mode, because with night mode it got a lot of detail. It still took photos of the cloud well, the moon is not quite clear, but I get it because I kind of set the exposure too high.

But still there is great detail, while in the starry mode, since it is taking 5 minute long exposure shots. Of course the clouds will be blurry, but look at the leaves. I like the detail of the leaves better here than the one captured in night mode, and if you look closely it kinda looks like it was taken in daylight. I have here another picture using night mode and starry mode and again at first glance. Furthermore, I prefer the night mode shot.

But if you look closely, it captured a lot more stars. It also captured the cloud, but when you look closely in the starry mode shot a cool feature of this is it shows you the trail of the stars and same as the picture before I like the details of the leaves better here than on night mode now for the front camera I did tested it both during daytime and nighttime. Let me start off with the nighttime shots and, as you can see, even though I'm wearing a lot of black here, it still captured a lot of detail, light my sweat and even the creases of my shirt. Don't worry folks, I was wearing a mask, and I was just outside my house, and here is another shot taken in the studio and honestly, yes, it does have a lot of detail, but when you zoom in it kinda looks like it was over processed. But when you look at this photo that I took outdoors using natural sunlight.

Well, I have to say the pictures took outside were amazing. It has full detail and the kind of color chemistry that I really like in portraits and again in portrait mode using the front camera. The subject of background separation were on point and the edges of the subject were not soft, which gives you a greater in-depth photo now for videos. I really enjoyed how stable the videos were, even when I didn't turn on the ultra steady mode and one thing to note: if you're shooting in 4k 30fps, you can't use the ultra-wide camera it'll only work if you lessen the resolution to 1080p, so that is it for my camera review. If you're going to ask me Jason, are there any improvements of the camera? Well, yes, there are well for one thing, even though we have the 64 megapixel resolution, they've changed it from the Samsung gw1 sensor to the Sony imx682, which is a far better sensor.

In my opinion, and even though I didn't find the black and white portrait lens useful, the new color filter system enables the portrait lens to detect a wider array of light, assisting the main lens to capture light, better enhance image, contrast, create retro style images and add texture to portraits, and before I forget, how much does the reeling 7 pro cost? It costs 17 990 pesos. So that is it for today's video again, it's me Jason see you in the next one bye, guys.
