RAM® Tough-Case™ with USB Type-C for Samsung Tab Active3 and Tab Active2 By RAM Mounts

Today we're going to take a look at the ram tough case for Samsung Galaxy tab, active 2 and tab, active 3 with the USB type c male connector. At the end. Now the ram tough case is a two-piece enclosure that replaces the factory OEM case that comes with the device with a built-in USB type-c charging connector. That goes to the tablet, and at the top you have a housing for securing the stylus that comes with the tab active device on the back. You can see there's a nice clean opening for routing air through, so it helps regulate the temperature levels of the device you have access to the camera and access to the buttons on the side. Now, at the bottom, with the charging connector, you have an oversized stream relief pigtail that comes out.

That then terminates out to a heavy duty, coiled cable that can extend up to seven feet long. So this allows you to have a tethered tablet solution powered to your vehicle at all times, so it remains semi-permanently connected to the vehicle. With the USB type-c connection, you can adapt onto a hardwired charger for a constant connection. Now, what's very important and a great benefit about the USB type-c connection on this is that you can connect to any power delivery charger and by using a power delivery source to the device. It allows you to operate the tablet in no battery mode.

So before assembling the tablet to the ram tough case, you can actually remove the battery activate the no battery mode and with the constant power there's no need for the battery in the tablet. So this helps regulate the temperature levels even further when it comes to mounting the ram tough case in your vehicle ram offers. This form fit ram easy roller holder, that is form factor for the tough case, and it locks in just like this. This roller, at the top will secure the tablet in place. So it's a nice perfectly clean form factor, but still very heavy duty.

On the back of the holder, you'll see it has the same amps hole patterns that goes to all other ram mounting systems, so you can use a traditional ram dashboard mount for your truck to secure this in place. You'll see also on the back. There is the option to integrate this holder with a cooling fan to regulate the temperature levels of the tablet even further when it comes to running power to the ram tough case. Ram offers multiple, hardwired charger options with power delivery built in with the USB type c female connector. The one we're holding right here is a power, only version with simply that USB connection.

There are also two other versions that offer single and dual peripheral support, so you have one version that has an USB type, a female port and then another version with the dual USB type. A and those options will allow you to connect your keyboard, your printer, any other third-party peripherals. You can connect and communicate to your tablet through the charger and for any charger that you choose. We include a cable clamp with zip ties, so you can have a nice secure and safe connection that keeps it permanently tethered to your vehicle. Now the big takeaway, with the ram tough case, are the multiple features integrated that allow for regulating temperature levels of the tablet.

So in this technology, we're truly taking into account the most demanding environments and long-term use of fleets and truck drivers. So to recap, you have the large opening on the back that allows for a hotter temperature to flow out on the holder. You have an optional fan that lets cooling temperature flow in to the tablet and specifically for the tab, active 3 with the use of a power delivery charger. You can operate the tablet in no battery mode, so without the use of the battery you're, also contributing to lower temperature levels.
