Putting Our Hands On the Samsung Galaxy S20 Series

Citing times for smartphones, Samsung's just had their recent galaxy unpacked 2020 event down in San Francisco, and we were there. The big story is the new launch of the Galaxy S 20 line they've, actually skipped 10 models going from the s 10 to the s.20 and 5g is finally here in a major smartphone coming into Canada and down into the US as well. They've got three different models: they've got the S 20s, 20 plus, and s 20 altar, and you go up in screen size as you get. The larger models pricing is getting up there. The base model goes around $1,300 for the s 20 right up to over $1,800 for the s 20 ultra for the two models at the bottom of the line, the 20 and the 20 plus the camera built into those. It's actually got a 64 megapixel camera, so you'll be able to take some fantastic shots and up to a 30 x, hybrid zoom.

So you can really get in on the action. When you look at the ultra, they take that up a notch. It's got a hundred and eight megapixel camera built into the smartphone, and you're able to actually get what they call space zoom a hundred times. Zoom again, that's not optical, it's kind of a hybrid zoom between optical and digital, but it's almost like having a telescope built into your smartphone. Of course.

Also, you're gonna probably want to use a tripod to keep that little guy extra steady. So one of the big features for the cameras too, that I thought was pretty cool, is single shot feature. So when you go to the camera application now, the single shot feature allows you to actually pan around the area or room or the scenery that you want to take a photo of once. It's captured that it will actually then create a series of pictures and little videos for your photo catalogs, so it'll be able to. Actually you know zoom in on maybe a little Billy whose birthday party.

It is, but also have a wide shot of the entire party. Maybe a little video of the whole thing happening at the same time, it's kind of really taking how we take pictures to a whole other level. As far as the screen on these they're fantastic 120 Hertz screen on there and when it comes to video they've, taken it up a notch. I know most smartphones. Now, especially in the flagship category, can do 4k.

Well, the new S 20s. They can do 8k video at 30 frames a second, so that's some pretty amazing stuff. Obviously, you've got to have some sort of 8k TV, or maybe you're uploading them to YouTube. But if you do want to do it, you do have that capability. They did announce some partnerships as well with YouTube down in the U.

S. you get YouTube premium when you get the s20 model and Netflix is also partnered with them to do a series of little shorts for a lot of the new shows that are going to be coming out on that streaming service. Should you upgrade well? If you are into photography and videos, definitely a phone to have a look at they've got pretty well the state-of-the-art camera technology in this new line and 5g well, I, don't know if I'd necessarily upgrade to just have that 5g capability, but it is nice if you're going to be spending that much money on a phone. You're gonna, hopefully hope that it lasts for a few years and with the 5g networks rolling out down in the US and Canada it'll, probably take a couple of years for it to have a wider coverage. The phone will be ready for that pretty excited to actually get our hands on these devices and really put them through their paces.

But right now it's exciting to see that they're taking camera technology to the next level. Are you going to get a hundred eight megapixels smartphone we're pretty excited to do these videos, especially the videos around the s20 series? We need you to subscribe to our channel super easy, the buttons right there on the video screen and don't forget to hit the notifications as well. You.
