Poco M3 Review - A Budget 6000mAh Battery Phone Any Good?

Hey, this is lioness. What's up in this video, I wanted to mention my favorite features and the key shortcomings of a 149 dollar Poco m3 my favorite feature number one is definitely a six thousand William hours battery with this amount of juice, you're, looking at two three, four or even five days of battery life, depending on how you use the device, even if you use the phone heavily, you should get about one and a half days out of this battery Poco also implemented a high quality cell and other battery technology that assures low degradation even after 1000 charging cycles. Further the phone supports 18 watts, fast charging, and we get even faster 22.5 watts fast charger in the retail box. This brick can fully charge the phone in just about one and a half hours. Despite a massive battery, the phone is relatively thin and light that leads to another favorite feature simple, yet effective design. There are no premium materials in the construction of the phone, but that doesn't mean that the device is cheaply made.

In fact, Poco m3 stands out from the crowd with its leather style texture just like the frame, it's made of plastic, but it's nice to the touch. It has a somewhat soft rubberized feel to it, and it does not collect fingerprints like glossy surfaces. The build quality is excellent. There are no moving parts, the buttons are easy to reach and overall, this phone feels solid in the hand. Part of the design 6.53 inch display that I found to be pretty nice and sharp for everyday use. Even though direct sunlight visibility could be better.

The display is covered with gorilla glass 3 for protection, another favorite feature price to specs and performance ratio. A snapdragon 662 is running the show and the phone has 4 gigabytes of ram and up to 128 gigabytes of expandable storage. Gaming performance is good, yet not perfect. Games like asphalt, extreme and Call of Duty run fine, but you may see some skipped frames and a bit of stutter in titles like PUBG. Also, the latter game does not allow you to choose a HD graphics option, which is a kind reminder that you have a budget device.

User interface is typical, Xiaomi phone experience, android 10 based mini 12, has plenty of features and customization options and settings to tweak your phone. I did see a bit of stutter when I was switching between different apps a few times, but overall Poco m3 is a pretty fast and responsive phone for everyday use. What I love about the Poco m3 there are plenty of features and thoughtful touches. Considering such a low price of the device. For instance, you get two sim card slots and a dedicated sim card tray.

You can control your devices from a distance thanks to the IR blaster, and you can enjoy watching videos or listening to music via great sounding dual speaker system. If you prefer listening to music via headphones, there is a headphone jack once you plug in the butts, you can also enjoy free music on FM radio. I also found face unlock and a side mounted fingerprint reader to be really fast. Finally, Paco includes some nice extras in the retail packaging like a protective case, a screen protector and a few souvenir wristbands. Now, let's talk about cameras and image quality, we have a beefy 48 megapixels, regular 2 megapixels depth, any 2 megapixels macro sensors on the back and an 8 megapixel shooter on the front.

First, the good. The main camera can take really nice photos with a good amount of detail and sharpness. Most of the shots will look nice on social media, and this is what the majority of users need. However, the main shooter is inconsistent, and I found the corner sharpness to be lacking in quite a few shots. Further, some images came out a little soft a dedicated night mode helps you take really nice pictures in low light situations, considering the price of the phone.

My main gripe about the camera system is that it lacks the wide angle shooter, meaning that you lose versatility and the ability to capture different perspectives of the scene. Sure we have a dedicated depth sensor that produces decent portrait images, any macro shooter for mediocre, looking close-ups, but an ultra-wide angle lens would have been nice. On the other hand, it might be a little too much to ask for the price. A selfie shooter is pretty good, even though some shots could look sharper, but keep in mind that all the selfies were taken on a dark and cloudy day at night you can take decent looking selfies, depending on the lighting situation. As for video, 1080p is the maximum resolution.

The quality is pretty good, but there is no image stabilization, which leads to a shaky video. It's a similar story with the 1080p selfie video, the quality is decent, but some sort of video stabilization would have been nice. So here is my conclusion: Poco m3 is a very good phone, and it should be definitely on your list if you're shopping for a budget device with killer battery life, good specifications, nice display and good overall performance before you buy it. However, you need to know that the phone lacks a wide angle shooter, which is the key shortcoming of this device. To me now, a quick word from the channel sponsor Dr phone system.
