POCO M3 PRO: 3 WEEKS LATER (GAMING TEST/PERFORMANCE UPDATE)

Hi everyone as promised this is my follow-up video on the Poco m3 pro, and if you haven't watched my initial review, I would highly suggest that you watch it first before watching this, because in this video I'll just be sharing my actual experience using the Poco m3 pro for more than three weeks again. I hope you watch my initial video so that you'll have more background about the Poco m3 pro. So you'll also be able to understand what I'm talking about here. So first off, let's go ahead and address the performance issue here. So if you go back to my initial video you'll know that I've had an issue with its animation. I had to turn off the transition animation to make it more fluid, because at the normal animation speed, this was very sluggish.

But ever since I installed the update on this, the animations look really smooth. I mean they're as fluid as most of the Xiaomi phones that I've used before and as a matter of fact, I already turned it back on here. So if you can see that very fluid already no more issues when it comes to the transition animations, so that's a perfect touch. Hopefully the version that you get already has the update, but if not just go ahead and install the update once you get this phone before we proceed here are the prices for the other Asian countries. So, as usual, you already noticed that Poco is offering another tremendous value for their phone, especially if you can get the Poco m3 pro at its early bird rate.

However, if you are still saving up money for your next phone, don't worry. The Poco phones usually go on sale during big online sale. Events so you'll be able to catch this again at its early bird rate, but for those who already pre-ordered, and we're able to get this at it's early bird grade kudos to you guys, because you really got a great value phone here now. I don't want to make this video too long. I just really want to share my actual experience so with the apps that I've been using.

You know the daily apps that I've been using like Facebook, social media, apps and YouTube. Those are the only apps that I really actually use on a daily basis and also checking my emails as well. It's perfect, it's perfect for those things: the MediaTek density 700, while it's not the best processor out there does a really darn good job when it comes to daily tasks. Your daily apps that you use. However, it's still a little unoptimized for some apps, especially some games, but otherwise this is a really great processor that you can really rely on for the uninitiated.

You have to know that MediaTek has a bad rap when it comes to processors, because their previous processors ran really hot. Now I wanted to do a gaming focus review just to share the great thermals that I got here, but let's just do this in the same video, so I did nothing but game on this for three hours playing different games. Of course, I started off at Call of Duty mobile, and you can see the settings here, and you'll know that it's not really optimized for Call of Duty mobile. Yet hopefully, the developers will find a way to adjust the graphics settings for this and implement the high quality graphics settings, which I think this can handle. Regardless of that fact, Call of Duty.

Mobile really ran perfectly on the Poco m3 pro and, of course, unsurprisingly, because this was only running on medium graphical settings, which means to say that this wasn't really pushing the Poco m3 pro's graphical capability. So the thermals were perfect on this. So again at medium settings, which is the maximum graphical settings that we have right now for Call of Duty mobile, you won't have any thermal issues at all. Moving on to the next game, I played gang shin impact. Now this one, I wasn't able to play in my initial video, so you start off with the graphical settings at low, but don't be disheartened, because that doesn't mean that this can't go up higher when it comes to graphical settings.

So what I did was to set the graphics to medium, and surprisingly, I was able to run this at about 30 frames per second and of course it dips from time to time, but I didn't have any issues playing on medium graphical settings on the Poco m3 pro and, what's even better, is that there was no heating issue and, of course, granted again that this was running on just medium graphical settings, but there are phones that I've tested before on medium graphical settings, running impact that really ran hot. This one, however, just hit 42 degrees Celsius for its maximum temperature, while playing genii and impact. So color me impressed next up. I tried Black Desert Online. Now I haven't played Black Desert Online for a while, but yeah anyway.

I just set this to the quality, graphics settings and, amazingly, it ran really well. Even though I was fighting a lot of monsters, as you can see, I think that graphics still look really fluid, no noticeable lag or no frame drops that I can really perceive so again. Color me impressed. So if you are a black there's, an online player, this is something that you can use. Moving on to mobile legends, if you watched my initial video you'll know that this already has ultra graphical settings in HFR mode, so this is well optimized and even if you are in a huge clash, you won't experience any lag now.

If you experience any lag, make sure to check your latency if it's perfect, if it's bad, that is, what's gonna cost the lag. Okay, so don't blame the phone. The phone is very capable, of course, he played PUBG on this as well and while PUBG also doesn't have all the graphical settings available for it, it only maxes out at HD high. The experience was still perfect. Again, you can see that the developers haven't optimized this yet for the Poco m3 pro's chipset, and still it's running really well.

Lastly, there were a few requests for League of Legends wild drift, so I also tried that- and these are the only graphical settings that are available as of the time of this video. Now, I'm not too familiar with the graphics settings on League of Legends, but I'm pretty sure these aren't the only graphical settings that should be available, so I'm thinking this could still be optimized in the future, but again, regardless of the fact that this isn't fully optimized. Yet this ran perfectly, I mean I don't really think. League of Legends is a tough game to run so pretty good performance when it comes to League of Legends, I'm actually getting the hang of playing League of Legends. I still don't know all the skills of the heroes that I've been using, but hey I'm learning, and hopefully I'll, be better at this game, so that I can show you more gameplay footage.

My overall experience with gaming on the Poco m3 pro has been perfect. This is something that I can highly recommend to gamers. If gaming is your main concern when it comes to choosing a phone and also at a certain price range also, I want to share the battery experience on the Poco m3 pro. So again, as I mentioned, I was gaming on this for about three hours, and it went from 82 battery percentage down to 41 in those three hours of gaming on the Poco m3 pro, and I think that's perfect right. Let me know what you think about the battery life on this.

However, it's not all rainbows and butterflies for the Poco m3. Of course, there will be some downsides here, for instance, the display, of course it's 90 hertz, but it's not the actual 90 hertz that you can see from the top of the line phone. So this one has adaptive refresh rates so, depending on what you're using your phone for the 90 hertz might not kick in, even if you have it activated and of course, there's also the fact that some games don't really support 90, hertz or don't even have 90 frames per second. So if you don't really have games running at 90 frames per second, then it's not really that much of a big deal to have a 90 hertz refresh rate. If you are looking for a truly 90 hertz refresh rate phone, this might not be the best experience for you, so I'm just letting you know don't set your expectations too high.

When it comes to the display, you might not be able to see the actual 90 hertz refresh rate on this and another thing about the display on this. As you can see side by side, this one is the Redmi Note 10, and this one is the Poco m3 pro. So both displays are already at their maximum brightness. But, as you can see, the Redmi Note 10 has a way brighter display as compared to the Poco m3 pro, and you can see the difference here. So if you're looking for a phone with a really bright display, the Poco m3 pro might not be the phone for you and again, you can see.

This is the Redmi Note 10 and the Poco m3 pro and, of course, under direct sunlight. It's not going to be a great idea to be using the Poco m3 pro, and I wanted to show you an actual direct sunlight, video and now, of course, if we're going to be talking about some of the things that really aren't the best about the Poco m3 pro, we have to mention the camera. So the camera is a 48 megapixel Univision sensor. The cameras are decent. However, the downside is that you can only record up to 1080p 30 frames per second, so I'm not really sure if it's a limitation on the Univision or the actual processor, it's just a head scratcher for me that it can't take 4k videos.

Fortunately, however, the videos on this when shooting at 1080p 30 frames per second actually look good. So if you're not too specific about getting 4k video quality on a phone, then this could be a great option for you. So there you go. Those are the only things that I think might dissuade you from getting the Poco m3 pro. Overall, it's a really great phone, and I really enjoyed my time using this, and its base model is only 7490 pesos.

If you get it at its early bird rate, that's just insane value for a phone, and especially the fact that this already has 5g. In my initial video, I was really holding back from hyping up this phone, because initial impressions are usually just that initial impressions, and my initial impression in this was that it was okay, not great. I mean the laggy animations when it comes to the transitions really turned me off after a few weeks of using this, especially with the optimization update on this. This one is another winner for the Poco series. Now I know I'll be getting a lot of questions on whether to get the Poco m3 pro the Redmi Note 10 pro, or maybe the Poco x3 pro instead.

So personally, the phone that I'll be choosing between those three is the Poco x3 pro the performance on the Poco x3 pro is just so amazing, especially for its price range, and even though the Poco x, 3 pro, is still just a 4g phone. The question is: would you really be using 5g anyway, I mean. Does your area have 5g network already and of course, I'm well aware that the Poco x3 pro is much more expensive than the Poco m3 pro, but I'm assuming that you are willing to save up for a phone and your choices are this phone, the Redmi Note 10 pro and the Poco x3 pro? So if you have enough money already or if you are willing to save up for the Poco x3 pro go get that instead. But if you have a very limited budget, and you have to choose between the Redmi Note 10 pro and the Poco m3 pro- that one is a tougher choice. But again with just my personal choice, I might opt for the Redmi Note 10 pro instead, because the camera on that is perfect and, of course the display is already AMOLED.

But that's just me. I mean you might have a different opinion. Of course, you might be really into the Poco m3 pro. It's also a great choice, especially if you can get this for its early bird rate anyway. If you guys want to get your own Poco m3 pro I'll leave.
