Poco F2 Pro: Unboxing & Initial Thoughts By JEMZ Space

This one is 2 ft pro from Poco thing now, they're calling himself poco are in a suit or Xiaomi specifically dealing with budget, but flagship SPENT handsets now. If you remember, the original Poco thing was a bit of glam paper and almost a legendary handset it was offering the latest and greatest match. I can play sensor and some decent other features such as a relatively functional and good camera for 250 to 300 pounds or dollars.

Now this one is almost bubbled in place this one's going up 500, it's actually indicative of a trend, that's happening at the moment where things obviously just getting more expensive. But specifically, the manufacturers of the budget of flagship market are almost doubling their handset prices compared to when they have begun, I mean look at 1 plus, for example, when the OnePlus handsets came out. Originally they would dirt you 300 400. Now you get the top spec pro model, you're looking at close to a thousand. So if it's spiraling out of control, I, don't know, but we're going to unbox it and let's have a little look and see how feature pack this phone is.

Is it worth 500? Okay, this comes with a six point. Seven-inch screen at full HD resolution at 1080 by 240 pixels, that's roughly a PPI, pixels per inch or 395 average to good is nothing special, but it is a very big chunky, large scream, almost getting to seven-inch territory and a full HD display being spread over such a real estate. Your PPR is going to be moderately average. It comes with a snapdragon 865, with an Andrea 650 GPU, so this flagship- those are the two specs that you're going to expect to have some that this particular configuration is 128 gigabytes with six gigs of RAM. But you can also get a term 156 and a dick lamp option talking cameras, the other main 64 megapixel camera with a 1.9 aperture. You have a telephoto max low tumbler, say 5 megapixels, 2.2 aperture. You have a 13 megapixel, ultralight camera with a 2.4 aperture and any other depth camera, so depth of field at 2, megapixels, Deacon, record video at 8k and a frames per second 4k at 60 frames per second I forgot to mention the selfie camera. That is actually a motorized pop-up.

Remember them remember when we thought we are losing them remember when one plus four than that we're not walking anymore and went to the hole punch for the latest one, but before that under 7, you had to pop up. Well, it's not dead Plato and doing that actually wise, we're looking at 4,700 William battery with fast charging or 30 watts and I believe this is going to be running on Poco launcher, which is effectively kinda like slightly more simplified version of MINI that shimmies own operating system right there, that's the specs, and now we can do the fun part. Let's get this bad boy unboxed! Well, let's have a little look what's in here. First, let's get rid of this nice, so you got a sim card. Ejector tool check.

You'd expect that right, lovely all of your paperwork, warranty, user guide! You get a case, I love it. When companies put a case in their box, you know it's a deed. The fact I'm going to try I find something on eBay, Amazon, etc. , especially when you're dealing with these imported phones. It can be quite tricky, so they provided nice case here.

It's got a little of texture to it, I don't like love! Furthermore, it's like rubbing my fingers down like a chalkboard, remember doing that hollow ball, but seems nice and my bust more carpal crack right. That's your USB type-c to regular, USB, cable right there here is. Your BAM may have really put this thing really, really hard, like I've tended not one to attend, not one to rip the cardboard. That's inside I'm, quite a bit of a neat freak, but they've really made this hard to get out like what the hell honestly come on. Jeremy, you don't need to pack it in that tight down.

So this is your 33 watt power, brick here. So that's going to charge your phone up nice and quick, but right now, as far as I remember, some of these bricks are going up to 65 watt charge. So yeah it's fast, but there are other bricks by other companies that are doing almost double that so bear that in mind, but listen the iPhone SE, the new one 2020 models come with a 5 watt, brick, so a free compared to 5 you're laughing mate. Ok, here we go. Let's have a little look.

Look at that. Will you love that you know what matte finishes are highly underrated? They need to do a more I know. It seems to be a bit of a twin now, and I'm glad, because that with that purple and that matte finish is sexy as hell and check that with the little red button for the power band, a contrast of colors mate tell me that isn't Site, please, that is those banging that is a nice-looking handset. In my opinion now I understand that mechanical pop-up camera might be a little more expensive to manufacture, but the prices the people are charging I, don't see why it's a problem.

This is what we want. We don't want holes in a screen. We just want a full on screen. Look at this, that's beautiful, like I, need to put my sim card in, and I'm going to load my day.2 in you don't need to see me do all the setup. You guys have done that a million times.

So I put my details back into the phone right, so this has got all of my details in my sim cards in my apps, our costs, and I've been using it regularly for the last 24 hours. A couple of things that forgot to mention in your original unboxing just now this here, the camber capsule I love the symmetry on it and I.

Think more phones should be more conscious of making beautiful aesthetic on the back, especially one that has good solid symmetry. I mean if you think about the p40 Pro GS 20, huge massive camera capsules here store the light wherever and know sort of like real conscious effort. Give us something: that's quite visually, pleasing to the eye to look at not this one. This is lovely I also forgot to mention: it's got a headphone jack. You can see that see no IP rating, and it's not wireless charging compatible.

As you can see, this is a AMOLED display, so we've gone always-on display. If that's what you want, you can turn it on and off. Obviously you would turn it off if you want to reserve some battery a little. So, let's, let's just first, want to show you the fingerprint sensor light fingerprint is a bit iffy right. This is by far not the most accurate fingerprint sense that I've used I know now. I know it's a little iffy with in screen fingerprint sensors I have used ones, are much better, much more responsive, I, don't like it. When you have to place your finger in a very particular way, I believe either you just be like boom boom boom, and you just go in right. So that's a little of a headache: let's unlock the phone with face recognition, so what you can do in that case is just swipe up.

The camera comes up beeping boom in okay. Let's do it again swipe up okay, that works really nicely, and I presume you know. If the camera there like say you've got this really cool feature here. When you go into the special features, you can actually customize your front. Camera effects so choose the color of the light when it comes up, choose the sound effect.

Well, if he's gay we'll and let's change it to red, you see that you got all those cool. Will nice customization effects with your front camera? It definitely is the most sassy sexy, looking pop-up camera on a phone I've used, possibly as for the actual display. Okay, so I've thought that the 60 Hertz display would actually bother me and at first it did. Let me get my IQ Neo three out, okay, so the IQ Neo 3 is a 144 Hertz display. So that translates to someone a silkiest smoothest, scrolling you'll ever see honestly is its liquid move and when you compare it to this now, I don't know if it's going to really pick up.

If you can really notice it on the phone camber here that I'm using, but trust me it's night and day in terms of the difference. Let's just do a side scroll as well, so we go to the widgets and then just one here I know we just go back, and then we go back here. Okay, so I, don't know how much it picks up, but trust me, it's very, very noticeable. A higher refresh rate gives you a much smoother silky experience. It's just nicer to have, however, is my point.

You notice it when you first use it for the first couple of hours after about 24 hours such as, why I've been using this? You don't really notice yet that more so yeah it's nice to have, but is it something as a catastrophe? It's not on there. No I, don't think it is actually. However, here's my other point. This phone is 500 500 bucks right, 500, pound $500. Whatever this one is 350 at both snapdragon 865 they're, both pretty hefty in terms of their specs' flagship level space, but this one is 150 pounds cheaper than this one, and this one has a hundred or 44 Hertz on its display.

So why have Xiaomi made a conscious effort to put 60 Hertz on this one because, their other player co-signed ex2 that came out this year? Has a hundred and twenty hurt screens there are other. Will me flames with LED ship specs that are cheaper than this that have nightly hurts minimum, so I really don't get the idea of putting sixty Hertz, and it's at least give us 90 Hertz. Okay, I am given a display a bit of a hard time because look at it. It's look at the screen to body ratio is fantastic, no cutouts no notches, it is actually quite beautiful. All phones should be like this put a bloody mechanical camera on your phone.

If it's going to give us a full screen, please, honestly, let's talk about the operating system, this uses Poco launcher, which is a real joy to use. That's obviously, a skin of Android ten cards on the left. You can put your widgets wherever you need, like I have folders you scroll up. You've got a natural yeah. Okay, one thing that I wanted to show you, which is pretty cool, is if you swipe light twice: okay, you get this hidden apps' area. You know, on the lock and key. Oh, you can access that. You don't want no one, hacking, your phone and accessing that private information.

You use this so give you an example. Put your fingerprint in, and I've put documents in there, and although I've got anything important on there, but just for an example, and I'll go add another app for you. So click the arrow at the top right hand, side and just I'll just choose anything at random, but I'll choose one of my banking apps, American, Express, ok, and you've got your hidden area for apps. Okay, that's pretty cool I have a cool thing with this. So yes, it has infrared you've probably heard about this.

Already more phones should do this because infrared even though it's a ancient technology is pivotal technology even still today, but we still control so many devices with infrared. Don't we say: well, I, don't more phones have it I, don't understand, but let me show you how that works so in your Xiaomi folder, which I've made by the way, but you'll have to sell me mill my app readily available on your fame click it, so I've set it up? So I've got like some crappy EG home TV in my front room now, click on it and that brings two remote up, and it actually works. You know I can change the volume I commute here. I can change channel if I press the little door like an icon and that will bring my source options. So I can change that to my PlayStation 4 Xbox, whatever that all works very nicely and to get that all set up.

If you want to add a new device, you just pressed the plus button here. You choose what type of device it is, so you want a TV, and it has an extremely comprehensive selection of TV manufacturers. Here, I'm, absolutely positive, you'll find a TV that you've got, and then you'll be able to just easily set it up with a couple clicks of buttons, and then you've got a little note on your phone ready to use for your TV Sky box, any other device that might use infrared. It has a lot of good functionality. Ok, so the web browser on this is actually cool.

So there native web browser the one that's specifically used for Poco I, don't know, there's the same one for Xiaomi branded phones, but on it, you can embed your YouTube account onto the actual browser, the home page with your subscription. So everything that comes up on your subscribed YouTube channels will come on their newsfeed like, so you can log into your Facebook and access it directly from the actual home page here. Another thing that the browser can do. It has a direct link to your WhatsApp flings statuses. So you know: what's up has this function, which is similar to Instagram stories? Normally, it just disappears within 24 hours.

This actually downloads it direct your phone. Now, that's no use to me, but I guess. If you, for whatever reason want your friend story, is to go straight onto your phone safe forever, a bit stalker wish, whatever you can do that, so look does nothing for me. I've got make use for that. Okay, everyone's different, look, I, don't judge, but you have that ability to do on here.

If you want okay cool. Also, let's not forget about things such as gestures. Yes, it has gestures, look three-finger swipe down, and you take a screenshot. All of that is available to add and amend in the settings. There's a comprehensive settings section that has a lot of cool things.

They're fully check out special features, because special features will give you a lot of cool things that you can do with the OS. If you like customization tools or let's talk gaming right, so you have this option called game, turbo mode, ok, game, turbo mode effectively! Is a gaming play system, power, boost and I guess wave? Does it just turns a few things off in the background to really optimize all order to play sang towards the actual running of the game, to give you I, guess smoother frame rates? Essentially so I'm not a massive gamer, but if I do play games its role-playing games, you can load into this boost mode, your games. So if I wanted to add another game, you just press the add option. The games come up, so I can add crazy to, so I've, never even played that's one, a Shanley's spam where games that come pre-installed, but if I add games into it, and then you can open it and then um you're ready to look I'm, not gonna start playing Final Fantasy 7! You don't really want to see me start walking around Midgard, sure, okay, finally, camera so Sham mi is one of the companies that have got camera technology down to a tee. In my opinion, the Men 10, which is actually a cheaper phone- and this has one of the best cameras on the market still today, so I'm interested to see test two cameras, some more to see how close it is to shimmies Mormon.

Has it been mind-blowing? No, it hasn't done I like it.

Yes, I do I think the real test is for me to spend a good week to two weeks with this phone. My initial thoughts are that 500 pounds, this phone doesn't do anything particularly mind-blowing to really justify being a bit more expensive than the IQ Neo free, for example, even the Xiaomi no 10. Some Realme phones are absolutely paving away for flagship specter by our budget price point phones and some of them on my initial reaction or playing around with them at first blew me away a little more than this, but my mind could change after I've been using this regularly?
