Pixel 5 vs Pixel 4 XL - Speed Test Comparison!!!

Hey everyone RJ here welcome back to the channel, and today I'm doing a speed test between the Google Pixel 5 and the Google Pixel 4 XL. Let's get it started, okay, so before we get started in with a speed test, I'm going to give you just a couple of basic specs of both devices. Now, of course, you can see the considerable size difference between the pixel 5 and the 4xl here, but the pixel 5 runs the Qualcomm snapdragon 765 g processor also has 8 gigabytes of ram and 128 gigabytes of internal storage. The Pixel 4 XL runs the Qualcomm snapdragon 855 processors, with 60 gigabytes of ram and also 128 gigabytes of internal storage. Really, all you need to know right now. As far as the specs go so right now we're going to go ahead right now and do the boot up test in three two one now, so I'm very interested to see here between the a55 flagship processor from last year against the 765g just opening some apps up here so see which one powers on first that's going to be the Pixel 4 XL right behind it, the pixel 5.

, okay. So both phones are on and, to be honest with you, the Pixel 4 XL is still a very relevant phone here in 2020 runs the 855 snapdragon processor. You know you got the pixel 5 over here with it's 765 g processor and both of them run very well. Of course, this is a 4g LTE device, it's a 5g device. So now I want to say this here that these speed tests are not scientific in any way.

They're. Basically, just me opening up side by side, seeing which one gets to the app faster, of course, depending on your internet speed and how you use your phone they're, going to act differently than what you probably see in this video here. I run these here just for the fun of it just to show you the differences here between the know the 765g and the 855 flagship processor from last year, and just showing you the differences here I mean so take it for what it is. It's not scientific, it's just mainly for fun both of these phones. Here they run very smooth.

I mean no issues with either one of these phones. Right now, they're, both on 60 hertz, I'd just leave, 90 hertz turned off to be honest with you, so uh yeah. Let's go ahead and check out some geek bench scores. Okay, so on the pixel 5 we got a single core score of 584 and a multi-core score.1592 Pixel 4 XL has 682 single core and 2345 multi-core, so it kind of walks away from it in the multi-core but sort of similar there in a single core both of these running android 11 and the latest security patch. Let's go ahead.

Go back home here got the swipe feature set up. Everything is ready to go clear. It out all updated. Let's go ahead and start in with this test. Starting now, oh pixel, 4 XL took it just a little there u2 again very close with the Pixel 4 XL calculators that was about even calendar uh.

Let's try that one more time a little pop up there calendar yeah very close, again clock huh, close target. Pixel 5 took it just a little there. I do believe Amazon. There you go, that was the pixel 5 Instagram and about even there again play store yeah prime video, that was the pixel 4, XL, Snapchat, even twitter, and once again, that's very close Netflix. I'm trying my best to push these at the exact same time.

If I'm a little off, I do apologize for that, but you're getting the general idea here. Very close. There temple run 2. , so the game should be where you see the Pixel 4 XL take off a little that multicore and all of that. But still you know it's not a runaway apparently right here.

Let's just see how much faster it is so a couple seconds there opening up temple run on the pixel 5 it's going to dead trigger, so that was about even there that was very, very close and pub g mobile, so you're, seeing here both of these phones very similar. Of course, your daily activities on your phone's going to be different. You know, depending on how you use your phone, but in just everyday usage, I'm noticing that really there's not much difference in performance. Um gameplay works great on both, and I mean the phone just worked great and you have seen right there. This screen popped up almost identical.

Of course, you got the x's. You got to press here which takes you to all kinds of little snippets and stuff like that. So I'm going to skip all of that for right now, but you get the general idea that both of them work very well. Okay, both of them have no issue whatsoever with gameplay with apps. Everything seems to be smooth both of them work very well, and you got a difference here between the a55 and the 765 g.

You got eight gigabytes of ram in the pixel 5. We got six here in the Pixel 4 XL and both of them are similar in power for just your ordinary everyday usage. Now, if you want to power, use your phones, then the 855- that's probably going to edge it out a little, but from what I've seen and then my usage of using these phones for a long or for quite a while now I can't tell any difference: let's go ahead right now and run through some of these uh for ram management. I don't mind if I press them at the same time or not I'm just seeing these are open, which ones are not. That was open, dead, trigger we're good to go on both of those uh going temple run two, and both of them were, of course, open, Netflix, uh kind of reload there, I think, on the pixel 5 twitters, both were open.

Snapchat was good, a little slow there on the uh prime video, but I bet they were open. Uh play store, works, fine, Instagram, open Amazon, target clock, calendar calculator, YouTube and bible. I mean perfect performing phones, as you see right there. Both of these phones work tremendously. Well, I've not had an issue with either one of these phones.

The cameras are fantastic, fingerprint scanner. Here on the pixel 5, I like a bit better than the face unlock here on the Pixel 4 XL, but both of them are fine, no issues with either one of them. Cameras are great, I mean yeah, I just I love these phones. They just I mean stock android I mean you can see here. The 765 processor, with a gigabyte Sarah, performs very well like I said before, not a scientific test.

All right, your usage is gonna, be different from my usage: okay, um, but you're, seeing there same Wi-Fi network, same apps, everything's the same, and the 765 g can hang with the 855 processor in most areas. Okay, it's only whenever you start really pressing your phone playing heavy games, constantly you're going to see the a55 hold up a little better, but overall, I can't tell the difference in performance. Teams are one of them just being real, so, except for informative anyway. Hit that, like button, any questions leave it down below. I upload every Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays.

So if you're new around here be sure and subscribe notifications, I'd appreciate it. You all have a good, and thanks for watching.
