Pixel 4a vs Pixel 5 - Speed Test Comparison!!! By CV Tech

Hey everyone RJ here welcome back to the channel, and today I'll be doing a apeak test comparison between the Pixel 4a and the pixel 5. Let's get it started, okay, so briefly before I get started with the speed test, I want to say these tests are not scientific all right. It's just two phones side by side on the same Wi-Fi network, opening the same apps at the same time to see which app can open faster. Okay, I get a lot of comments. Sometimes you know criticizing that I'm not pressing the exact same time or the fact that maybe one starts up before the other, but the other one uh gets to the app quicker and stuff like that, and then I's just all kinds of stuff like that I have to hear um, but these here are not going to be determined how your day-to-day usage is going to be with either phone okay, with any speed test that I run. So these are just for fun.

They are just to show you. You know the difference between. You know the ram optimization just stuff like that. So that being said either not to be taken seriously. You know you cannot really judge how a phone's gonna work every day, just by pushing apps side by side, a lot of channels do these and just and especially just to show you the performance of both phones.

So with that being said, let's go ahead and look here: Pixel 4a, pixel 5, and there is a considerable bit of difference between these two devices here and if you want to see a video describing the differences between the two leave it down below in the comment section, and I'll make that happen. So with that being said, we're going to start with a boot up test in three two ones. Now all right, so the 4a appears to have started up a bit faster there, and I apologize for the lighting situation. It may not be the best lighting um for this test right now, but we'll make do what we have at the moment. So we'll see that the pixel 5 did start up briefly over the Pixel 4a okay, so both phones are powered up now and ready to go.

Now, I'm only going to give you the specs, like the processor and the ram and the storage stuff like that. Just for the purposes of this video here, the Pixel 4a here runs the Qualcomm snapdragon 730 g with 60 gigabytes of ram and 128 gigabytes of internal storage. Pixel 5 runs the Qualcomm snapdragon 765 g, with 8 gigabytes of ram and 128 gigabytes of internal storage. That's all you really need to know right now for this speed test, like I mentioned before. So let's go ahead right now and check out a few geek bench scores and as you see here, it's not really a runaway between the pixel 5 and the 4a. You got 531 single core and 1523 multicore here on the Pixel 4a and 588 single core and 1573 multicore here on the pixel 5 both run android 11, so yeah both of them are up-to-date. Let's go ahead and go back home here, and we'll go ahead and clear out. All these apps well we'll try anyway, and I do want to apologize again for maybe the quality of this video here. I normally have a backdrop here on this surface uh.

That makes everything look better with this LED light. However, for some reason with this back in here- and these phones for some reason it just doesn't look the clearest, and it may be a little washed out. So I do apologize for that with that being said, let's go ahead and get started with this test, starting now I'll go to the pixel 5, let's go into YouTube, and that was about equal. I think that maybe the 4a had it. Let's go into the calculator pixel 5 calendars.

That's about equal there again clock! Oh, I was close, let's go into target and that will be the pixel 5 Instagram pixel 5 had it right there play store. These are close, but the pixel 5 had it prime video that is the pixel 5 Snapchat, oh, so close twitter, pixel 5, had it barely there Netflix, and that was even that was just even temple, run two. So, just like what a half a second behind- maybe let's see here, yeah it's close: let's go into dead trigger it's very close there again uh between the two uh, but the pixel 5, I think, did have it there just slightly now into pub g mobile. So this should be close, we'll see which one starts up first here. Well, just the glare and the brightness wash out is just crazy uh, but pretty close.

Looking so far. Let's see here, I believe it's going to be the pixel five, but not by much so there you go. I mean these x's you have to press on pub g is really annoying so um by pressing that there yeah it's pretty close and honestly gameplay management here on these devices, starting with pub g. Of course, both were open. Let's go back into dead trigger and both are ready to go.

Let's go into tempo run two, but we're ready to go. Let's go into Netflix a bit of a reload on the 4a twitter. Both we're open, Snapchat. First we're good to go. Prime video look looked okay, I mean play store.

Both were open. Instagram both were open. Amazon both are good target. Both were open, clock calendar calculator, YouTube man in the bible. Everything was open ready to go.

I think one reload here on the Pixel 4a, but to be honest with you performance wise now. Yes, like I said at the beginning of the video that you know your usage, these devices is going to vary depending on how fast your internet is. You know your LTE, whatever the case may be, but you know just by this test here, they're very, very similar in speed, but anyway Pixel 4a versus pixel 5, both of them great performers, 730g 765g, eggs of ram 6 gigabytes of ram. What do you all think I mean 350 retail price for the 4a 700 retail price for the pixel 5.
