Pixel 4a vs Pixel 4 XL

Hey, what's happening everybody so Pixel 4a versus the Pixel 4 XL a comparison. The first off I want to talk about. I've used both of these extensively, as my daily driver especially did I just say that right, especially the Pixel 4 XL. I have used this since day, one primarily as my daily driver, so I have a lot of experience with this phone. Furthermore, I know the ins and outs, I know the good, I know the bad, so I have been using the Pixel 4a as my daily driver for a few weeks now. Furthermore, I also know the ends and the outs of this phone right here.

The first thing that I'm going to say is and the elephant in the room, the size I've got I've gotten really used to using the bigger phones. Now I want to say this: the size of the Pixel 4a is comfortable because it fits in pockets, and it's better in the hand, and what I mean by better in the hand, is you won't drop it as much all right, so I have had a couple of drops with my pixel for Excel. I do extreme things, though, so I do a lot of hiking or I know, I'm just doing stuff right, so I do things that where they have the probability of me dropping a phone is a little higher so anyway, but this right here has been really nice to be able to stick into a pocket and in a front shirt pocket depending on the brand and size of shirt. You can even close. The pocket just depends on all right anyway.

Next the display I wanted to mention this. You all know already. You already know how I feel about displays and regarding uh warm tint versus cool tint. The Pixel 4a has a wider display versus the Pixel 4 XL. I've always said that the Pixel 4 XL has a yellowish tint.

I've had three different models of this trying to, maybe because, because I thought maybe that uh, it was just one of the variants of the phone that I have, but now every pixel 4xl that I had has the same yellowish tint to it. Now the whites on the Pixel 4a are nice. The blues are blue, the greens are green. I mean just look at this, for example, this video right here you can see the skin tones. You can see the greens, her blue outfit.

Everything just works. Okay, we'll come over here, we'll pull up. Another photo come over here to my instagram, my Twitter. Now this is all this also has something to say with the cameras of both of these devices, the pixel for Excel and the Pixel 4a. Both take amazing photos.

As you can see, I mean the pixel 4 8 does an amazing job. I've posted so many photos from my Pixel 4 XL as well. There is never any complaints now. The one thing I'm going to say, and I'm hoping that the Pixel 4a 5g and the pixel 5 have a wide angle lens, because there's so many photos and there's been so many instances where I really, really wanted a wide angle shot. It would have just been amazing, and you know anyway, so that's what I'm hoping from the upcoming pixel 5 or the pixel 4 a5g, but that is a subject for another video all right.

The next thing. With these two devices you know the battery life on both of these is fine. I have forced 90 hertz on my pixel for Excel. This right here is 60 hertz and, with that being said, real, quick, real, quick. I want to digress.

Watch this, so we'll open this up, and we'll do some scrolling. Now you can probably see it in the video there's a little there's a little of a chop going on in the Pixel 4a and the pixel for Excel is extremely smooth all right. So, let's get out of there too much news is a bad thing anyway. So that's the one thing I will say, though uh before we go back to talking about battery life is the 90 hertz on the Pixel 4 XL is just so nice all right, and I've had it forced, so it's 90 hertz all the time, but back to battery life easily get all-day battery life with the Pixel 4a. The only time I have had an issue is when I've just gone on extreme YouTube, watching I've done videos taken a ton of photos, then yeah the little battery in here will go away.

It will drain fast, the Pixel 4 XL, not even a problem all day battery life, but the same thing, though, once you stand on the batteries of both of these phones and what I mean by stand once you just go crazy doing stuff, whether you're gaming or you tubing, it's the batteries just go, but that can be said for other phones as well, so yeah, that's that now performance. I'm going to say this because that's what a lot of people want to know about the performance on both of these are extremely, extremely well. Uh, you open things up. They just open right away which come over here then we'll come back. Well, actually, I'm afraid to even go back in or no it's going to pop up watch wanna just roll the dice.

No, I don't think we will the performance on both of these phones. You just see the way the cameras open up right there back and forth back and forth. All right now watch this back and forth back and forth back and forth. All right, both of them perform the same. Now that little test I did right.

There is more accurate than any other test you can do. I mean you can run geek bench and do the an tutu and all that other stuff, but it's all about your in-hand performance and how the phone's going to perform the only issues that I've had with both of these devices right here are android messages. I send about three thousand to four thousand text messages I send and receive about three to four thousand text messages a month and every once in a while. Furthermore, I have to clear the cache in android messages, because if I don't, it just freezes up and no other app on here does that will probably because I don't use any other app as much but no other app. Does that all right? So I have to do that with android messages, and it gets.

It can be a little frustrating all right, but it is something that I have to do and that's you know it's something I deal with so other than that, though performance on both of these are just they are stellar. Okay, you open up the apps. They open up, really, really quick. You might get a maybe a split second delay compared to the 4xl with the 4a, but other than that watch bam. You're, not missing anything.

I mean it's not slow by any means all right. You don't just see that right there. I think, but the performance on both are well. The word optimized gets thrown around like a NFL football, but it's no secret that Google android optimizes stock android for the pixel line. You can just tell when you use these phones just how it works.

Just how great it is all right, no stutter, no lag. It just goes. I will say this, though, when things do fall apart on these stock android devices- and we all know this isn't a secret when things fall apart on these devices, you know like say: there's a bad update or just say something's going on then yeah, you know, then things can get interesting and frustrating and ridiculous. Okay, but watch this I'll open up this one right here bam. You see that right there I mean they are both spot on and the Pixel 4a can hang with the Pixel 4 XL, so performance, I'm really, really happy with it.

I want to keep using this too, I'm not just one of those people that reviews the phone and forgets about it. After a couple of weeks now I'm going to be reviewing and doing this phone for probably a whole year. You'll know how I do it. I've been doing this one right here for almost a whole year. I'll do the same thing with the Pixel 4a, because I want to make sure you all know which phone to get, and I want to make sure you all get.

You know the best deal and I want you all to have the best experience. That's what I'm saying! That's what I'm saying right there all right uh now the speakers on both of these phones sound good. These speakers here sound more bass, probably because there's more body, okay for the sound to resonate through than on this, but the speakers on here have been well. I wouldn't play a song on here, but I mean come on. You know it doesn't sound that good when you're playing a smartphone song speaker on a smartphone anyway, so I will say that so, if you're really, really thinking about getting the Pixel 4a, but you're concerned about the whole music thing, how it's the speakers, how it's going to sound, don't be worried about it.

They sound. It sounds terrific! Just like this! Now you have a headphone jack. So for those of you that just want to kick it at the house using your wired headphones, perfect! That's what I do. The only time I will use wired headphones is when I'm at home and my wired headphones are over there on that shelf. Long story short.

The Pixel 4 XL does not have a headphone jack so, and this is more bang for your buck. So not only can you use Bluetooth headphones on your Pixel 4a, you can. You can use your wired headphones because to me, it's all about the features this phone right here is a heck of a lot more expensive, and you get less with this right here. You get more all right and that's effect, and I'm just that headphone jack is still where it is where it is so. I know a lot of people have been brainwashed and tripped into thinking that not having a headphone jack is a good thing.

No fewer features is a bad thing. We need to get that through our heads anyway. Next that capacitive fingerprint scanner is the truth. I love it. It just works every time watch.

How do you like that all right? What am I doing here? All right, right away, put the phone in my cell phone blast now this right here face unlock on the pixel for Excel is extremely, extremely reliable. All right keep doing this all right. I had to do a double tap there huh. I wonder what's going on their well anyway, so both options of unlocking both of these phones are extremely reliable. All right.

The only thing I don't like about this face unlock is sometimes I just want to look at the phone to see what time it is, and I'll like look at it obviously and boom. It opens like watch phone on the table hanging out. What time is it before? I know it, the phone's unlocked all right. So, whenever you do this, what time is it there? You go? You don't get the same there. We go good job.

You don't get the same issue going on, so I really love the capacitive fingerprint scanner. I like it even more because it's on the back where it should be in display fingerprint scanners. Just don't do it for me, because it just feels weird having to place the thumb like it's almost like guessing game still now, in-display fingerprint sensors have come a long way, which is extremely cool yeah, whatever man I'm old-fashioned, so whatever, whatever it is, what it is. What else is going on here? Oh, I really can't talk about the durability of this phone just, yet I'll. Let you know how the durability is in about three or six months, because you all know how I use my phones, I'm out there hiking, I'm, you know on top of roofs digging ditches lifting weights, I'm doing everything with my phones, everything you can imagine I'm doing it.

Alright mike was skydiving with one of my phones, one of these days, world traveler just got to get over this whole 2020 thing anyway, other than that Pixel 4a compared to the Pixel 4 XL. They are both amazing devices. I recommend them both depending on your price range. This one right here is just amazing, but if you need a big phone size matters, you know what I'm talking about here. We are bam.

That's gonna! Be it for this video. I want you all to hit me up on Twitter. Hit me up on Instagram, that's where I'm at all the time. You all know how I roll and uh. If you have a special request, video, let me know I'll get that special request.
