Pixel 4 versus Oneplus 7 Pro speed test

Hey, what's going on guys, I'm nick griffin, Android, and today we are doing a smartphone speed test to test out the performance of the new pixel 4 and compare that with the 1 + 7 pro now, as you can see from the size of these phones. These two devices don't really have a lot in common, but they are running on the same snapdragon 855 processors on the inside, but the pixel 4 only has 6 gigabytes of RAM compared to the 1 plus 7 pros 12 gigabytes for this model. Here, the other advantage that the OnePlus 7 Pro has is that it's using UFS 3.0 storage versus the 2.0 storage, that's used on the pixel 4, which gives it better sequential, read and write speeds. So, let's get started as we do in all of our speed tests. We're going to start things off with a fresh boot, just to make sure that everything's been cleared out of memory, but it's also interesting to see which device boots up quicker, though the boot uptimes are never indicative of what the final results are. Going to be right from the beginning.

We can see the Google's software optimization coming into play with the pixel for booting up quite a bit quicker than the one plus the seventh row it'll be interesting to see how things play out throughout the speed test. For this comparison, we're going to be opening up applications simultaneously on both smartphones to see which device opens the app quicker, and then we'll be coming back through for a second round to load the same applications to see which device loads two applications quicker from memory with that, let's get started with a score of five to eight in favor of the one plus the seven pro after the first round. Things are definitely not looking good for the pixel floor, but let's jump in to round two and there we have it with a final score of 14 to 18 the 1 plus 7 Pro. Definitely walks away with a win here. That being said, though, we were surprised at how well the pixel 4 performed in round 2, despite having half as much RAM as the 1 plus 7 Pro, and in using the pixel 4 as our daily driver since launch.

We definitely have not seen any RAM issues whatsoever. Let me know what you think of the results in the comments and, if you're, at all surprised by the performance of the pixel 4. Thank you guys so much for watching, and we'll catch you in the next one.
