Otterbox Symmetry Series Case for OnePlus 8T Unboxing and Review

What is up guys welcome to the big unbox, where we do that small tech, and today I am back with another big unboxing for you for the OnePlus 8 to the t, and today we're back with a case from otter box. This is going to be the symmetry series to unbox. Do a quick review as always I'll, throw up the link in the video description. If you want to check it out, pricing definitely going to be steep, it's 49 bucks, but do check around for some coupon codes. I think I was able to knock about five to seven bucks off of it, so it made a little more easy pill to swallow, but still expensive. On a side note I don't know what's going on unless I checked a couple of times today and still this is in the US, I can't speak for other territories.

All the cases for the at the official case are still coming soon. So what are they doing? It's released, or at least I got my pre-order um. It doesn't come with an actual case itself this time, so you don't get a clear case. So you really to me, I need a case before I actually start using my phone. That's just me.

I spend my money on these phones and I need the actual case. That's why I do all these accessory reviews to see if they are worth your guys' money. So hopefully this one's worth your money, there's not a lot available right now. I do get an UAG one coming as well, hopefully get that in the next couple of days as well, but that's a little mini rant kind of just disappointed upon this launch with the accessories from OnePlus. So this is going to be some.

Hopefully heavy-duty protection got the otter box branding, they kind of changed up the actual packaging. A little drop protection uh. This is wireless charging compatible, which I don't think this one's actually work. That's kind of weird, because the at is not wireless charging, which is funny, and then the back is going to tell you more details about what you're actually going to get the thin design and then all the good stuff. Let's get right to it and see if it's a hit or miss.

I know you guys are looking for a case for that brand new, beautiful phone um rant, ranking aside. This is definitely a beautiful device just wish they would have done a little better job with the accessory releases all right, so this is going to be kind of it's closer to the this. Is me the symmetry series kind of feels and looks like the commuter a little back in the day when you got this matte black finish on the very back kind of a smooth SL, it's kind of slip. I think slippery a little. It's probably the best word for it on the actual back of the phone, but it shouldn't have any type of matte, or it shouldn't have any type of fingerprints.

It feels like it's pretty much matte got the otter box branding, it's pretty big, but not a problem, looks clean transitions from the hard shell plastic, and it's going to transition to the actual kind of silicone uh bumper around all the edges as well. So that's going to give you a little more grip on the sides where it's the cut-off right there. You guys can see that it's slippery right here, but then the cut-off is going to give you that grip where it transitions to the silicone. So it's not too bad. It's not as drippy as I would like, but it's definitely not too bad.

So it's transitions to that interior got the nice soft material in the interior of it otter box branding, which kind of looks sleek. That kind of changed up the design. A little appears to be hard. Shell plastic. I wish it would have been maybe a little softer um to the touch.

I think they actually could put something a little softer in there. Instead of this hard drop plastic, considering the actual inner shell of the bumper is silicone, which is a softer material itself, but you should get some nice heavy-duty protection with this one. So that's pretty much it is one part case kind of hybrid case between hard shell plastic back and then the silicone uh bumper, as well so very nicely done. Let's take out that beautiful, beautiful polar gray, I think it's what it's called. I like it.

It's kind of like a soft gray, but it's kind of chant. You know changes in the light a little. We got a gray and then maybe blue in the little lighting a little. So it's very, very nice. Let's swap it down wipe it down.

It appears to be matte finish as well. So I like that it's premium feel build quality, is awesome. OnePlus is doing it with this one. I like this one, a lot: let's wipe it down, make it look beautiful for the camera pop it into place like that boom. There you go! So that's how it's going to look.

Definitely not the sexiest looking case in the world, not gonna, say that this is a bad looking case, but for me, I kind of like to show off the phone a little so for me personally, I would like to have a little more sleek compact look to it. This kind of just adds some bulk. It kind of looks a little dated, I would say, but in terms of overall it should give you some nice protection. Let's check out the camera protection right there. You can see you got that reinforcement around the camera edges, not too bad.

You are getting some decent camera protection with the reinforcement, so I don't have any issues at all. There definitely not flush. You got some different angles of that, so I don't have any problems with that. It's a decent camera protection decent to good camera protection, no problems there. Let's check out the lip, because everybody likes a fat Liz, zip all right.

So lip protection, nice lip protection, you got! This is what I like about this one. This is what they do good. You can see that reinforced lip all the way around the edges. Very nice, you drop it. It got that slippage first.

I like that, because you got this slippage, that's actually going to protect the phone itself from actual drops. I like that. It's going to give you some extra protection from drops, so that's the key. You got full edge to edge lip protection, no curved screen. Thank god! No issues there.

With that volume up and down click and responsive. I, like the buttons, are soft, a little of otter box branding right there that I missed looks very clean, nicely done. Sleek look around the edges, uh mic right there, cutout looks good power, looks good as well. Speaker looks good, so the ports actually look excellent, no issues at all with that volume or the power button clicking, responsive and then alert slider. Let's check this out, I like what they did here.

You can see that cutout right there, it's kind of in a little what it's going to do: easy access to the alert, slider 100 of the time. I like that as a that's probably one of my favorite features of this particular case- is that access to the alert slider. So let's check this out. Look at that beautiful nice looking case again not going to win any awards for the best looking case in the world, but I would say that for the time being, if you guys need a case, that's going to give you some heavy-duty protection, and it's definitely not going to add too much bulk to your phone. It's not going to win! It's not the best looking case, but it's definitely going to give you some heavy-duty draw protection.

While you know saving you some money, if you do drop the phone from scratches and all that good stuff and just breaking the actual, I like the lip protection. A lot. That's one of the nicer lip protections that you're going to see. I do get the UAG case coming. That's going to be really in direct competition with this one.

So we'll maybe do a little comparison when I get them and see which one is the big boy for the actual heavy-duty protection award for this OnePlus 8t, if you guys have any suggestions, throw it up in the comment section we get to as many reviews as humanly possible on the channel appreciate the support. We're going to call this one, I'm going to call it a hit, and it's expensive, but I'll say with the limited availability of a lot of cases right now. I'm gonna rock this because you know why I don't have any other cases so for to me, it's a hit, so I can actually start using this phone. Let me know what your thoughts on the comment section hit the subscribe button. We'll see you guys next time you.
