OPPO Reno 6 Pro+ Detective Conan Edition Unboxing [English] By Sami Tech Tips

Hey, what's up? Sami here. Today I'm going to be unboxing something very special. This is not a drawer nor some funny Lego building blocks Actually, it's the packaging for the Oppo Reno 6 Pro+ Detective Conan Edition. They only have 10,000 pcs and only for the Chinese market. And they look really really good! Why not take a closer look with me? Let's get started. So, here is the hand-made customized packaging box that’s inspired by Maori detective firms.

The box is a faithful reproduction of the house which is featured in the film, and looks unique, isn’t it? Have you ever seen a phone that’s packed in this way? Open the top cover, we see a small black box that includes some paperwork, then is the phone, we’ll take a closer look later. Under that are some accessories. You get to see a red case, a custom-made car pin of Detective Conan. Man, it’s all in the details. A red bowknot, and a dedicated pendant.

Not finished yet, there is another layer that has a custom-made charging kit: the type-c cable and a 65W super flash charging adapter. And last is the customized earphones with Conan and Xinlan silhouette. That’s it. Now to the phone. Regarding the design, it stays the same as the Oppo Reno 6 Pro+ regular version.

You get to see the power key on the right side, a noise-canceling mic on the top, and the volume rocker on the left side. Under the bottom is the dual SIM card slot, charging port, and speaker. In case you are curious about the audio quality here it is. What’s really special is the back panel. It sports electrochromic technology which allows you to change its color by double-tapping in the middle area.

The back cover then slowly switches between the Red and Grey hue. That’s truly magic! Another big difference from the standard version is for the Conan edition the company has customized the user interface with the custom Conan theme. The customization of the theme includes more than 70 icons, dial pad, text messages interface, status bar, etc. Further, OPPO is offering 11 more Detective Conan series of themes for the users to choose from. Regarding the hardware specs, it stays exactly the same as the original Reno6 Pro+.

It features a 6.55-inch FHD+ curved-edge flexible AMOLED display and comes with support for a 90Hz refresh rate. Underneath, the device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset. In the camera department, there’s a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 primary sensor, coupled with a 16-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, a 13-megapixel telephoto lens, and a 2-megapixel macro lens. On the front side, there’s a 32-megapixel snapper for taking selfies. Here at Oppo, Cymye and I took several photo and video samples, they are quite usable for sure.

It provides great clarity and true-to-life color. The bokeh effect is great. And it offers great selfie photos as well.
