OnePlus 9 Vs OnePlus 9 pro Charging Speed Test (65T Wired & 50W/15W Wireless Charging With Temps)

Sarah everybody and welcome back to the channel today. I want to talk to you guys about charging speed tests when it comes down to the OnePlus 9 and the OnePlus 9 pro. Both of these devices have 65 watt charging capabilities that are included in the box, but they also support wireless charging, one at 15 watts and one at 50 watts. So today, we're going to do a charging speed test on a wired version between the two, as well as wireless and see which one performs better and, of course, give you guys kind of expectation. If you decide to pick it up to actually see how fast are you going to be able to charge up your device from zero all the way up to a hundred percent? This is TK, and this is my charging speed test of the OnePlus 9 and the OnePlus 9 like and subscribe and make sure you hit that bell icon. So they are always notified too.

Whenever we have new videos on the channel to start off the comparison, we're going to start talking about wireless charging and mostly because this is new to both the OnePlus 9 and the OnePlus 9 pro, the OnePlus 9 never had wireless charging, and now we actually have wireless charging at 15 watts and the 9 pro actually gained a faster charging capabilities of 50 watts. Now, as opposed to the 30 from last year, keep in mind you do need to pick up the new charger for that to work. So that's one of the main requirements for the 9 pro to get that faster charging speed. Um. Now I charge them separately, since I only have one OnePlus the charger from OnePlus and when it comes down to the OnePlus 9 pro to be expected, it's going to obviously charge up at a much faster rate.

Uh. It was actually able to go all the way from one percent, roughly almost zero percent, all the way up to 100 in about roughly about 47 minutes. Now it's advertised to be around 42 minutes or so, but because I left the device on with always on display. This is something to keep in mind, so I felt like this is the worst case scenario. If the phone was on and always on was on, it was also activated that this would be the longest time so consider the fact that if you decide to charge it unplugged, this is definitely going to give you the best experience which is closer to about 42 minutes but 47 minutes.

If you decide to have an always-on display when we look over to the OnePlus 9. Obviously this is where it's going to be a little slower, but it's still considered to be fast wireless charging by the standard of QI or at least most devices on the market, because it's actually charging at 15 watts. Now this one took a little longer about an hour and 29 minutes, but keep in mind again, it's not really going to be the fastest way for us to charge. The brick in the box is going to give us 65 watts, so 47 minutes or so roughly, when always on display on the OnePlus 9 pro and again about an hour and 29 minutes when it comes down to the OnePlus 9 again display on and always on, display now, switching it over to the wire charging, and the reason why I left this to be. The second part is because there was actually a little of a difference here, which I didn't expect to start, and I'll say this by first and foremost, I decided to let the devices both drain down to almost about one percent um and even actually with the OnePlus 9 pro.

It actually died on me, and then I had to give it a boost just to get it back up to one percent. So I feel like almost like the reserve on the OnePlus 9 pro was a little less than the one plus nine, because that one as soon as it hit one percent, I was able to start charging it and as far as the charging speeds, when we start looking at the numbers when it kind of progresses over time um, there was actually a consistent lead with the OnePlus 9 being again, it had a little more juice in there in the reserve at the beginning of it, and essentially when we started about five minutes, we were able to get about twenty-one percent on the pro and twenty-five percent on the one plus nine. When we went up to ten minutes, we were up to forty-two percent and forty-six percent again on the nine and the temperatures were about 94 degrees, Fahrenheit. Now, all the way up to basically 20 minutes. We are basically getting 80 on the OnePlus 9 pro and, of course, 82.

The gap is getting a little smaller in about 30 minutes. The gap got even different now because the 9 pro went up to 99 and then, of course, the nine went up to 98. Now the 9 pro reached 100 at 31 minutes and the nine uh. Well, the nine reached it at 32 minutes, and the main thing here is that the temperatures stayed within the 91 to 94 degrees, Fahrenheit, so nothing too crazy. When it comes down to charging, I was using obviously uh the fastest charging capability, which is essentially the brick that comes with it now, keep in mind that charging brick can also provide uh power, delivery, 45 watt charging to other devices as well as quick charge.

So it's a little more versatile, but the fact of the matter is the OnePlus 9 pro is ever so slightly faster because it started behind and there was a gap all the way up to like roughly about half point when we got to the 80 or so and then after that, it just basically overtook the OnePlus 9. My hope is that you guys found this video helpful in making the decision which one to decide to pick up. If you want to go with the OnePlus 9 or the OnePlus 9 pro wireless charging, I feel like it's a hand down: 50 watts versus 15. , there's no question and the fact that it matter is between wired and wireless. It's literally about a 15-minute difference between the OnePlus 9 pro when it comes down to the charging capabilities, which again very, very fast and the cooling part, is the fact that the device stays cool throughout the entire process.

The charger that consoled by OnePlus has a built-in fan that dissipates the heat, so there's no generated heat or increased heat when you're charging uh. Let me know in the comments below what do you guys think like and subscribe as usual and, of course, there'll be a lot more videos here on the channel for one plus nine and one plus nine content I'll see you guys in the next one.
