My Favorite Razer Phone Case (Tudia Merge)!

Hey guys its ready from our local club, an epic droid, calm, and we're here today to talk about the 2d emerge for the razor phone now before we dive into this review too far. I do want to point out here real quick. This here is their turquoise case and there's a little of nostalgia effect on this. So I was there at the big enjoy barbecue and next bit came out, and they showed off the original next bit Robin, and they had it in one color, and that was this turquoise. This color now for those of you who don't know next bit was the company that razor acquired in order to be able to produce the razor foam. The razor phone is essentially the spiritual predecessor to that next bit Robin.

So it's kind of cool to be able to see this case and to see the next bit Robin look in a much bigger form factor on the razor phone. Now, because turquoise isn't my favorite color, we are going to go ahead, and we're going to use this black one here. We're going to show you guys what that looks like, and so we're going to go ahead, and we're going to take this case apart now that to emerge I really like this case, because it is a bulkier case, but it's not too bulky to the point where it's bulky and making it harder to hold the device. It comes with a slim CPU layer, and then it has this hard plastic shell that holds the CPU in place and provide some additional protection. A lot of the cases that we're seeing for the razor phone right now are pretty much all just a CPU case, so they're just this basic case by themselves.

So this goes one step further provides the additional protection, and it does it without adding that much more bulk than what you see with most of the regular CPU cases that are out there to put this on. You want to go and want to separate the two pieces, and you're gonna. Take the razor phone and I find that it's best to put the volume buttons in first, so you don't cause any damage to them, but you slide them in, and you push it down over now. When you do it, you want to make sure that it goes on all the way, and you do want to make sure, especially on this right side that you get that there, because that power button is recessed, and it's a little harder to use anyways. You want to make sure that you get that, and so it is perfectly on or on perfectly so that you don't have any issues using that once you put the case on now, the first thing I'm going to point out here is this: CPU layer does have a raised bezel along the whole thing here, so that when you set that face down you're not going to be scratching up the surface of the device, so that what you do once you put that face down, you're going to go, and you're going to put this piece on here.

You know hear that nice snap as it goes on, and then we're good to go as you can see there, I mean that black Benz blends in with the CPU very well looks great I, really like the look of it. It's that soft matte black, and it's kind of a gripper feel right here, it's a little grayer than you would expect with that hard plastic. So that's a nice feature. There makes it, so it's a little easier to hold the phone, and you're not going to be dropping it here on the side, we have a couple of cross-hatches that allow us to grip it a little better when we're holding it like this, and here on the side we have. What's probably my favorite feature of the case.

The fingerprint sensor hole has a shallow groove on all sides in order to make it so that you can stick your finger on there, and you can use the fingerprint scanner without having any problems here. On the other side, we do have the volume up and the volume down buttons. There are no issues using those, as you can see there. They have a slight cutout here across the bottom. If we look at it on the other one here, you can see that you can see through those what they do is they have a slight cut out around the top and the bottom of them so that when you're pushing it down, it gives you a better push, and you're not having to worry about impeding the use of the device.

So another nice feature is this extra large cutout for the USB charging port, a lot of the cases that we're seeing a lot of these cheaper CPU cases. This is really snug. So it's a lot harder to use your stock charger that comes with the razor phone or to use any other charger as well, but with this one, it's just wide enough we're able to use just about any USB charger without any issues. Here you also have to cut out for the microphone and then up top you have a cutout for the noise-cancelling mic. Overall, it's a really great case I, really like the look of it I like the feel of it.

It feels very comfortable in the hand- and it does add some additional grip to a phone that is otherwise very slick. So I really like this case and I would definitely recommend it for $13 it's a little more than you would get for one of those cheaper CPU cases, but it's a lot cheaper than you would spend on some of those more expensive, bigger, bulkier cases. So I really like the look of it. It comes in a couple of different colors. We do have that turquoise color, that we saw earlier as well as there's matte black and a few other choices.
