My Experience with iPhone 11 Pro after 6 months!

What is going on Hornets Justin here and today. I've got my six-month review of the iPhone 11 Pro, so this one's kind of be my daily driver. Since a date came out, and I have to say at the time my review. It is the most complete iPhone that has come out to date, and it has fixed many of the issues that we had in the previous generation, but even though I'm very happy with this phone as like a daily driver, I have had my fair share of issues as well and for a phone that costed me over $2000 in Canada and just seems almost unacceptable. So the first and probably the biggest problem that I had was that one day I went to use my phone and the cameras were just not working. The 0.5 was just not there at all, and the menus would default to the 2x and I could go to 1x, but I couldn't go back to 2x and on one of those days it would just be a big blur when you open up the camera app and in addition to that, I also had a problem where, like the YouTube app, would be completely stuck, and I wouldn't be able to navigate anywhere or like restart. My phone for at least a while and I also tried doing like a restore over on the computer, and nothing would show up on the phone when I plugged it in during that kind of YouTube issue.

The phone also overheated to the point where I was getting a little worried. So I got the hardware swapped out, but those are just some of the problems that were relatively major. In my opinion, for a phone of this caliber I'm going to talk a little more about the problems later in this video, but honestly in general, I've had a pretty good experience with this device. I'm also going to be talking a little about how this phone compares to some 20/20 releases that have just come out. I.

Think one of the biggest problems in the previous generation was that the battery just didn't really seem to last an entire day for power users. I know this is a problem that is probably narrowed down to a smaller amount of the population. But if somebody uses my phone for I'd say about 9 to 10 hours a day for work and for watching videos and just everything that I do kind of centralizes around a phone and a computer, the previous generations just didn't last me I, would use like the Apple battery case. I would charge it twice a day which was okay, but for a phone of the size you would have liked for it to last an entire day and I can say the 11pro does get me just around to the end of the day and around 9 p. m.

is when I'd hit the 20% mark. This is all with about 9 to 10 hours of screen on time and I usually have it just charging on a pixel stand at my desk when I can the performance of the phone is also being very good, and that is as expected. Apple's chipsets have never had a problem in handling daily tasks, Gaming and also some photo and video editing, and although I'm not like the biggest gamer on a phone, I do have a lot of photos that I just import here. I edit, the rosin Lightroom and actually most of my photo editing, is done from a smartphone I think another aspect that Apple has really improved on and done. An excellent job, though, is the camera.

You have a triple camera setup on the back. All three are 12 megapixels, but all three of them are very consistent and calibrated to each other in terms of color temperature. That is a huge issue that I noticed on other phones that I tested out last year. The main camera is obviously perfect. The dynamic range is excellent.

The highlight roll-off is great. The HDR also does do a great job, and the 2x camera also saw some improvements with the F 2.0 camera compared to F 2.4. So that is all nice to see, and the wide camera is also pretty solid as well, but obviously not as good as the other. Two video recording is still some of the best on the market, but even when you compared to like Samsung super steady mode, which is locked to 1080p I found that the iPhone stabilization performance was almost the same, if not better, from looking at some 20/20 phones, so like the Samsung Galaxy S 20 ultra, though the biggest area that you notice that the iPhone is very much kind of behind on is the detail when you zoom all the way into these images. The resolution of 12 megapixels in some cases when you crop in and stuff just isn't there I think that is where I saw the biggest hardware advantage in 2020 phones and I know a lot of people aren't going to be cropping into their phone images and rescaling, but it is still something that is nice to have.

I also find the photos on this. Camera are very easy to edit there's a ton of latitude and with Android phones that are much more processed in their image. When you go to edit them, you will notice that it is essentially like trying to add a filter on top of a filter. The iPhone actually holds up really well to editing, and obviously, if you compare it to like a real camera, you're going to notice that the amount of artifacts and loss in detail is significantly less, but for a phone I'm very happy with this. Some of the other things that I notice, though, is that the speakers on this phone are excellent when compared to other phones, I found that they may be a little louder, but in terms of sound quality, it is very balanced and Apple has really put a focus in speaker technology in the computer side, and it's also been kind of brought over with some small improvements over the years to their phones.

Others, though, I've been pretty happy with this phone and don't really have any plans to switch anytime soon, but some of the things that I would like to see on the iPhone 12 is a hundred and twenty Hertz, or even just ninety Hertz, because after using phones that have had 120, Hertz or even just like a higher refresh rate in general, 60 just doesn't feel exactly the same, and it just really sounds like a first-world problem. But for phone to this price I feel like we do have the right to kind of request things that we want to see just general speed and reliability, though, and my satisfaction with the camera has definitely been there and as a daily driver. I feel like this is the happiest that I've been with the phone until I started, having some issues with it that just really pissed me off. So phones can obviously range in like many price points, from like hundreds of dollars over to thousands of dollars. But when you spend this amount of money on the phone, you are planning to use it a lot and really rely on it.

For your business, as well as like just watching and everything on it, so the issue that experienced with it was with the camera and that couldn't have been more annoying because I have 20,000 photos on my phone and I. Take a ton of photos on this. I. Take all the Instagram stories tweets and stuff at events and when I travel. Most of the things are done on my phone, but recently I did pick up a Fuji x100s, then just whipping out my phone and being lazy.

But one day I was just like watching. TV and I was going to like pick up my phone and send a clip to a friend of like a hockey game that was going on as I usually would and the camera just had some issues opening it would take a few seconds, and it would go into a blur and I would wonder why, so I started like restarting the app I opened it up again, and the secondary camera would show up, and then it would go to the first. But then I wouldn't be able to go back to the second, and the zero-point-five was just nowhere to be seen, ended up going into the settings and just resetting all the settings on the phone and I also went to every single app that utilized the camera and disabled it in case it could have been like an another app that was glitching it out, but I stole the problems so after being very annoyed for quite a while, I ended up calling Apple and I needed a phone right away just because they use it for work, so the Press replacement was sent out and this phone ended up going to Apple where they tried to figure out what was going on with it. But then, after that, I got a call from Apple, which seemed like every other day from the 1-800 number from Apple Care trying to get some more information of the device, and that is totally fine. I think it's fair.

That I should give my opinion on what was going on and help them maybe solve the issue because, like I said, a phone like this shouldn't have that problem. I answered all the questions for like 10 minutes and just told them exactly what I was having an issue with, as well as what I tried to fix it, because I have quite a bit of experience in tech and I feel like I, took the measures to try to figure out the problem before calling Apple it's kind of like last resort. They ended up calling like every single day after that to get like a follow-up, question and stuff, and I'm kind of busy. So, throughout the day, I kept missing the calls, and even to this day, like three weeks later, I'm still getting emails and calls every day from Apple Care. For those who may be wondering if I dropped, my phone, though or if any physical damage was associated with it, though I've been using this Apple silicone case with my device since the very first day that I got it and I don't really leave the house.

So enough said: Apple ended up for funding my deposit for this new phone, so I assumed that the problem was associated to a combination of hardware and software. I've honestly had like a mix experience with apples like replacement, program and warranty. Lately, though, and in the past, it was really, really good. It was almost like a no-questions-asked policy, but in the past few years I've had issues such as my MacBook being in the Apple Store for six days and them not knowing how to fix it, but they did end up kind of making right gave me a brand-new computer. That was a newer generation, so always good.

But then I also had a situation with my iPad, where there was a dead pixel in the top left corner and I noticed that while I was on the plane just like watching some Netflix and I sent it off to Apple, because I don't have an Apple Store in the city that I live in. You have to take a ferry to get to one, and they sent it back without repairing anything. They just said there is nothing wrong with it when it was very clear that if he looked at the screen, there was a patch of dead pixels on a corner, so it's kind of been a mixed bag. I know they've been more into diagnostics and fixing things that way, but that's just kind of my experience, but otherwise I really hope you guys enjoyed this video of kind of my six-month review of the iPhone 11 Pro and if you guys have any questions, make sure you drop them down below, and I'll see you all in my next video.
