Meizu Pro 6 Plus Unboxing & Hands-On

Hi I'm Michael, Josh and you're watching Gabby's match it's not every day that we unbox a phone from a manufacturer that we haven't really covered before, but that's happening today. These folk are the pro vi plus from Mizzou for the uninitiated. Mizzou is a Chinese smartphone brand and outside its home base in China. It is also quite popular in Russia, some parts of Europe, including France and Italy in now, slowly rolling out across Southeast, Asia and India. This phone is their flagship model and what better way to get an introduction to Mizzou by taking a look at the best they have to offer. This is our maze pro 6, plus unboxing and hands on this.

Is the m5s made these entry-level smartphone, and this is the pro 6 plus, as you can see, from the packaging alone, this is a more premium flagship model. Okay, now, let's unbox this baby, that's more like it. Let's open up the box, wow, that's pretty cool! First up, of course, the maze pro six plus we have the gold phone with a white face, set it aside for later. First out of the box is this little packet with the SIM tray, ejector tool that says fly me, maybe I sort of like this cloud, cutout and also inside this packet warranty card and Quick Start Guide, there's a second little box over here where we've been duped. Folks, earphones, not included.

This is pretty standard, a USB charger lb, it's a rather large one, and the circular thing over here is a fancy way to package the USB type-c cable. While all these accessories are nice and all one complaint is the lack of a case for a phone that doesn't really have a wide third party accessory ecosystem. It would be nice to have a case bundled just like we've seen from other Chinese. Smartphone manufacturers disappear. Okay.

Now, let's take a closer look at this phone first impressions: it does look good, it does feel premium, but it's not necessarily original. We've seen this phone from a lot of Chinese manufacturers before it sort of looks like a cross between an iPhone and a Samsung phone. Now, let's peel off this plastic and is Taken that looks really nice and now for the front. Hey guys, I, don't know what the other models look like, but in this gold version you have gold accents around the home button and the earpiece over here on its back, you have a metal build with an antenna band that kind of curves with its sides. Just ever so slightly I actually do like its thinness to size ratio.

The camera also has that gold accent around it and underneath is actually a sensor for the camera and around that refresh button. Import placements are like this: on the left hand, side of the device, a volume, rocker and power button on the bottom, headphone jack, microphone, USB, type-c, port and speaker grilles and, on the left hand, side a dual NATO SIM card tray. There are no provisions for a micro SD card, but the phone comes with 64 gigabytes of storage. While the phone power is up, please roll the spec sheet Congrats the setting is completed. I, don't know, that's proper English setup is complete, is probably what they meant.

Let's start using the icons are unevenly shaped, but they look kind of cute. It's a very clean interface. Now, while the pro 6 plus is an Android smartphone, it is, unlike any other Android smartphone, that we've come across one big difference. If you look closely, it doesn't have the Google Play Store, this phone you see, was primarily intended for the Chinese market and, as we all know, Google and China don't get along really well, however, that can be resolved by going into the hot apps, app and search for Google search, other store, app and look for the Google apps installer and go ahead and install that now, while that's happening, let's take a look at the rest of the interface. If you swipe down from anywhere on the screen, it brings down the notification shade and the quick settings panel.

If you swipe up from the bottom of the phone you get, multitasking new applications go directly to the home screen and if you have the Google apps installer installed, it will begin installing all the other google apps that you need, including the Play Store. The second thing is that there is no on-screen back button. All the functionality is built-in to the home button. If you long press, you turn the display off when you're in an app, you can press down on the home button to go home, and you can just like tap to go back if you're wondering where the maze pro 6 plus fits in with other smartphones, take a look at it screen size at 5.7 inches. It has a screen that is larger than the iPhone 7 plus, but they're roughly the same size, but the comparisons are better made to Samsung's Galaxy S7 edge.

Both phones have the same Super AMOLED display and the same Samsung made Enos processor despite its size. The phone is liked, making it relatively easier to hold in one hand perfect for when you're on a call or taking a selfie. The camera is also no such just take a look at these photos. It has great dynamic range and doesn't put job balancing, highlights and shadows, but where the phone really shines is with its slimy. UI optimization is great.

Despite not being stock Android like the phone itself, it feels light and easy to use, and it has nifty features ? like identifying apps. That can only be opened if you use the fingerprint reader hooray for security and privacy, and that was our maze pro 6, plus unboxing and hands off for more videos like this one make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel, like our Facebook page, follow gadget, match on social media and make gadget mat com your daily habit until the next video.
