MAIN REASONS iPhone 12 is trash! – Review, Apple, CNET, iOS 14, iPad Air 4, News, Unbox Therapy

Hey guys welcome back to trendy gadget today we'll talk about why the iPhone 12 series is trash, let's head into it, number five outdated design. It's already been three years since the release of the controversial iPhone x, while they're criticized for influencing the entire smartphone world to create a so-called ultra device that go beyond the 1 000 price point, but apple seems purely keen on its design. Judging by the fact that the iPhone 12 still uses it mostly unchanged, in fact, at first glance of the iPhone 12 Pro and pro max, they look exactly like their iPhone 11 predecessor counterparts, or it's not for the additional, lighter camera. Then there is also the fact that the iPhone 12 series has adopted a very boxy like design, extremely reminiscent of the iPhone 5 from 2012. While some fans seem to enjoy this throwback. A lot of people are unhappy for being sold a phone that looks so outdated and criticize apple.

For this decision number four they come without a charger or AirPods in the box. Apple is known for removing features from the iPhone and then selling them separately, one infamous example, being the removal of the 3.5 millimeter jack from the iPhone 7, which happened merely three months before the release of the wireless AirPods. Therefore, we can only speculate about the marketing strategy beyond the removal of these key accessories. Sure apple claims they removed them in order to reduce e-waste and save the environment, but that is just really hard to believe. Their argument is that almost everyone has a charger or a pair of headphones lying around their house, so they would have no use for a new one.

Thus, the only accessory included in the box is an USB to lightning cable. Now, that is the major problem, all iPhone chargers up until the iPhone 11 Pro and pro max regular 11, not included, have an USB-C connector, rendering the included USB-C to lightning cable useless for the majority of iPhone 12 buyers. Besides that, the official apple branded lightning cables have a notorious reputation for wearing down in short periods of time. Also, the iPhone 12 supports fast charging. So by not including any kind of charger in the box, the users will be more inclined to pay the extra money and go straight for the fast charger.

There is also the issue that apple continues stubbornly using their proprietary lightning connector, instead of switching to the standard USB-C as everyone else and actually contribute towards preventing e-waste that way, but this could be a topic for a whole. Other video number, 3 60hz refresh rate in the last year, high refresh rate has become a must-have feature for all flagship smartphones. It gives the user much more pleasant experience, making all animations look smoother and contributing towards a generally snappy feeling for the phone. Such examples are the Samsung Galaxy s20 and note 20 series that offer 120 hertz refresh rates with the latter even having the option to dynamically adapt its refresh rate based on the content displayed or the ASUS ROG phone 3, which takes it even further, with a 144hz AMOLED display. Even mid-range devices such as the OnePlus word have adopted 90hz refresh rates, so Apple has no excuse for sticking with the 60hz on their premium.

iPhone 12 series, number 2, underwhelming benchmarks apple, has the reputation of providing the fastest and most efficient chips in their products, but this year they failed to impress sure the a14 bionic might be created on the new five nanometer process, but some early nt2 scores played even below the snapdragon 865, which almost all android flagships use with the 5 nanometer snapdragon 875 on its way to be announced in the very near future. For those who don't know, nc2 is an intensive benchmark that stresses all the main components of a smartphone, CPU, GPU memory and user interface, the iPhone 12 and 12 port score around 570 000, while gaming phones with optimized clock speeds and cooling solutions such as the ASUS ROG phone 3 or the Nubia red magic, 5g score upwards of 630 000 and normal flagships. Like the snapdragon variants, the Galaxy Note 20 series score around 590 to 600 000. The overall specs are also not impressive, with the regular iPhone 12 and 12 mini having just 4 gigabytes of ram and the pro variants gaining an additional 2 gigabytes. While the android competition can reach upwards of 16 gigabytes of ram as much as iOS might be optimized.

The hardware limit can never be solved through software number one. It's overpriced like every iPhone since the iPhone x or pretty much any other apple product. The price has significantly gone up. Reaching numbers, never thought acceptable before the iPhone 12 Pro and pro max start at 1, 000 and 1100 respectively. But that is the price for the base models with just 128 gigabytes of internal storage and no option for expandable memory.

Keep in mind that, besides the cost for the device, you will have to pay extra for accessories because, as mentioned in the beginning of the video, they are missing from the box, but hey some might say they resist the iPhone 12 mini and the regular iPhone 12, and they are budget friendly. But to that I have to say, let's check the spec sheet. The mini starts from 700, while the regular 12 has a base price of 800. For that you lose half of the base internal memory going down to just 64 gigabytes, while also losing a third of the ram, bringing it down to a mere four gigabytes. That is simply not enough in 2020, let alone in the future.

Furthermore, these two models also lose the telephoto and the lighter cameras making them almost indistinguishable from the regular iPhone 11 from last year. Therefore, as much as some apple fans hate to admit in every price point, there are better alternatives from the ever-growing and ever-improving android competition. So what do you think about the iPhone 12 lineup? Do you plan to buy one in the near future? This brings us to the end of our video.
