M1 iPAD PRO 2021 for GAMING By Darren McHardy

So one of the great features about the new iPad is available to connect to Xbox and PlayStation controllers when on the go playing games, so I'm going to be testing out a few different games today on the iPad Pro see how it actually performs what that experience is like and if it's worth actually playing it on a screen like this, let's get into the video okay. So the first thing we need to do is connect the actual controller to the iPad. So it's really easy to do so. All you want to do is hold down the actual turn. The controller on go into your actual settings hold down that button, and it should automatically connect if you've not actually done it before. You can just hold down this button on the top here, hold it for three seconds that will start flashing and then in other devices, click on it, and you can see now Xbox wires controller connected.

So that's now connected all you need to do having a big screen like this, it's great to be able to play some games, so we're going to play NBA we're going to play sonic, and then we're going to actually connect to the Xbox and put Fortnite on and see how they perform. So, first, let's just load up sonic racing. This is a really cool game. Actually it's a bit like Mario Kart but more modern, and it's a lot of fun. So, let's just see how that performs.

So, as you can see from this screen, it's a really nice and bright vibrant screen. It's excellent, and you can play this on the go wherever you are. You can have it on a case like I've got here, or you know you can just use it and prop it up, but a case obviously just add to that experience a bit more, but the actual. What I'm looking at now is the screen. The sound, but just this is great.

This looks like I'm playing it on a console not on an iPad. It's brilliant, I'm not the best at this game. Yet I've only played it a few times, but I do like it, and it is very similar and has the same vibes to Mario Kart. Give me a bit of practice on this. I should hopefully be doing a little better, but it's a lot of fun.

This is on Apple Arcade um. You can get a free trial of this and then see how you feel with it. But this performs excellent. There's no lag, there's no stuttering, it doesn't affect the battery life. I am actually screen recording as well at the same time on the iPad, and it's got no problems whatsoever.

There's no lag, no stuttering, nothing! Okay! The next thing I'm gonna load up is NBA. This is great. It's on Apple Arcade again, and this looks just like you're playing on a console, but we're playing on a large 12.9-inch screen on iPad, or so this can only get better. You can play this as well on the Apple TV, but you can use your controller just like you would. If this was connected to your console, you've got full controls.

You can do multiplayer online as well. We're just going to do a quick exhibition match, so, let's get straight into it, press play, and it will load, and it loads pretty fast as well. Considering this is a large filed game. It's about four gigabytes, this game. Look at them, graphics, these just this is an iPad.

We need to remember this: isn't an Xbox! It's not PlayStation and you're. Getting graphics like this and just be able to rock up and play this, and it's such a great experience, whereas a laptop you're not going to get the graphic performance of this that screen. It's just amazing anyway, let's get into it, and you'll just see how bad I am currently at this game, but I'm practicing, and I'm getting a bit better, but the idea is just to show you again with its screen recording. There is no lag on this at all, so you're going to have great fun playing this. Hopefully you'll be able to play it um and be better than I am.

But what do you think about the actual graphics of this can't go wrong? If I saw someone playing this I'd be like that is an on an iPad can only get better as well, but what about, though, if you connect up to your Xbox? So now I'm going to be connecting direct to my Xbox, which is inside the house, I'm going to stream a game online with multiplayer on this okay. So I'm loading up now the Xbox app and then in the top corner. You can just click on remote play on this device, and you click on that click continue again just says you need a perfect connection, so, if you're using it via Wi-Fi, maybe upstairs from a different room away from your console or when you're on 4g or 5g, then that's going to be good enough, and then I'm going to actually look on the performance again on this to see. Is there any stuttering as any lag, because on my old iPad, sometimes you know there was a bit of lag with it. It wasn't really crisp and really fast, but this, hopefully should be better.

So, let's load up the first game: okay, so Fortnite needs quite a large update, so we're going to actually put war zone on. Instead, this is going to be just to see how this performs now on the iPad and see what this is like. Hopefully, we shouldn't have any lag. If there's going to be lagged on here, it's probably going to be due to the signal, but I'm actually seeing if it, and it performs well on here any crashing, don't forget! This is also screen recording as well. So it's putting a lot of absolute pressure onto the iPad, so, let's see how it performs, let's get into it, okay, so it's just beginning now: who's bought the die hard or the Rambo bundle.

Tell you what I'm tempted. Let's get into this now gonna, do a really quick short preview of what this looks like see. If there's any lag, any problems, and I'll keep switching between the screen recording view, and this actual view now, but I cannot tell you about an experience of playing this. This is great, so being in the UK, we don't have the fastest internet, but this is more than playable I'll. Just before I get shot I'll just show you this there's literally no lag when I press that button it actually shoots.

So it's more than good enough this. You could have great fun playing on this. Oh, god there's a person here. I don't know he's on my team. It's fine, but this is works.

Well, look and the graphics are good and this is via a stream. So if you want to play a game online, then you can do the graphics aren't going to be as good as when you're going to play a game offline, but that's obvious because we are streaming it, but the iPad Pro is able to perform so brilliantly when playing a game like this. There is a little of cutout, as you just saw there, but that's all because of this. If I was closer to my router, you know- or I had a faster internet connection- you wouldn't have that, but performance wise. The iPad is not warm in the slightest because it's finless, you know, there are no fans going.

So it's you can play games like this and have fun on it. Just rock up at some parks get your iPad out get controller. You can play on this game with your mates, it's absolutely brilliant. So that's us a preview guys that you can actually play games on this really easily. We've still got 94 percent battery, so we've hardly lost any battery at all playing that game playing them.

Other games as well. I've not charged the battery in between that at all. It's great, and it's such a great experience in playing on something like this with the controller. So you can take this out with you. You don't have to use this keyboard if you don't want to, but this just adds to the whole experience and the iPad is not warm in the slightest.

It's still really nice and cool, and I can just put it back onto here, and then I can fold it up and now get on with some work. Absolutely brilliant, and this performs great. So if you are into gaming, and you like playing games, but you also want an iPad to edit on to watch movies films using Netflix something then this could be a great setup for you. This is something you can't really do on a laptop, because even if you've got like a MacBook Pro, you can't get the Xbox app. You can't stream games on there.

You can't get as many apps on an actual laptop you're more restricted, whereas on this it's better great fun.
