LG Velvet | Is the battery life good? #LGVelvet

All right guys welcome back to another video with your man jay. So today we're going to be talking about the battery life on the lg velvet. I've actually tested this device with the battery case and without the battery case and the just of it is just going to be the same performance as the v60, meaning you don't get as long of standby time, but you still get pretty good decent uh screen on time uh, but you, the case, is gonna, make the phone drain a little faster, so um I was able to get, I think, seven hours of screen on time with the um case itself, uh connected with the dual screen and that's with some heavy use. I promise you I have used this dual and I just took it off for the purpose of this video. Furthermore, I can only keep that on uh if I'm not rocking the case or whatever the other additional case uh, but I got to tell you the phone itself does pretty good overall getting about with the case now. The phone is kind of settling in I'm getting between five and seven hours of screen on time with the case and between 13 and 22 hours in total, with wearing this case full time so um.

I think that, and I did some screenshots here um. I think that uh in this screenshot right here I was at three and a half hours just about with eight hours and eight hours left uh. So I just kind of was grabbing random screenshots throughout the day uh any day that I would use this phone uh and roughly getting just over seven uh hours of screen on time with, with the case itself, there is, without the case, I'm getting about the same same same screen, one time, uh, five to eight hours around the time, possibly but just longer standby time and again, that's what I'm saying it's about the same way with this device. But the difference is this device has a 5 000 William battery inside, and I can easily get 12 hours uh without the case, and I've done um extensive testing. I guess in a short time of having this maybe a week or so it's been a banner, so I don't know uh, but the battery life is good.

Now I think this has the 4300mah battery inside. So its optimization is key um, but for some reason, obviously you know I'm on it a bunch, I'm not getting 10 hours of screen on time, but I guess I'm not mad at that, because the device is so nice that five to eight hours or six to eight hours without the case in five to seven hours with the case is good enough. I like it, I like it a lot. I like the performance and everything that the device gives, and I just think it's a win overall for the battery uh, it's uh, it's a nice package. Furthermore, I think that if you have um the case, you'll, you'll probably enjoy it a lot better, and you're coming for somebody.

That's coming from someone who had the v60 on the single version like no case first, and I heavily enjoyed the phone, and you know the best part about this- is you don't have to wear this case? You can take it off. You can buy your own um case. If you want to, you can do what you want to do with this, but I think having the case is a huge benefit, and you're just really going to love having the case on here. So the case obviously is going to make the phone drain a little faster than normal uh, but this is what the phone is all about. To me.

This is what the phone is all about. Having this dual screen set up, you know using it in a kickstand form to watch movies or using it this way to record videos. You know if you want to sit up somewhere, you can use a front camera for a vlog or the back camera to shoot a video or something, and so this phone or, if you don't, do it like that, you can do it like this. You can have any kind of way you can think of temp mode, whatever you can think of to watch your video, I think that'll make you happy. This phone can do it, because this hinge is really strong and some people frown on this hinge or whatever.

But I think this is what makes people who are you knowing buying this device. You know they're they're, looking at it in that fashion, they want a second screen. They want to get the full functionality of this phone and having the dual screen setup gives you the full functionality of this phone. So you know the battery life on this thing is absolutely decent for what it is. It's not the best for sure, but having five to seven hours of screen on time with the case, I'm fine with that it charges really fast too.

In my usage uh within an hour and 20 minutes or hour and 10 minutes, I'm back at 100, and I've been using the little adapter thing on here, and sometimes I'll, take it off and plug it right into type c uh. But lately I've been wearing this case a lot more. Instead of wearing the individual cases, because I think this is the personality of the lg velvet- this is what the velvet is about. This is what the v60 is about, having the dual screen having them both. That is what these phones are about, and I think this direction of being able to take the screen off.

I honestly frowned on it at first, but man, I'm I'm loving it man, I's difficult not to use the dual screen once you start using this dual screen, you'll get used to it, especially on the velvet, because it's a thinner phone, and so overall this case it feels better believe it or not it's hard to believe, but this phone is much heavier than the velvet uh with and without the case I mean I've always said it that the v60 was a huge phone. In this case, it's just a little bigger um, and you probably can't tell too much on video, but this is bigger. Uh, a bigger footprint than the velvet and the velvet has the same size screen, and that's because the velvet has a curved screen uh, so if it's just built a little better. You can kind of see along this side of the case right here that it proves true that you know that curved screen really kind of helps, make the phone feel a little thinner. But, overall you know the footprint of both of these are very close, but this phone is super heavy compared to the velvet, and for those of you that have both these combinations right here speak up in the comments, and let me know what you think the velvet is a much better feeling device in the hand, so the case, if it had had a battery case if this was like a thousand William hour battery in here somewhere, stuffed a real thin anything that would have been over the top.

It would have been so nice, but it's not so battery life on here is very good. It's decent man, I don't think you'll, be too disappointed with the battery and remember battery depends on you what you're doing with the device so keep that in mind anyway. Furthermore, it's your man, j, quick discussion on the battery hope you guys enjoyed, and I'll see you in the next one. Take care.
