How's it going YouTube welcome to another episode of 6e TV. Today we're going to be doing a comparison between the OnePlus bait and the LG the 60. Now both of these devices are pretty close as far as spec wise. They are closer than you think they are perfect devices. None of them are by any means crappy. They are both really, really good phones, especially for the price point they are both $6.99 well, do LG is $7.99, but a really, really nice priced phones, and you get a lot of bang for your buck, so we're going to go ahead and go through the specs I'll show you a couple of pictures to compare the cameras as far as how they look and things like that, and then we're going to go ahead and just compare them as far as specs goes, which phone has what which phone doesn't have. You know, features and things like that, so let's go ahead and get started.
So, as you can see, both of these are really, really excellent. Looking devices I'm going to go ahead and clean them off really quick. Just for you guys. They are definitely fingerprint magnets. The OnePlus is more of a fingerprint than the LG, but as far as this play goes, they are both really, really nice size displays, and they look really, really good.
As far as quality we're going to go ahead and start off with the LG be sixty-six point. Eight inches, P OLED display resolution of 1080p by twenty-four sixty, and you got three hundred and ninety-five pixels per inch on that apartment. HDR 10 plus, is supported, Gorilla Glass five on the front and on the back, and you also do get and always-on display, as you can see right there, so really, really nice in the display Department on the LG going over to the OnePlus, you get a six point. Five inch fluid AMOLED display 1080p by 2400 with the pixel density of 402. So you do to get a little more pixels per inch over here on the OnePlus, but the resolution is higher on elegy v60, coming in at 1080p by 2460.
So very. You can't really notice the difference on both of them. I notice, the LG looks a little sharper and some like websites and pictures, and things like that, then the OnePlus, but the OnePlus does get 10, does tend to get a little brighter than the LG as far as brightness goes. So really. Nice displays no always-on display on the OnePlus, but you do get a 90 Hertz refresh rate, which is definitely a step-up from the regular 60 Hertz on the LG.
These 60, as you can see, right here, which is sad that the LG did not include a 90 Hertz refresh rate is stuck at 60 but as far as noticing a difference, I definitely prefer to OnePlus smoothness over the LG. That's just my opinion. As far as size goes on body, the LG is a six point: six seven inches from top to bottom three point: zero six inches wide, and it is 0.35 inches thick. So it is definitely a thicker phone and a bigger phone than v1, plus, probably because of that battery in there. But it is a really, really big phone compared to one plus, not too much of a difference, but it is definitely a chunker overflowing.
You definitely feel it in the weight. The weight department is going to be seven point: six, nine ounces. It is mi LST, d810, G compliant, which means it is a drop protection, military-grade drop protection, ip68 water and dust resistant on the LG. So really, really good. Specs there on the LG's moving on over to the one plus, you got a weight of six point: three five ounces.
So it's definitely a lighter phone compared to the LG. You do get ip68 water and dust resistance on the carriers, only I believe it is specified on the like T-Mobile. It does specify that this does have an IP 68 water resistance, so they probably do that on the carriers only not for one plus, which is weird so both water resistance, no military, drop protection over here, but as far as the body of the phone and a few of them, they are both perfect. I probably prefer to OnePlus just because it feels slimmer and a lot lighter and just more comfortable to hold in Behan 6.31, like I, said tall 2.8, 7, inches wide and point 3 1 inches thick, so you could definitely tell it is a thinner phone, and it is a little of a smaller phone, a lot easier to handle in the hands and, like I said I, prefer this one a lot more. It feels nicer and it feels smoother.
Then the chunkier LAB 60 but, like I, said both excellent build qualities. They do not skip out on the materials Gorilla Glass 5 again over here on the OnePlus. Both of these phones are running Android 10 out of the box LG as its own ux9 I believe I'm, not sure the version of it, but it is definitely LG's skin, which I kind of do not prefer I prefer OnePlus is oxygen. Os both have the snapdragon 865 5g, which means they are both 5g compatible. These are both team mobile phones that they both work.
I turn off 5g, just because I guess my work in my home area. Don't really have great 5g I find myself constantly connect being between 4G or LTE and 5g at both places, so I just go ahead and turn it off and plus it's a definitely a huge battery saver snapdragon 865 5 gm, both from at Reno 650 GPUs on both of them as well going on over to the RAM. They both have 8 gigabytes of RAM and they both have 128 gigabytes of internal storage. The LG r over here does have micro, SD card expansion with u FS, 2.0 storage, while over here on the one plus you get UFS 3.0 storage, which is a little faster reading as far as transferring files and things like that. But you do not get a micros card expansion as far as cameras go I'm gonna, be you're, gonna, be seen, seen some pictures flash on your screen as far as comparisons between the two different cameras on here.
They both have really, really excellent camera apps and they both take perfect pictures. In my opinion, there's really no complaints, but I'm, probably gonna, go ahead and say that the LG probably does have the better camera system set up over here and as far as taking cameras, it does produce pictures a lot better than the OnePlus. But it's not that much of a difference. They both take perfect pictures. OnePlus definitely stepped it up this year and their pictures are definitely better than the ones on the OnePlus 7 pro we'll go ahead and start with the lab 60.
You get a 64 megapixel main primary sensor with an aperture of f1. You get a 13 megapixel with an aperture of 1.9. That is going to be your ultra-wide, and you do have your time-of-flight sensor over here. I'm, not sure the megapixels I believe it's 2, megapixel time-of-flight, and it does support HDR 10 recording on here, and you do have the ability to record 1080p, 60, 30, 4k, 60/30 and 8k 30 frames per second on the LG. So that's pretty cool I'd never really use the 8k video recording a lot just because a lot of devices aren't supported by it, but it definitely does take perfect video and perfect pictures like I said you'll be seeing some pictures flash on your screen going on over to the one plus you get a 48 megapixel main sensor with an aperture of f-18, a 16 megapixel ultra-wide aperture of 2.2, and then you get a 2 megapixel macro lens with an aperture of 2.4, which the kind of useless I really don't use the macro lens and had two megapixels. It's really not that great, so I wish they could have included a telephoto lens or just nothing at all.
The LG does have just two cameras technically plus that time-of-flight one plus, should it did that on their device. Going on over to the front-facing camera, the LG does have a 10 megapixel front facing camera with an aperture of 1.9, and it is capable of 4k 30 frames per second, while on the OnePlus you do get a 16 megapixel aperture of f2, but it does cap out at 1080p 30 frames per second. So a bigger sensor on the OnePlus you're able to record up to 4k on the LG is 60. Both of them, like I, said, take excellent pictures, no complaints here with you know either one of these cameras. You will be pleased on whichever phone you decide to get going on over to the sound and sound settings both of these offers.
Stereo speakers the LG over here does offer a 32 bit. Quad DAC onboard Anna does offer a headphone jack, which is really, really nice. Let's go ahead and go into some sound quality and effects and, as you can see right here, you do have sound quality. You do have LG 3ds sound engine and, of course, when you plug in some headphones, you do have sound options for that. HIFI back onboard, like I, said headphone jack over here on the LG stereo speakers.
Both of these sound really, really great. As far as speaker, quality goes sound quality a little better on the LG, then the OnePlus as far as Bluetooth and, of course, plugging in headphones, but the OnePlus definitely does still sound, really, really good over here on the OnePlus. You do get stereo speakers as well earpiece and then at the bottom, no headphone jack. Unfortunately, but you do have Dolby Atmos on here, so you could control dynamic, movie and music. So really, really nice, like I, said both of these phones have perfect options as far as audio, but if you're definitely an audiophile I would suggest going with the LG just because you kept that quad DAC and just better sound processing over here on the lg compared to the OnePlus, but, like I, said, if you're just looking for a really great sounding phone, both of these sound excellent in the audio department.
As far as speakers and Bluetooth quality goes as far as battery life, the LG does have a five thousand William hour battery with quick charge.4.0 I believe it is twenty or twenty-five watt charging, and it does have wireless charging. So you can charge this on a wireless charger which is really, really nice and really convenient quick charge 4.0. So that's definitely a step-up from what they usually do, and it does start really fast, fast enough over here on the 1 plus, you get a 4300 William hour battery walk charge, 30 T, which means it will charge a little faster, actually a lot faster than the LG about 50% of a charge in 22 minutes. No wireless charging, unfortunately, on the regular OnePlus, just D, 1, plus 8 Pro, which I think they should have included wireless charging because come on how much more expensive with a tab in it really would not have been that much more expensive. They should have done it.
It would have been really, really nice. Well, you do get faster charger speeds over here on the OnePlus than you do on the LG, but the LG does come in with wireless charging, while the OnePlus does have faster wired charging, so it's definitely a win-win on each one. They both have the wins. They both have the losses. It's a lot going on with these two devices as far as one having one thing and the other one, not but really, really nice excellent battery life on both of these, the LG definitely can get you a day and a half, probably even two days on light usage, while the OnePlus kit probably gets you about a day and a half.
So a perfect battery life turn on 5g people. You do not need it I, yes, right now, the LG definitely has more of a hit using 5g, probably about a 30% hit or a 40% decrease in battery life. All that OnePlus is probably about a 20%. They do definitely rain a lot quicker using 5g on these devices, which is definitely I, guess a bad thing. My settings are off.
Okay, it's sorry guys, but a really. Nice really excellent battery life on both of these, you will not be disappointed as far as features go. They both have and display fingerprint sensors on both of these. As you can see right here, the OnePlus is definitely a lot quicker than the LG and when it comes down to fingerprint unlocking, but the LG has gotten a lot quicker with this latest update that it was pushed out for it, but definitely in d1 plus is a lot more reliable and just quicker. As you can see right there, it is a little more annoying on the LG to unlock.
They are both optical fingerprint sensor, no facial recognition on the LG, so that makes it a little harder to get into it. When your fingerprint is not being read, that's definitely an annoyance for me. I prefer face unlock. The OnePlus definitely does have faced unlock, so you can't unlock it just by looking at your phone, it all and walk, and then you're good to go while DLG. If it doesn't read your fingerprint, you got to type in a password, and it is definitely a little more annoying on the LG front.
Unless you keep smart lock on that way, it keeps your phone unlocked. You know when you have it connected to a Bluetooth device which what I do so yeah. Facial recognition is not on the LG v 60, but it is on the OnePlus. So that is a win for the OnePlus as far as features go, definitely include facial recognition on your phones, people, USB, type-c 3.1 on the LG v, 60 USB type-c 3.1 on the OnePlus as well Bluetooth 5.1 on the OnePlus. While she is sticking with Bluetooth 5.0, you do get a 24-bit, auto audio recording on the elegy as far as using their recording app, which is really, really nice. You do get really, really high quality audio recording on here.
If I can find it HD audio recording, which is perfect. If you want to do some recordings- or you know, you teach a class or something or if you want to go to a concert and record some music, you definitely have a lot more options over here on the lg one plus, not sure if they include an audio recording, app or not, but definitely more options on the LG, like I, say a Bluetooth 5.1 over here, 5.0 sorry, Lucy, 5.1 I'm, getting my phone's confused on the OnePlus 5.0 on the LG. These 60 colors, the OnePlus, comes in a lot of different colors interstellar glow, which is this color right here. They should just probably call our fingerprint glow, because it's just really, really bad at fingerprints, onyx, black, glacial green and polar silver. While over here on the lg, you only get two different colors classy white and classy blue.
This is the classy white version really, really excellent devices. They both look great in their own way. Like I, said: I prefer the styling of the OnePlus. It's a lot easier on the hand the OnePlus does have a curved display, while on the LG they kept it flat, and that is definitely your preference as far as what people prefer. You do get more of that glare on that curve, while watching videos on the OnePlus, while on the LG, you do not get much of a glare on there.
I haven't had an issue with accidental touches on the OnePlus, so yeah really, really nice LG's, like software annoyances, for me that I think the OnePlus just rules over software really, really annoyed with the software over here on the LG. While it does have good hardware, the software is just really not that great say, for instance, if I swipe on you know you go to my messages or, if I go on my camera and then go home like I'm using a third-party launcher over here, I'm using Nova Launcher on the lg doesn't really work too well. So, if I go on my camera and I swipe on home, it's sort of unresponsive for a second. Whenever I go back home, as you can see right there, then it's already popping up like going to camera, go home, so try to swipe it's really unresponsive. So if I go home and try their luck by double tap that doesn't work right away, and I've noticed that that's really, really annoying.
For me and, like I, said, the stock launcher on the LG is definitely trash. I suggest installing a third-party launcher, but, like I, said little annoyances like this, they do annoy me when using the allergy. Usually it won't respond until these little corners, which is the Google Assistant, pop-up, and then it'll be responsive, while on the one plus side, this is the stock launcher on the OnePlus. I have not felt a need to add a third-party launcher on here. This is really, really nice.
You can customize the hell out of this phone by changing the colors icons and fingerprint sensor and the horizon light so in the department. As far as software goes, I definitely give that win to one-plus. Really. Nice updates on the LG I. Think I've only gotten one update on here, which is really sad.
Let's see if we could go into software information about the phone, so software info, it's on the April 1st security patch. This phone came out, I believe it was in March, and it's only got an April 1st security patch, which is really, really annoying. So LG definitely does not have a good track record as far as updates go while over here on the OnePlus, it's a little better on T-Mobile, but still they are a little delayed on the OnePlus side, and this one has a let's see, build number. Let's see we could go to is yeah this one's on still on April, first security patch, so they were both on the same one. But I definitely did get a recent update over here on the one plus when I first got it, but um this one would more likely be getting another update before the LG and as far as software quality goes, I prefer to one plus oxygen OS compared to LG's ux9 or whatever they're calling if it's just a lot smoother a lot easier to use.
Lg seemed a little more clunky and I. Definitely don't like the scroll down for your notifications, say: I prefer OnePlus is better. It's just in my opinion, looks more stock and looks better. You do get that stock experience on OnePlus, more so than you do on the LG. So software wise, the LG, has definitely been pissing me off as far as no facial recognition and little quirks and their software issues and stutters and things like that, but both phones are really, really fast.
I'd still think the OnePlus is a lot smoother, of course, with that 98 refresh rate, but you would not be disappointed if you were picked either. One of these devices price-wise the OnePlus, came out at $6.99. Eight gigabytes 128 T-Mobile variant right here, while on the LG it got released at $7.99, and it gets back to 79 799 now, but about a week ago it was at $6.99. So these phones were at the same price for really, really excellent phones, so price-wise I would definitely probably go with the OnePlus. Yes, they did increase their price from last year, but uh they're charging you for the 5g crap, which I think is dumb, but as far as quality goes, the OnePlus definitely has improved from the one plus seven, and essentially this is a one plus seven pro pretty much design wise, but it definitely has better software.
It has the bunch camera over here rather than a pop-up camera, and it does have 5g on here with the newer Snapdragon chipset. So really, really excellent devices like I, said, depending on what you're looking for I, definitely preferred a 1 + / 2 LG. Now, as far as cameras go, the LG definitely kicks the 1. + is asked, but the 1 + is no slouch the camera quality over here and video quality is really, really good, but the LG is always the king when it comes down to camera quality, audio quality again, the LG definitely wins here with having that headphone jack and the quad DAC system on here, but the OnePlus still has perfect audio. So hopefully you enjoyed this video.
