Lenovo Yoga Tablet 8-inch hands-on

Hey guys John Behan from foam Reno right now, I'm taking a hands-on look at the 8-inch version. The Lenovo yoga tablet I'm here in New York City, and they just announced this tablet. It's pretty neat, it's an Android tablet, of course, and it has a very cool, looking form factor something I haven't really seen in the Android space or in general in the tablet space. So it's pretty cool. What I'm going to show you here so the first thing that really stands out is just the design of the Lenovo yoga tab. This is the 8-inch version, a lot more compact, of course, more travel blending travel-friendly, easier to hold in one hand, which is great so fill up.

Reading books. It just has a very ideal of feel to it now to lower the profile you can see how amazingly thin it is aside from the hinge right here and on the sides, so it's pretty thin lightweight sturdy construction, I'm liking the build quality, the sky very different. Look, it kind of reminds me of those Apple keyboards that you see with the Macs so very similar in its design approach, unique here in a tablet, form factor and the looks like it's a metal finish. It has a textured I've been textured pattern career, giving a good amount of you know clean lock at all times. If we take a look around the tablet here.

So on the side here you will certainly have a 30 nanometer, headset jack, along with the ball and control some microphone. There's nothing on this side on the other. Let's take a dedicated power button, the microUSB port for charging its internal battery. You have a front-facing camera here, it's a 1.6 and megapixel front facing camera, and it's also a fitted with a rear camera to a higher five megapixel camera, which is pretty, and this back casing here is actually a kickstand which is pretty, pretty rare amongst tabs in jail. We know that the surface has it, but this also employs a kickstand zone which is very useful when you open it up, you have actually a micro SD card slot right there.

So you can actually increase its internal storage capacity. Now it's available it with 16 or 32 gigabytes of internal storage. Now display here is an 8-inch display. Its resolution stands at 1280 by 800, pretty good viewing angles from what I'm looking at here. Colors are nice and natural doesn't seem too overly saturated, see my goodness to focus here, and it's better detail.

It's not 1080p, but hey. It's still good enough very sharp. For this type panel. It looks more like an LCD type panel than an AMOLED. Of course, it's running Android 4.2 jelly bean, and you can see here it's running a customized Android experience from Lenovo. They kind of ditched the apps panel, and what we have here is just everything's done through the nearly home screen here.

I could still get next to it looks like a notifications panel right there. You have some connectivity features right there. You have all the function of the Android very minimalist, looking new Y, which is pretty nice. Some people really appreciate that it's powered by a quad-core, 1.2, gigahertz processor, it's the empty 815 processor phones, I'm, told they're a couple with one gigabyte of RAM and the battery life for this year, there's mention to give 18 hours of web browsing, Wi-Fi web browsing and retails for 249 for 8 and 12 and $2.99 for the 10-inch model. So this is the cool the kickstand you could pop it up.

So, if you're watching videos, it's pretty sturdy in the way it holds up the tablet. So you could use it in this angle or if you want your morons typing, you can flip it down like so and makes a real idea for the typing experience. It's a pretty cool port back somebody different I'm liking, the overall bill quality of design that stands out prepared some mother to Android tablets out there, and it's going to be available actually pretty much soon tomorrow. I believe, if we have to provide different retailers, because one learn more about the Lenovo yoga tablet guys check out our website phone arena come, Joni thanks for watching.
