Lenovo Yoga Tablet 10 Video Review (HD)

What's up I'm Jeff Haines from tech bargains, and this is the video review of the Lenovo yoga tablet.10 Lenovo is no strangers to tablet production. Having made plenty of consumer and business slates in the past. However, it's arguable that it was a popular tablet happens to be the IdeaPad yoga, so it makes sense that all updated tablets from Lenovo would borrow the yoga name as well. Apart from trading Windows 8 in favor of Android, the bigger question hanging over this device is head is: can it actually live up to the yoga name? The Lenovo yoga tablet, 10 that we reviewed was powered by an arm MTV quad-core processor, running at 1.2 gigahertz. It came with 1 gigabyte of RAM and 16 gigabytes of internal storage that could be expanded up to 64 gigabytes of storage via micros card content was displayed on a 10.1-inch HD IPS display with a native resolution of 1280 by 800. The system also packed a rear-facing, 5 megapixel camera and a front-facing 1.6 megapixel camera, as well as Android, 4.2 or jellybean. It also featured full Wi-Fi support, Bluetooth 4.0 and was rated to have up to 18 hours of battery life on a single charge. The first thing that stood out to us was the build quality of the 10-inch tablet.

Although it's not entirely made from aluminum at first glance, it definitely seems like it. The aluminum base and the flip out stand are both solid, ensuring that it's stable when it's propped up on a surface, there's no flexing to be found when you hold the device by its tapered edge, and the system looks like it was made from high-quality components. Even the backlit power button that seems stolen from all power books doesn't appear to be made from plastic, even though it is. The overall impression is that this is an extremely well-built tablet. That leads to the second point, which is that the design is unique.

The large bulging edge on the left side of the device holds the large lithium cells. That also doubles as the main portion of the kickstand. That means that grabbing and holding the device can feel rather natural, especially because you have the grip and most of the weight on one side of the tablet. Dual speakers at the front, edges of the tablet provide decent stereo sound, while the right side of the base holds the headphone and volume controls. This gives the yoga tablet a compact sleek feel to the system speaking the battery life.

There are plenty of manufacturers that claim that their device can run forever, but the yoga tablet manages to deliver its rated 18 hours of life by cramming in a nine thousand William cell in the bottom of the tablet. That means that you're definitely going to enjoy a lot of browsing movie watching and gaming. Finally, we like the optional case of the tablet 10, which was specifically designed to protect the tablet from the elements thanks to its magnetic clasp and the design made to accommodate the battery bulge. The case effectively works better than many other protective cases for tablets. We recommend picking up one of the cases if you can get the system.

However, we found three rather notable issues with the tablet that really held the system back. The first was the screen of the device which is noticeably weak. You've got a 10-inch screen, that's only packing a 1280 by 800 resolution, which is horrible contrast this resolution with something like the Nexus 7, which has a 1920 by 1200 resolution on the screen. That's three inches smaller, and you realize just what kind of problem it is for a tablet. Even worse, the screen seems to display a yellow, tint and washed out colors, which highlights that this is more of a budget tablet than anything else.

A further issue is the res can jellybean. That's on the system when you turn it on. It shows the familiar jellybean lock screen, but once you get to the home screen, everything looks different icons, look how they did, there's no app tray and customization settings and widgets are light. It seems ineffective to customize jellybean just to make it worse to use. Finally, the largest issue that we had with the tablet 10 is that it's very slow, the quad-core 1.2 gigahertz processor just felt slow doing the most basic of activities, meaning that power users and gamers really won't enjoy processor, intensive, apps or games on the tablet. Well, In nova yoga tablet: 10 really seemed like it was going to be a great tablet.

The design of the device complete with kickstand and the enhanced battery life really made it seem like it was going to be a clear winner. Unfortunately, once you turned it on the low resolution of the screen, coupled with the slow processor speed and the unnecessary skin of jelly really held the tablet back now, this not to say that it can't be enhanced or improved upon, but as it currently stands, we could only give the Lenovo yoga tablet.10, a three and a half out of five for the latest coupons and deals on tablets like the Lenovo yoga tablet, 10 be sure to check out TEC bargains.
