Lenovo Duet Chromebook unboxing and first impressions

What's up everyone mark here with pro memo TV, and we're unboxing, another treat that you all have been asking me for all spring and summer. That sound is the sound of the Lenovo duet that I cannot successfully easily get out of the box. So a few things I'll bring up here since I know you'll ask later for me: uh we're running a MediaTek processor. It's an outscore, 2 gigahertz, it's a 10.1 inch 1920 by 1200 IPS display um 128 gigs of ram, and I had this pulled up over here, so I can double-check, but they didn't write the uh to me not of ram of storage space. Since I wanted you all to roast me, but I believe we are running four gigs of ram on this model. So let's pull this baby out and take a look at it.

Shall we uh? Let's get this thing open, wow! It's incredibly sealed all right! So what have we here? So we have the device itself. I'm going to see what else comes in this box. Okay, perfect. We got our little external casing here, got our separate keyboard base. Here, that's going to be part of the case, obviously charger and all that good stuff in the box here somebody gave me a hard time about opening the charger, so I'm not going to do it this time, and then you can give me a hard time about opening the charger.

Let's take a look at this. This is a device that you all been really curious about. I have been to because we don't get a ton of uh tablets in the chrome market. You know we did the um, the Google Pixel slate earlier this year, which everybody seemed excited to talk about again ooh. This is nice.

Let's see here all right, first impressions, all right, so we've got a magnetic attachment there, which I'm sure you just saw as I got in there. I have to put a good amount of pressure to separate it. The keyboard feels pretty nice for being what amounts to just a very thin piece of plastic. I'm pretty happy about that. It's really lightweight! It's super thin too.

I don't know if you can easily see here I'll point to the side camera here and then back up to main, so it's a pretty thin uh, pretty thin device, honestly, even with the keyboard attached, and then I mean realistically, you can use it without that's sort of the point here. So it's fired up. It passed my test. I didn't have to plug it in cool, so the back piece is also I'm going to put that there just in case I'm an idiot, but now the backplate is also uh magnetic and attached. There that's awesome, and that was gonna, be my next question because I was like how do I stand this up properly on the desk and that's how you can see it right.

There they've got a built-in stand for it. That's pretty cool all right. Let's see what we got here well looks like it had just enough charge to show off that it fired up, but not enough to stay on we'll. Try it one more time now that we've got it all passed. So, let's see what happens here.

Folks, Lenovo I'm pretty impressed so far, all right I'll log in we'll take a look at the main screen and go from there yeah, I'm pretty happy with the keyboard. So far. Honestly, it's tiny. Obviously I mean you can tell this is a not very wide device, but what's interesting to me, is that there's a ton of key travel for what amounts to like I said before I mean look, how thin that device is. The keyboard itself is really, really thin, but the keys travel almost the entire distance of the device, which I think is pretty amazing- all right.

So take a look. We got some video, I'm going to turn on the speakers. Let's see what this sounds like bear. Grills is jumping out of a helicopter, so first impressions too I'll leave my microphone into it. You get your Jesse final certification.

For me, Mr skydive, I'm going to say, bear grills voice sounds like Christian Bale. So now I want Christian Bale to play. Bear grills in a movie about eating reindeer in the wild, but it looks pretty good. It sounds pretty good. I'm I'm pretty happy with this, and this is you know with no play time, so I'm pretty excited to dive into this.

Actually again, like I said earlier, we don't get a lot of chrome tablets, so this is kind of fun that it's a two in one and that it could be a tablet uh. It could also be a more standard, Chromebook and, what's really cool is because of that this all just neatly collapses together, like a little notebook, I mean it's really. This is a great size. I think this is uh why you all probably been so interested in hearing about this device because yeah it is its the design's cool it feels nice, it's small, it's really lightweight! I mean I can easily one hand this and the screen looks good. So here's what I would say smash that subscribe button, smash that bell button, and you'll know when we release the full review here shortly and uh.

In addition to this, I guess a few things to look forward to um after we're done with the Lenovo duet, we're doing the Acer Chromebook 713, which is literally the other device. You all have been asking for all season from us, and they're. Finally, here um and after that, I'm going to talk about all the new devices that we've talked about this year. We're going to do a nice little comparison. Video so start formulating your questions.

You have questions about the older devices. I've linked playlist, you name it. You can find all the stuff on our channel here and look at our chrome reviews from 2020. So on that I'm gonna start reviewing this. I'm gonna start putting it through its literal paces.

While I pace around the room awesome. Thank you for watching, and I will see you all next time with a full review of the Lenovo duet.
